Luckily for German law enforcement officers, Mercedes-Benz is presenting them with more ways to catch criminals as it launches the X-Class truck for cops at the General Police Equipment Exhibition & Conference 2018 in Frankfurt. Aside from the truck, the automaker will also reveal other models that are part of its range of Polizei-ready models, including some really efficient options.
Here is the thing, MercedesBenz does not offer many details about the changes for its police focused vehicles. But we are assuming that if these tweaks are similar to those like law enforcement models in the United States, these will likely include radio systems, on-board computers for officers, and a lot of storage space to keep all of the cops’ equipment.
For the X-Class in its police spec, the model is based on an all wheel drive to make it perform even better off road. The Polizei livery, however, makes the truck look really cool.Read the entire article Mercedes-Benz has new police-ready packages for X-Class, Sprinter, E-Class, GLC

Though the current version of the Sprinter is available in a rear wheel drive and an all wheel drive option, customers will now be offered in a front wheel drive version of the van.Read the entire article 2018 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter can be configured for any type of job
The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet is certainly a premium convertible that many desire. Of course, it would be nice if customers could create their ideal E-Class Cabriolet according to their taste and preferences. To help customers in the process of creating their perfect E-Class Cabriolet, Mercedes-Benz has already included the new model in its official online configurator.
As offered in the United States, the new E-Class Cabriolet is availed in two flavors -- E400 Cabriolet and the E400 4Matic Cabriolet. The E400 Cabriolet has a starting price of $66,300 and comes powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that delivers 329 hp (245 kW) of max output and 354 lb-ft (479 Nm) of peak torque. The two-wheel drive E400 Cabriolet could sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 5.5 seconds. On the other hand, the E400 4MATIC Cabriolet comes with base price of $68,800. Although it is powered by the same engine as the E400 Cabriolet, the E400 4MATIC Cabriolet has power sent to all four wheels, allowing it to accelerate from nil to 60 mph in just 5.3 seconds.
Thanks to the online configurator, interested customers could further individualize the E-Class Cabriolet. For instance, interested buyers could choose between 11 different exterior paints. These finishes include black (no extra cost) and designo Diamond White Metallic (additional $1,515). Mercedes-Benz just made an announcement that the 2018 E Class Cabriolet has finally landed in the United States. If you had not known, the E Class will be positioned in between the C and the S-Class convertibles. In fact, the E Class is being marketed as a luxury drop top that will have both a pure, elegant design, with long distance comfort just enough for four occupants.
As its name suggests, it will have a number of similarities with an E Class Coupe, except it will feature a fabric soft top in several colour options like black, red, dark blue, and dark brown. No matter which colour the customer selects, all of them will have the same feature, which promises to reduce both wind and road noise. It is fully automatic with sophisticated insulation that cuts down wind and noise when driving on the highway. In only 20 seconds, the top can fully be opened and closed, while traveling at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour (48 kilometers per hour). The roof then folds into a compartment in the trunk after opening.
Aside from the convertible fabric roof, the E Class Cabriolet comes with remarkable options including a heat reflecting leather upholstery, an Aircap wind deflector, as well as an Airscarf neck level heating system.Read the entire article 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet now available at US dealerships, priced from $66,300
Mercedes-Benz will attempt to achieve what you never thought would go together in a vehicle - a gasoline engine that has low fuel consumption like that of a diesel. And this will be demonstrated on the new two-door E-Class models that will be equipped with the M 264 engine. This four-cylinder engine has been turbocharged and promises to have an output of 299 horsepower (220 kilowatts) from 5,800 rpm and a maximum torque of 295 pound-feet (400 Newton-metres) from 3,000 rpm.
What makes it different from any other four-cylinder 2.0 liter mill is the fact that it has been tweaked, and a 48 V starter-alternator and an electric 48 V water pump have been added. The “EQ Boost” branded starter-alternator enables the boost function to be available at an engine speed range of 2,500 rpm, while increasing output by 14 horsepower (10 kilowatts) and 110 pound-feet (150 Newton metres). This is not the only performance upgrade it has, but Mercedes promises that start up and acceleration will be silky smooth as well.
