MINI revealed that its Hatch models have received various improvements on their standard specification. The brand will also be launching new personalization options but this will be exclusive for UK customers. MINI USA disclosed that it has come up with what may be the most versatile and spacious MINI. This is the 2016 MINI Clubman which is also the brand’s first model to join the compact premium segment. The Cooper model in particular will be released with a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $24,100.
This new model has all the craftsmanship and premium quality expected from the brand while being wider and longer than previous models, all under $25,000. MINI USA will also be offering a Cooper S variant and is priced at $27,650.

Players of the famed Gran Turismo 6 for PlayStation 3 will now be able to have a Mini Clubman Vision Gran Turismo on their virtual garages, albeit for a limited time. Kazunori Yamauchi, president of Polyphony Digital Inc. that produces the Gran Turismo franchise, has been calling on major carmakers to contribute to the series, which is on its 15th year.
He wants the design departments of these carmakers to share their vision of future cars with the gaming community through their groundbreaking concepts. These models are transformed in virtual racers that will be integrated into the latest iteration of the Gran Turismo 6 for PlayStation 3, in the form of online updates.

Back in January, at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, MINI unveiled the John Cooper Works (JWC) Concept. Now, for the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, MINI prepared the all-new Clubman Concept. According to the official press release, the new Clubman Concept takes the Clubman a step further regarding the interior space and quality.
Showing the warm Berry Red colour, the Clubman Concept offers classic MINI design features such as the hexagonal radiator grille, Side Scuttles, the Black Band, short overhangs and elliptical front and rear headlights ensure high recognition value from every angle. Moreover, the concept car has a length of 4233 mm, a width of 1844 mm (not including the mirrors) and a height of 1450 mm.
MINI Clubman Concept is the first MINI to feature the so-called AirBreather at the side, which echoes the design theme of the AirCurtains in the front apron, cutting dynamically into the surrounding Black Band. After seeing the Camden, Bayswater and Baker Street, MINI decided that it is time to introduce a new exclusive limited edition: ladies and gentlemen, this is the MINI Clubman Bond Street. Set to make its official debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the new MINI Clubman Bond Street promises to focus on the inherent practicality and superb driving dynamics of the Clubman, with a unique interior and exterior interpretation.
According to the official press release, the production will start in March 2013 and the Clubman Bond Street will be available for a strictly limited period. Regarding its looks, the MINI Clubman Bond Street features a lustrous Midnight Black Metallic finish for the exterior, with a contrasting roof, exterior mirror caps, bonnet stripes and the lower sections of the C-pillars all finished in Cool Champagne.
The design is completed by the twin spoke 17” wheels finished in black with a highlight being the trim ring around their edge in Cool Champagne. “Bond Street” script is applied to the side indicator surrounds but also on the doors’ sill protection strips. The MINI Green Park was not the only special edition unveiled by the well-known British manufacturer owned by BMW AG, as the MINI Clubman Hyde Park also made its debut. The first visual impact with the car shows a discreet Pepper White body colour combined with Hot Chocolate contrasting paintwork, available for the first time, on the roof and exterior mirror caps.
The same Hot Chocolate colors is found on the bonnet and side stripes. A further facet of the MINI Clubman colour scheme are the lower sections of the C-pillar in body colour. To hit the market in October is the new MINI limited edition called Rally Edition Clubman S, which boasts enhancements over the stock models. The series is limited to 70 units, with each dealer in the US to get only one car. There's a rumor that the Mini will not get any bigger but rather, it will be roomier. This space concept is said to be slated to arrive within the next few years. It is notable that the Mini Countryman has cleared the path for the arrival of larger, more utilitarian versions of the standard coupe.
But now, Mini is considering a model that's more along the lines of a mini-minivan. For this space concept, sliding doors or swiveling seats are not involved.
It's likely that the model will ride on the same chassis as the Countryman, but push out all the interior dimensions to their limits.
