Mercedes-Benz is introducing the face-lifted 2018 Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet, along with the new 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe. Official unveiling of the 2018 Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet is scheduled to happen a week from now at the upcoming 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The introduction of the updated S-Class Cabriolet was well-expected after Mercedes took the wraps off the face-lifted S-Class Sedan or Saloon earlier this year. Compared to its predecessor, the new S-Class Sedan offers a new appearance, new dynamic feeling and new levels of comfort and convenience. This is thanks to a number of changes like new front and rear fascias and new grille design as well as new engines and a host of innovative technologies.
Just as expected, the updated 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet Facelift features more or less the same changes as that made on the 2018 S-Class Saloon. For instance, the new S-Class Cabriolet comes with new or functionally extended driving assistance systems, the latest infotainment generation, integrated Energizing comfort control as well as a new generation of steering wheels. The S-Class Cabriolet also features a modern control and display concept with Widescreen Cockpit.Read the entire article 2018 Mercedes-Benz S560, S63 and S65 AMG Cabriolet get a facelift ahead of Frankfurt Motor Show
This year, Mercedes-Benz will be celebrating its 130th anniversary by launching the exclusive Mercedes-AMG S 63 4MATIC Cabriolet "Edition 130". This special edition, which boasts of exquisite appointments, recently had its world premiere at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
To give you a brief history of the brand, it was in 1886 that Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler invented the automobile. That was only the beginning as they’ve started a tradition of ground-breaking creations and continuous development that is practiced even today.
Presented as the exclusive version of the company’s open-top four seater, the S 63 Cabriolet "Edition 130" has its fabric top in Bordeaux red, the body painted in an "alubeam silver" finish, and the 10-spoke 20-inch wheels in matt black, with rim flanges having a high-sheen.Read the entire article Mercedes-Benz marks 130th anniversary with debut of S63 AMG ‘Edition 130’ at Detroit Auto Show
Mercedes-Benz is offering what can only be described as the dream car for true automobile fans – the S 63 4MATIC Cabriolet. This marks the first time in the brand’s 48-year history that it is offering a four-seater Cabriolet in the S-Class segment. This newest product is an appealing choice for those who are looking for luxury and performance. Traveling can be done in style for the driver and as many as three passengers.
The performance figures are amazing. It is powered by a 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine that delivers 430 kW (585 hp) and it has a peak torque of 900 Nm. It comes with AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive with rear-biased torque split as standard, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. Deceleration is optimized with the use of a high-performance composite brake system.
This vehicle offers a superior and dynamic performance due to its highly rigid bodyshell structure that features innovations like the luggage compartment bulkhead built using magnesium. A convertible’s design is typically heavier but the automaker compensated by using a lightweight lithium-ion battery.Read the entire article Mercedes-AMG launches 4-seater S 63 4MATIC Cabriolet
Alpina is releasing a new limited edition model that is essentially a more powerful and more appealing re-creation of the BMW 4 Series. This is the new BMW Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99, which would be sold either as a convertible and coupe versions, with deliveries set next year. As its name indicates, only 99 examples of the Edition 99 will be built.
This new BMW Alpina B4 S Biturbo Edition 99 is a limited edition model of the Alpina B4 S, which was derived from the BMW 4 Series. However, the B4 S is even more powerful and more dynamic than the high performance iteration of the 4 Series – the M4 Coupe. The Coupe version of the Edition 99 can be availed either as rear-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive (left-hand drive only). The Convertible model of the Edition, meanwhile, is configured as a rear-wheel drive.
While the 3.0-liter straight-six turbocharged engine of the M4 delivers 431 hp of output, the 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six mill inside the B4 S offers up to 440 hp (324 kW). It also delivers 442 lb.-ft. (660 Nm) of torque, allowing the B4 S to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.2 seconds for the standard rear-wheel-drive configuration, or 3.9 seconds with the all-wheel drive version.Read the entire article BMW Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99 is a more powerful limited edition B4 S
Mercedes-Benz has chosen New York City as the location to reveal to us the refreshed C63 AMG family. These comprise the coupe, sedan, and cabriolet. In fact, we have seen the pre production models being tested but finally, the automaker has decided to get rid of the camouflage.
