MTM works with DIRKS to launch VW Amarok V8 DESERT edition

MTM has partnered with the DIRKS group to release the Volkswagen Amarok V8 DESERT edition. The launch of this double-cab pick-up comes at the heels of the cruising-oriented STREET model and is powered by the TDi 4.2-litre V8 engine the delivers a maximum power of 410 hp (302 kW) and peak torque of 930 Nm with just around 2,000 rpm to 3,000 rpm. With these figures, it is clear that even the desert itself would tremble at the prospect of facing the V8 Passion DESERT.

Maximum speed, subject to the type of the tire, can go as high as 240 km/h with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in merely 6 seconds. With this performance, it was necessary to upgrade the brakes with the one on the front axle measuring 405mm x 36mm while the rear axle has 356 x 22mm. It carries the BBS 10 x 20” rims with the Cooper off-road tyres sized 305/50 ZR 20. This makes the V8 DESERT appear to be ready for anything, even the wilderness.

Meanwhile the Volkswagen Amarok will be introduced under three different equipment lines. The first is of course the Amarok which relies mainly on having pieces that are tough yet purely mechanical. One can expect therefore that operations like window lifts, mirror adjustment, and door locking mechanisms, are all manually done. For this particular line, the mirrors and door handles are unpainted.

MTM presents the Audi S8 Talladega, with 760 hp and 945 Nm of torque

If you want to stand out from the crowd, then the Audi S8 Talladega is the perfect vehicle. Designed by MTM, the S8 Talladega celebrates company’s 25th anniversary and as a result, only 25 units will be built. Each unit will be powered the same 4.0-liter V8 engine found on the standard vehicle, which was boosted from 520 hp (382 kW) and 650 Nm of torque to a staggering 760 hp (559 kW) and 945 Nm of torque.

MTM also modified the gearbox software in order to set the shifting points at 7000 rpm and according to the company, the S8 Talladega is capable to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.48 seconds, to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 10.51 seconds, while top speed is 325 km/h or 201 mph.

MTM says that the vehicle can be even faster but the road-legal tyres limit the top speed. The tuning company says that the carbon and ceramic brakes on the front and rear axle can safely stop the S8 even at higher speeds.

2014 Audi RS Q3 gets 410 hp from MTM, a 76,650 euros price tag

The Audi RS Q3 is already an extreme crossover, but the tuning companies believe something else. After we saw the ABT Audi RS Q3, it’s time to take a look at the tuning programme from MTM. For those who don’t know, the standard RS Q3 is powered by a 2.5-liter TFSI five-cylinder engine that generates 310 hp and 420 Nm of torque.

As a result, the RS Q3 is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.5 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h or 155 mph.

The German tuner decided that this isn’t enough and thanks to the M-Cantronic module (3,357 Euro) and a new exhaust system integrated in the carbon fiber rear air diffuser (4,699 euros), the total output of the engine was boosted to an impressive 410 hp and 570 Nm of torque.

MTM upgrades the 2014 VW Golf 7 R 4Motion

If you are not satisfied by the performances of the 300 hp VW Golf R 4Motion, MTM has just unveiled the solution for you. Just like on the other cars from the German carmaker, MTM worked its magic and thanks to an M-Cantronic module installed in 90 minutes, the power of the 2.0-liter TFSI engine was boosted to 360 hp and 450 Nm of torque.

The price of the MTM M-Cantronic module is around 2,055 euros. Due to the power increase, MTM also installed 380x34 mm eight-piston brakes on the front, which are priced at 5,115 euros, with fitting costing another 367 euros. In addition, 19-inch MTM Nardo wheel wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 (235/35 ZR 19) tyres were also fitted to the Golf R.

Thanks to the upgrades, the MTM Golf 7 R zooms from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h or 155 mph. The vehicle uses the standard seven-speed DSG gearbox.