To save fuel, the M 264 unit can be switched off when the car does not need to use its power, like when coasting or decelerating. This helps the vehicle save fuel when the driver is not stepping on the gas pedal. There is a difference between the coupe and the cabriolet. The four-cylinder unit in the former consumes 6.7 liters / 100 kilometers in the combined cycle, where it emits 149 g/km of CO2 emissions. The latter, on the other hand, uses up 6.8 liters while emitting 154 g/km.Read the entire article 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 Coupe and Cabrio come with clever M264 four-cylinder engine
Emissions, emissions, emissions. We have been hearing a lot about this issue lately, and we know that automakers dread it too, as it is the worst thing that could happen right now for their business.
This time, the victim of emissions would be Mercedes-Benz and now they have to halt the production of their E350d in Germany. This is because they have to implement some changes to the 3.0 liter V6 turbodiesel so it produces less NOx emissions. The company's plan is too fit in a selective catalytic reduction system with more surface area, maximizing the company's AdBlue after-treatment fluid, but Mercedes will still inject the same amount of AdBlue in the system.
Autocar said that it will take a few weeks for Mercedes to do the engine tweaks. Currently, the 3.0 liter V6 produces 258 horsepower (192 kilowatts) and 457 pound feet (620 Newton metres) of torque. The company makes it clear that the only affected engines are the ones on sale in the market since May.Read the entire article Emission issues now affecting Mercedes-Benz E350d models, sales stopped in Germany
Mercedes-Benz is not the company you expect to produce slow poke vehicles, and if you want more power boost then they got you covered with an AMG option. The team of tuners at Brabus takes these Mercedes-Benz releases and turns them into bolder, madder creations. Now the notable tuner has revealed its latest creation named the Brabus E-Class Wagon which is based on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate.
Clients who are searching for an even edgier style can opt for new wheel designs that measure between 18 and 21 in diameter. The larger ones measure 9 inches in front and 10.5 inches at the back.
These wheels were safety-certified for the S 213 model series by independent German Technical Inspection Association TUV. Drivers can also opt to make the big wheels look more attractive by choosing Brabus' suspension turning alternative.Read the entire article Brabus is back with a Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon power upgrade
Reporting for duty. It’s been a year since the Victoria Police was loaned a new Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe. In those 12 months, the coupe served as the law enforcers’ reliable highway patrol car. Just when the time has arrived to surrender the car back to Mercedes-Benz Australia, a new replacement quickly took its place.
Clad in police livery with a matching name as the Guardian V2, the new patrol car is none other than the Mercedes-AMG E43 Sedan. The 3.0-liter V6 biturbo engine under its hood is more than enough to fulfill its role as an everyday highway patroller.
Paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission, the E43 boasts an output of 396 hp (295kW) and 384 lb-ft (520Nm) of torque. When chasing cars at high speeds, the AMG specified E43 police car has enough muscle to dash the highways from 0-62 miles (100/kph) per hour in under 4.6 seconds before topping off at 155 mph (250kph).Read the entire article Mercedes-AMG E43 Sedan is the newest Aussie Highway Patrol Car
Following its global debut at the 2017 North American International Auto Show (2017 Detroit Auto Show) in January and its European unveiling at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show this month, the new Mercedes-Benz is now finally available to order, at least in its home market Germany. In fact, interested clients could now go Mercedes’ Web site and configure their own E Class according to their tastes and preferences.
As to how much the new Mercedes-Benz E Class Coupe would cost, the German premium carmaker has already provided a cheat list on the starting prices on each of the four models available at launch: the E200, the E220d, the E300, and the E400 4Matic. For those who have made their orders, they could expect to take deliveries of the latest iteration of the E Class Coupe as early as spring 2017.
The entry-level E200 derives its power from a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that could deliver up to 184 hp (135 kW) of output and up to 221 lb.-ft. (300 Nm) of torque. This amount of power is enough to send the Mercedes E200 Coupe sprinting from nil to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and achieving a top speed of 240 km/h. The Mercedes E200 Coupe is available in Germany at a starting price of EUR49,051.80 (including VAT).Read the entire article 2017 Mercedes-Benz E Class Coupe priced from 49,051 euros in Germany

German premium carmaker Mercedes-Benz will commence deliveries of its new 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe in March, after introducing this luxury sports car in December 2016 and unveiling it at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show in January. But just as Mercedes starts deliveries of the E-Class Coupe, it will also unfurl the fifth and final member of the range at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March – the new open-air 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet.