Now, we finally see them in the flesh, and we would say that one of the most obvious changes would be the new Panamericana grille that is actually pretty standard across the AMG line. That’s not the only thing it has been given though, as the 2019 C63’s front fascia has slightly been reworked as well. Meanwhile, the rear part gets twin tailpipes with high gloss chrome and a tweaked rear diffuser.
Under the hood of this C63 is a biturbo 4.0 liter V8 that enables it to produce 469 horsepower (350 kilowatts), while the C63 S has 503 horsepower (375 kilowatts). The engine is paired with a nine speed wet clutch automatic gearbox, which has been replaced by the seven speed unit in the outgoing model.Read the entire article Updated 2019 Mercedes-AMG C63 lineup gets digital cockpit, modified drive programs
The Mercedes-AMG S63 – both in its sedan and coupe guises -- is a high-performance luxurious ride that offers 612 PS (603 hp or 450 kW) of max output and 900 Nm of peak torque. These massive numbers are already considered as the higher levels of performance, but people at Brabus believe more can be done to further increase these figures. Turning belief to reality, the well-known German tuning company created the new Brabus 800 Sedan and Coupe as based on the AMG S 63 4Matic+.
As its name indicates, the Brabus 800 Sedan and Coupe based on the AMG S 63 boasts of 800 PS (789 hp or 588 kW) of max output from the heavily upgraded AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine. The peak torque level has already been boosted from 900 Nm to 1,000 Nm (737 lb.-ft.) as available at just 3,600 rpm. An untouched AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine is already powerful enough to send the AMG S 63 – both sedan and coupe versions -- sprinting from nil to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and achieving a top speed of 250 km/h.
But the upgraded eight-cylinder mill with its boosted power allows the Brabus 800 Sedan and Coupe based on the AMG S 63 to dash from true zero to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, which is 0.4 seconds quicker than their regular counterparts. As for the top speed of the Brabus 800 Sedan and Coupe based on the AMG S 63, these tuned units could go as fast as 300 km/h (186 mph). For those seeking a faster unit, Brabus is currently working hard to create some tweaks to allow the Brabus 800 Sedan and Coupe based on the AMG S 63 to go a lot faster.Read the entire article Brabus transforms Mercedes-AMG S 63 into menacing 800 Sedan and Coupe
We could sense that Volkswagen has some big plans for the new T-Roc compact SUV. In fact, on February 23, they announced that a cabriolet version is on its way to be produced in 2020. It will essentially be a convertible version of a new SUV that has not been established in the market.
A lot of us were actually surprised at the fact that Volkswagen announced this and the fact that they are coming out with a model that has a non-existent history of open roof crossovers.
Having said that, nothing is stopping the automaker from investing €80 million to bring the drop top T Roc to production. In the United States, that’s more or less $100 million. And this money will go the company’s Osnabrück plant where the convertible crossover will be produced. We have not actually heard of any details regarding the said model, but as you could see, the rendering depicts a two-door version of this folding hardtop.Read the entire article VW plans to produce cabriolet version of the T-Roc compact SUV
Today, the most powerful Mercedes-Benz model you could get is probably the twelve-cylinder S65 and Maybach S650 – as both models have an output of 621 horsepower. However, VATH decided that they would produce something beefier than that, as they took both the coupe and cabriolet versions of the C63 and worked on their 4.0 liter biturbo V8 engine so they could give out a lot more power.
After VATH worked its magic on the C63’s AMG engine, it no longer gives out just 503 horsepower in the S specification. Instead, the V8 engine can now produce as much as 690 horsepower. This V63RS package, which includes the 187 horsepower boost, will cost you right around €12,800 (or $15,900), and that does not include value added tax yet. The upgraded engine is paired to a seven speed automatic transmission. Other upgrades include a new turbocharger setup and downpipe, together with an uprated oil cooler for the engine.
It isn’t just the horsepower that gets a boost, but of course, the torque as well. Before it has been modified, the C63’s standard was 516 pound feet (700 Newton metres), and now, it has as much as 664 pound feet (900 Newton metres) of torque.Read the entire article VATH-tuned Mercedes-AMG C63 V63RS delivers 690 hp
During the recent 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, one of the few cars that stood out would be this 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS that made its debut. Because it turned heads, it has inevitably become a favourite among rendering artists.
