Ferrari F1 team is ready to return to winning titles in 2012

Ferrari’s weak spots have already been resolved and it is now prepared to return to winning titles in 2012, according to Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. They have gained back their confidence before the last race of the season in Brazil. While they realize that this year’s results fell below expectations, the Maranello outfit now understands where it didn’t do so well and where there should be improvements if it wants to have a fighting chance against Red Bull Racing.

Alonso said that the team has learned from the errors discovered at the Maranello factory, particularly the windtunnel issues. He also said that with each race, they learned more about the new Pirelli tires and their performance.

He added that the team could now plan better strategies and its approach to races could become less conservative when it comes to qualifying and starts. He said that what they’ve learned were crucial steps to get ahead.