Currently, the new E-Class family is made up of four models – Sedan (including China-only long wheelbase saloon), Estate, Coupe and All-Terrain. The addition of the Cabriolet model will finally complete Mercedes’ E-Class lineup when it is formally unveiled for the global public at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
The 2018 Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet should look similar to the coupe version. In fact, this drop-top model is the lone 2018 Mercedes E-Class Coupe without the hard roof, plus it comes with a number of modifications to accommodate the drop-top. In this setup, the 2018 Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet allows drivers and passengers to enjoy open-air driving and riding experience. In many industries, it is the rivalries that make things exciting. In basketball for example, there is the well-known rivalry between the Los Angeles Lakers against the Boston Celtics. For football, there is Barcelona versus Real Madrid. In the automotive industry, there is the infamous competition between Ferrari and Lamborghini. At present, there is a new rivalry in the making which is the 5-Series (G30) from BMW against the E-Class (W123) of Mercedes-Benz.
What makes the battle between this two exciting is that they both belong to the executive mid-size saloon class. For cars that cost less, what buyers consider are generally related to the value or the added features. Premium models however also take into consideration the design, prestige, and heritage. The choice is made more difficult as both brands have been implementing changes.
For those wanted comfort and be on the more conservative side, the choice was always Mercedes-Benz. BMW meanwhile was all about athletic looks and a thrilling drive. However recently, BMW has been playing it a bit safe with Mercedes becoming more daring. So how do they fare against each other?Read the entire article A Quick Look: Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W213) vs. BMW 5-Series (G30)
Mercedes-Benz unveiled the 2018 E Class Coupe (sold as 2017MY in Germany) at the 2017 North American International Auto Show (or 2017 Detroit Auto Show). Reports had been saying that Mercedes will commence sales of the E Class coupe in the first or second quarter of 2017. However, it turns out that Mercedes is already selling the 2018 E Class Coupe in its home market, Germany.
Those residing in Germany could now place their orders for the 2018 Mercedes E Class Coupe and get their premium two-door cars as early as March 2017. Buyers could have their own 2018 E Class at a starting price of €41,220 ($42,980) -- excluding taxes – for the entry-level E200.
2018 2-door E Class coupe is considered to be Mercedes’ answer to the BMW 4 Series and the Audi A5. It is heavily influenced by Mercedes’ “sensual purity” design, considering its fuller body, smoother shape and sloping roofline. The new E Class coupe is underpinned by Mercedes’ latest modular rear architecture (MRA platform). In terms of dimensions, the new E-Class coupe measures 4,827 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,430 mm in height – making it 141 mm longer, 50 mm wider and 25 mm taller than the C-Class coupe. These measurements give rise to sleek yet elegant coupe proportions typical of Mercedes. Its front end is defined by a long hood with power domes, a low-positioned sport grille and central star, and an elongated greenhouse. Notable is the absence of a B pillar, paving way to four frameless side windows.Read the entire article 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe now on sale in Germany with base price of €41,220

Excited British customers waiting for the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe don’t have to wait anymore. The new Mercedes E Class Coupe is now available to order at Mercedes dealerships in the United Kingdom with a starting price of £40,135 on the road (OTR).
However, Mercedes’ E Class Coupe lineup in the UK doesn’t include the E 200 that is powered by a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that could generate up to 184 hp (135 kW) of output and up to 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque. The base model for the UK market is the diesel-powered Mercedes-Benz E 220d Coupe.
This model is powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine that could provide 194 hp (143 kW) of max output and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of peak torque, allowing the Mercedes E 220d to sprint from zero to 62 mph in 7.4 seconds. Despite such power, this diesel-powered E 220d emits only 119 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer and could travel up to 61.4 miles on a gallon of diesel fuel. This is the model that features a base price of £40,135 OTR.Read the entire article 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe now available in the UK at starting price of £40,135 OTR
After introducing its most intelligent sedan and wagon, Mercedes-Benz once again welcomes a new member of the E-Class family. Armed with state of the art technology, the new 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe also features both the aesthetic and classic appeal of a grand tourer.
Mercedes has equipped its suspensions with selective damping to ensure a more agile and sportier driving feel. That is of course aside from its powerful engine. Just like its siblings, the Coupe comes with the latest driver assistance systems, smartphone integration and a widescreen cockpit.
Prof. Dr. Thomas Weber likewise said in statement how the new E-Class Coupe combines the most advanced engineering, “agile sportiness” and modern luxury. He believes it has the “spirit” and “personality” that appeal to both mind and heart on the same level.Read the entire article 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe is roomier, offers more tech features
When Mercedes-Benz announced that it would unveil the 2018 Mercedes E-Class Coupe at the 2017 North American International Auto Show (or Detroit Auto Show), many were already expecting that the German carmaker would also reveal that an AMG version will follow. And now, it seems that an AMG version would be arriving.