Some of them may just be for the hell of it, like the Coupe and the Cabriolet. The newest one looks actually quite promising. Imagined by artist Aksyonov Nikita, is a four-door coupe in the range topping AMG guise.
Up front, some of the noticeable changes would be the new bumper and the modified grille that includes the AMG badging. The rear end, on the other hand, gets a new bumper, carbon fiber diffuser and a boot lid spoiler, as well as quad tailpipes.Read the entire article 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS rendered as a Coupe, Cabriolet and in AMG guise
The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet is certainly a premium convertible that many desire. Of course, it would be nice if customers could create their ideal E-Class Cabriolet according to their taste and preferences. To help customers in the process of creating their perfect E-Class Cabriolet, Mercedes-Benz has already included the new model in its official online configurator.
As offered in the United States, the new E-Class Cabriolet is availed in two flavors -- E400 Cabriolet and the E400 4Matic Cabriolet. The E400 Cabriolet has a starting price of $66,300 and comes powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that delivers 329 hp (245 kW) of max output and 354 lb-ft (479 Nm) of peak torque. The two-wheel drive E400 Cabriolet could sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 5.5 seconds. On the other hand, the E400 4MATIC Cabriolet comes with base price of $68,800. Although it is powered by the same engine as the E400 Cabriolet, the E400 4MATIC Cabriolet has power sent to all four wheels, allowing it to accelerate from nil to 60 mph in just 5.3 seconds.
Thanks to the online configurator, interested customers could further individualize the E-Class Cabriolet. For instance, interested buyers could choose between 11 different exterior paints. These finishes include black (no extra cost) and designo Diamond White Metallic (additional $1,515). Four colors are available for the soft top of the E-Class Cabriolet – Black, Blue, Red and Dark Brown.Read the entire article Mercedes-Benz opens online configurator for 2018 E-Class Cabriolet
Mercedes-Benz just made an announcement that the 2018 E Class Cabriolet has finally landed in the United States. If you had not known, the E Class will be positioned in between the C and the S-Class convertibles. In fact, the E Class is being marketed as a luxury drop top that will have both a pure, elegant design, with long distance comfort just enough for four occupants.
As its name suggests, it will have a number of similarities with an E Class Coupe, except it will feature a fabric soft top in several colour options like black, red, dark blue, and dark brown. No matter which colour the customer selects, all of them will have the same feature, which promises to reduce both wind and road noise. It is fully automatic with sophisticated insulation that cuts down wind and noise when driving on the highway. In only 20 seconds, the top can fully be opened and closed, while traveling at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour (48 kilometers per hour). The roof then folds into a compartment in the trunk after opening.
Aside from the convertible fabric roof, the E Class Cabriolet comes with remarkable options including a heat reflecting leather upholstery, an Aircap wind deflector, as well as an Airscarf neck level heating system.Read the entire article 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet now available at US dealerships, priced from $66,300
Last month at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, we witnessed the debut of the refreshed S-Class Coupe and Cabriolet. And finally, Mercedes-Benz has begun taking orders of these models in Europe, and deliveries will begin in January next year. But apart from that, we got another surprise from Mercedes-AMG as they revealed a limited S63 Coupe 4Matic+ Yellow Night Edition. And this unique model will only be available for six months, with a starting price of 202,121.50 euros ($237,688).
The automaker did not just come up with random names for these models, and the reason why it has the word “night” in its name is because customers can get the version of the S63 Coupe finished in either Selenite Grey Magno or Night Black Magno. The “yellow” in its name, on the other hand, refers to the yellow trims it will get on the mirror housings and the brake calipers. The S63 Coupe then gets a set of seven set double-spoke black wheels.
Obviously, this is more than just the paint job. The Yellow Night Edition was designed with the Aerodynamics Package that comes with a larger front splitter and lip spoiler on the trunk. The aerodynamic parts are finished in high-gloss black, but customers can get the Carbon Fiber Package if they prefer these parts to be made of carbon fiber. The coupe also gets a set of stripes that stretch along the lower edges on both sides of the car.Read the entire article 2017 Mercedes-AMG Coupe 4Matic+ Yellow Night Edition costs $237,688
Very recently, Polestar unveiled its very first production model in the form of the Polestar 1 high-performance hybrid coupe. Yet, there are already people who are wondering how a Polestar 1 would look like once it transforms into a convertible. Imagining such could be hard, so a rendering by graphic artist X-Tomi could provide some help.