Volkswagen is currently offering the Amarok pickup truck with a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine but what if it would get a bigger engine. Apparently, this already happen and MTM, the well-known tuning company specialized in vehicles built by the VW Group, is the first tuner to do it.

As a result, the VW Amarok received a more powerful 4.2-liter V8 TDI engine that generates 410 hp (306 kW) and an incredible 930 Nm of torque or 686 lb-ft. With the new V8 TDI engine the Amarok zooms from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6 seconds and has a top speed of 222 km/h or 138 mph. In order to offer these performances, the rear axle had to say goodbye to leaf springs.

Moreover, a Panhard rod combined with air springs now ensures rock solid axle guidance. In order to stop in time, the new Amarok received disc brakes on the rear axle as well. On the front, we find new MTM brakes (405 x 36 mm).

The Audi RS 6 developed by the Audi branch Quattro GmbH in Neckarsulm, based on numbers, is the most powerful variant of the A6. But the car is receiving a sweeping increase in power courtesy of car tuner MTM. The tuned Audi RS 6, now dubbed as MTM RS 6 R, could no longer be called or described as just a family car as it could spew out power comparable to those of super cars. 

MTM RS 6 R could now provide 759 hp of output and 912 Nm of torque, allowing it to reach a top speed of 348 km/h. This output is complemented by a stainless steel exhaust system with race catalyst and features adjustable valves on two pipes, creating the perfect sound for such a powerful car.

For an ideal stop, Audi’s homemade ceramic braking system with 420mm discs don the MTM RS 6 R, which also features RS5 9x20 ET29 wheel rims wrapped in 275/35R20 tyres. Most of all, the MTM RS 6 R features a carbon front lip and a rear diffuser. With regards to its exterior looks, the MTM RS 6 R managed to personify a great family car by wrapping itself in matt blue metallic PWF.

For the Geneva Motor Show, MTM brought two custom rides – a biturbo Audi R8 V10 as well as an extreme version of the TT RS. The Audi R8 V10 has an output of 777 hp and 888 Nm (655 lb-ft) of torque. Meanwhile, the Audi TT delivers 472 hp and a peak torque of 600 Nm (442.5 lb-ft).

The TT can go from zero to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds and its top speed is 312 km/h or 194 mph. Its braking system uses 380x34 mm discs and eight-piston calipers. The car features MTM 20-inch rims that are covered in high-performance tires.

With just a look, the quality of the Audi R8 is quite clear. It has a low and wide appearance which is strongly highlighted with the rear end which looks like a muscle flexing, the same one on a sprinter ready to leave the starting line. Similar to most race cars, the engine of the R8 has been placed at the back of its cockpit which determines its characteristic proportions. An outstanding example of this particular design is the Audi Union Type C Grand Prix car, which is one of the antecedents of the R8.

The thriving tuner mtm Motoren-Technik-Mayer presents the MTM Scirocco R with its uniquely developed tuning parts just in time for the Essen Motor Show. The program for the VW Scirocco includes a performance improvement of up to 272 hp, a MTM Clubsport running gear, a 4-pipe exhaust system with rear skirt add-on, a 8-piston MTM Brembo brake and also limited, sportive ”bimoto“ rims.

In the place of a standard €3,479 plus an additional €828 for fitting costs, it is currently ONLY €2,990 plus the same €828 for fitting. The best interface of the MTM motor electronics as well as the MTM middle- and end muffler, the MTM front muffler as well as the pre-tube with a metal catalytic converter.

The uniquely manufacture MTM exhaust system for the VW Scirocco is offered starting from €2,255. An improvement in performance of up to 272 hp at 6,080 rpm can be attained for the Scirocco. A range of 245, 250, or 272 hp performance improvements are currently available.

The tuning specialist MTM has come up with an upgrade for the Bentley Continental GT that significantly improves on the original. The MTM Birkin package has boosted power to 650hp, a 90hp increase, from the large V12 powerplant, and top torque has consequently been raised to 587lb-ft.