According to a report by Autocar, an AMG variant of the Mercedes-Benz E Class coupe is making its entrance in the second half of 2017 -- of course, this would be after the German carmaker has released the standard E Class, probably between the first and second quarters of the same year. This hot performance model would be the Mercedes-AMG E 50 Coupe.
The 2018 2-door E Class coupe would be Mercedes’ counter to the Audi A5 and the BMW 6 Series. For now, we could only speculate on the actual appearance of the new Mercedes E Class coupe from the looks of the test model, which remains under camouflage. It seems, however, Mercedes’ “sensual purity” design has greatly influenced the new E Class coupe, judging from its fuller body, sloping roofline and smoother shape also seen on the latest coupe versions of the C Class and S Class.Read the entire article 2018 Mercedes-AMG E 50 Coupe 4Matic in the works
Compared to its predecessor, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W213) is more elegant and more stylish. Abiding by Mercedes’ design philosophy that helps achieve the so-called "Sensual Purity," the next-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class boasts of a look that stirs up emotions.
But it seems that Lorinser, a tuner from Waiblingen, Germany, believes it could do more to make the new Mercedes E Class more stylish. And because it is Lorinser, there is good reason to believe this company. After all, modifying and tinkling Mercedes cars has been the tuner’s specialty, and its experience goes all the way back to the 1930s.
One of the many things that Lorinser did to the new Mercedes-Benz E-class is to increase the output of the engines underneath its bonnet. Mercedes E Class models like the E350d or the AMG E43 could now take advantage of a power boost, thanks to Lorinser’s new engine management system. Typically, the 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine available on the E350d is able to deliver up to 258 hp of output and up to 620 Nm of torque. This allows the Mercedes E350d to sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a matter of 5.9 seconds.Read the entire article Lorinser tweaks the looks of the new 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W213)
The highly anticipated North American International Auto Show or Detroit Auto Show will be showcasing the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe. According to reports, the Coupe will be out on sale next year, probably between the first and second quarter of 2017. In fact, the executive class is expected to bear similarities with the current S-Class and C-Class models. That means that the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe will have the modular MRA platform, infotainment system, multi-function steering wheel as well as the dual screen instrument cluster just like the sedan or any of the two segments we just mentioned earlier.
At this time, we can only picture the E-Class coupe based on the test model as it is still under disguise. No matter what, it seems that Mercedes Benz applied its “sensual purity” design based on the fuller body, smoother shape and sloping roofline we see on the latest C-Class and S-Class Coupes. The E-Class Coupe goes by the project codename of “C208”, meaning to say, it now also comes with Mercedes Benz’s latest modular rear architecture. This new MRA platform is much larger judging from the wider tracks and wheelbase measurements.
Basically, the very sleek 2-door coupe is Mercedes Benz’s answer to Audi’s A5 model and BMW’s 6 Series. The upcoming E-Class Coupe will set the standard for the all-new E-Class Cabriolet that will also be on sale next year. Both cars will feature the same 2+2 seating layout and convertible hood.Read the entire article 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe set to launch 2017 Detroit Auto Show
Station wagons are becoming more handsome than ever judging from the latest all-road models whipped out by Audi, Volvo and Subaru. Joining the fray is none other than the new Mercedes Benz E-Class All-Terrain, which is set to take the centre stage at the 2016 Paris Motor Show coming this October. Let’s have a quick tour and see what the fuss is all about.
The German company has done a pretty amazing job by creating an all-road estate that almost resembles an SUV. So what is there to expect? Aside from its rugged-style front grille, the new off-road vehicle features 4MATIC all-wheel drive, flared wheel arches, bigger sets of wheels plus AIR BODY CONTROL suspension, thereby increasing its ground clearance like never before.
The ALL-TERRAIN is in fact the most versatile version to ever come out of this segment. At least that’s how Daimler management board member Ola Källenius perceives the new E-Class’ All-Wheel Drive model. Moreover, the rugged styling makes it more like a typical sport utility vehicle than a traditional station wagon but offers the same amount of space needed for those long weekend trips with the whole family.Read the entire article Mercedes-Benz E-Class takes the high road with new All-Terrain model