X-Tomi had actually rendered the Polestar 1 coupe as the Polestar 1 shooting brake or estate wagon. This version of the Polestar comes with a full-length roof and a rear end similar to a hatchback. In a way, the Polestar 1 shooting brake would allow Polestar to offer a unique mix of performance, range and practicality. It looks gorgeous too.
Now, X-Tomi didn’t stop at the shooting brake rendering. He chopped off the roof, the B- and C-pillars, and then added some features that we would usually find in a convertible. With a couple of visual changes, X-Tomi managed to render the Polestar 1 convertible with an exterior that is wrapped in a midnight blue finish and an interior in black.Read the entire article Polestar 1 high-performance hybrid coupe is rendered as a convertible by X-Tomi
When Mercedes-Benz unveiled the face-lifted or updated sedan (or saloon) version of the S-Class for the 2018 model year, the carmaker stunned the public with new front and rear fascias, new grille design, new engines and an array of innovative technologies. Of course, it was expected that Mercedes-Benz would also update the coupe and cabriolet versions of its flagship model.
Now, the German carmaker is officially confirming those updates with the face-lifted 2018 Mercedes S-Class Coupe and 2018 Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet models. Both new models will be formally unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.
As expected, the updates on the 2018 Mercedes S-Class Coupe were more or less the same as the extensive tweaks implemented on the 2018 S-Class Saloon. For instance, the new S-Class Coupe is provided with new or functionally extended driving assistance systems, integrated Energizing comfort control and the latest infotainment generation.Read the entire article Mercedes-Benz introduces 2018 S-Class Coupe, S63 and S65 AMG Coupe facelifts
A few months ago, Mercedes-Benz promised that they will be treating everyone to a “big surprise” during the Monterey Car Week. And true enough, many of us were stunned as they unveiled the all electric Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet convertible version of the hardtop model that made its debut at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance last year.
Just like an art piece, this model is no doubt a head turner just like its predecessor. The Vision 6 Cabriolet stretches out to nineteen feet in length, and it sits on 24-inch wheels. Its hood appears extra long, while the tail tapers uniquely to a certain point. The front fascia gets a huge grille finished in chrome, which contrasts with the slim headlights. Mercedes actually refers to the rear end as a “boat tail”, complementing the Nautical Blue Metallic name for the exterior finish.
The Vision 6 Cabriolet’s interior completely stands out from the exterior. The two-seater cabin is finished in a clean white interior with silver accents - from the seats, the dashboard, to the steering wheel. The center console gets a wing-like “flowing” design that is given an ambient blue lighting around the elements, as well as the door panels. The illuminated dots around the seats all have tiny backlit Mercedes logos.Read the entire article Mercedes-Benz surprises us with Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet
After seeing the A5 Cabrio in action for over a decade, ABT Sportsline for sure knows the best aftermarket options for your new Audi. ABT now offers the 2nd generation Audi A5 Cabriolet a new tuning kit. Using ABT’s new power boost, Audi A5’s 248hp (252PS) and 273lb-ft (370Nm) of torque 2.0 liter petrol engine can raise its output by up to 325hp (330PS) and 325lb-ft (440Nm). That is nearly the same output as the new 3.0-liter V6 engine on the Audi S5 Cabriolet which delivers an impressive 354hp (359PS) and 369lb-ft (500Nm) of torque.
Alternatively, the German tuner offers an upgrade for the A5’s Diesel variant. The stock model’s 212hp (215PS) and 325lb-ft (440Nm) 2.0-liter TDI engine can get an additional 25hp (25PS) and 30lb-ft (40Nm) power boost. Owners of the new Audi A5 with 3.0-liter TDI can also avail of ABT’s power kit. This will increase the larger engine’s standard output of 215hp (218PS) to 246hp (250PS) while the normal 295lb-ft (400Nm) of torque is now pushed to the limits at 332lb-ft (450Nm).