These performance numbers are enough to bring the MTM Birkin Edition Continental GT to 62mph (100km/h) from standstill in only 4.9 seconds and on to 124mph (200km/h) in 15.9, a full three seconds faster than the factory model.

With 205mph (331km/h) maximum speed, which has never been rivalled since it recorded it three years ago, the tuner claims the title of the fastest Bentley in the world.

So, basically, the tuning specialist revised the powerplant, exhaust system, suspensions and brakes and fitted a new body kit with 9-spoke Bimoto high-performance alloys so that the car will look more aggressive and sporty.

With the help of some ECU tweaking and an additional air filter, MTM boosted the performance of the engine of this Golf VI GTI from 210 hp to an impressive 270 hp and 400 Nm of torque.

Of course, this is not all! Due to the big amount of power, the German tuner installed a new set of matt black 19-inch MTM Bimoto light alloy wheels wrapped in 235/35 19 size Continental XL Sportcont tyres in order to improve the handling but also to provide better stability when the top speed limited electronically to 265 km/h is achieved. Behind the 19-inch wheels a new Brembo braking system was installed with 380mm discs and 8-piston calipers.

The engine of Volkswagen’s Golf GTI has been tweaked to boost its performance, increasing the power output from 210 hp to 270 hp plus a peak torque of 400 Nm. MTM modified the ECU and put in an extra air filter.

MTM has created its own versions of the Volkswagen Golf VI GTI and GTD models. MTM, which is based in Wettstetten, Germany, has had a wonderful time tinkering with the GTI. MTM was able to take the GTI up to 310 hp (228 kW) with some ECU revisions and its own MTM turbocharger. There are three other ECU-tuning packages available, which start with an upgrade to only 270 hp.

The 310 hp GTI by MTM comes with 410 Nm of torque, a top speed of 270 km/h (168 mph) and a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 5.7 seconds. On the other hand, the VW Golf GTD gets a power boost up to 205 hp (151 kW) and 380 Nm of torque. That brings its 0 to 100 km/h time down to 7.1 seconds from the standard model's 7.8 seconds.

MTM also offers for the Golf GTI a set of 19-inch BIMOTO 9-spoke wheels, MTM brake system (380 mm discs), MTM's quad-exhaust system, and its in-house suspension kit that can lower the front of the GTI 30 mm.

German tuning firm Motoren Technik Mayer (MTM) took an Audi R8, dressed it up, and supercharged its engine. MTM's 420 hp V8 version got rid of the Quattro four wheel drive system, putting the rear axle responsible for the increased power. MTM supercharged the 4.2 liter V8 unit to deliver 560 hp at 7,750 rpm and 580 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.

Power is sent via a bespoke rear wheel drive system that features a limited slip differential. The tuning specialists at MTM said that this is the only rear wheel drive street legal Audi. They also said that the project gets its inspiration from the DTM and GT Audi racing cars.

The MTM Audi R8 GT3-2 can get to 100kph in 3.9 seconds and it can hit a top speed of 317 km/h (197 mph). The vehicle has a threatening sound due to the use of a free-flow exhaust system.

MTM had given the engines of the 2010 Audi S4 Avant and Audi S5 Cabrio the special treatment. The engine expert based in Wettstetten, Germany, was able to give the power a considerable boost by installing its approved control device M-Cantronic.

These two cars, which are both powered by the 3.0 TFSI engine, became powerful sports cars with an impressive power reserve. With this power boost, the MTM S4 became a real contender to be the successor of the Audi RS4. In fact, the V8 of the existing RS4 back in 2009 had only a 10 bhp advantage over the MTM S4.

Aside from the engine control device M-Cantronic, MTM also gave the series production car S4 a set of 4 rear pipes silencers with throttle valves. The result was an impressive 430 bhp (317 kW), 515 Nm of torque, and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 4.6 seconds with the 6 speeds manual gearbox.