Customers who want to give their new Audi A5 Cabriolet more muscle can also choose from ABT Sportsline’s 19-inch and 20-inch wheels in different varieties. Another option is the high performance tires provided by Dunlop and Continental to wrap the new set of wheels.Read the entire article ABT Sportsline gears up to give more power to your new 2018 Audi A5 Cabriolet
Remember the Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet that made its debut back in November 2016 at Los Angeles Auto Show? Yup, that’s the upscale version of the already luxurious S65. A few years ago, Daimler revived the Maybach nameplate to do a collaboration with Mercedes’ S-Class Sedan. The result was an extra-long super high-end sedan, looking all muscular, but at the same time, sensual.
Ever since then, Mercedes and Maybach have launched a couple of special edition vehicles, including the limited edition G650 Landaulet, where only 99 units were built. Alongside that was the S650 Cabriolet that is limited to 300 units.
It seems like the 300 units they were planning to build have already been built. Images online show dozens of the Mercedes Maybach S650 Cabriolet parked outside the Brabus headquarters in Bottrop. These images were posted on a German website Mercedes-Benz Passion Blog. And sources say that these beauties, painted in ivory, were made by the three-pointed star logo, and the 621 horsepower cabriolets are being upgraded by Brabus to their necessary specifications.Read the entire article Spotted: Numerous Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet lined up outside Brabus factory
For its sleek yet subtle package combined with luxury and performance, the Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe is a car that needs no introduction. Fostla however thinks that there is a much better way to step out and make an entirely new statement. Something bold that is. In this regard, the German car tuner has not only covered the luxury two-door coupe in bright Matte Chrome Orange but also raised the engine output from 577hp (430kW) to 730hp (544kW).
The bright orange body wrap is a combination of metallic and matte finish that produces a certain shimmer while under the sun. To add more oomph to this eye popping color, Fostla has dressed up the AMG S63 with the Prior Design’s wide body kit while a new set of 15-spoke wheels in an anthracite finish bring out the coupe’s more menacing look.
Prior Design is notoriously known for its wide body kits which includes custom side skirts, side sills, fenders, bumpers, spoilers and so on. The new wheel set on the other hand consists of a lowering module and is also the secret to this Mercedes’ more aggressive stance.Read the entire article Get your daily dose of the sun with the Orange Matte 740 hp Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe by Fostla
The 2017 Shanghai Auto Show was dominated mainly by crossovers but that doesn't stop Mercedes-Benz from stepping out with a cool new update for the S-Class. During the event, the German automaker has also showed off the much anticipated Concept A Sedan, its first ever small four-door A-Class model with a coupe-like rear end.
If there’s more, Gorden Wagener, Mercedes’ head of design hinted about its latest design language during last week’s exhibit. In a statement, Wagener said that the design era of creases has finally reached its end. With that being the case, we’ll be seeing lesser lines and more rounded surfaces on their upcoming models. Sounds very promising isn't it?
Mercedes-Benz as we know, is looking to expand its current compact car lineup following the successful launch of the GLA, the CLA Shooting Brake, the CLA, the B-Class and the A-Class models. If ever, the new Concept A will be Mercedes Benz’s answer to Audi’s A3 Sedan and the BMW 1 Series. Taking its cues from the latest AMG GTs, the Concept A is also seen to represent Mercedes’ upcoming smaller car range. Still, how about a convertible version of the A-Class? This was rendered by Aksyonov Nikita and honestly, it looks amazing.Read the entire article Mercedes-Benz Concept A-Class rendered as a cabriolet
Having one of the fastest convertibles in the world may not be enough if it doesn’t come with the right color motif. This could also be what the guys at Brabus had been thinking of when they came up with this Mercedes-AMG S63-based Cabrio.
First off, the Brabus 850 we have right here is not only packed with incredible hp but it also comes with an equally powerful color scheme—imagine a completely white body with contrasting red interior to match. But that’s not all. the four-seater Mercedes-AMG cabrio is quicker than the latest Bentley Continental Supersports, thanks to its Brabus-tuned engine under the hood.
At any rate, Brabus has not only upgraded the AMG S63’s 5.5-liter stock engine but it also did some revisions on its ECU, exhaust manifolds and compressor units to make it one of the world’s most powerful and fastest convertibles.Read the entire article Brabus 850 Convertible S63 AMG's color mix is as impressive as its power and speed
