At the 2014 Tokyo Auto Salon, Mugen a.k.a. Honda’s tuning division revealed its customized version of the Vezel. The new vehicle was unveiled as a concept but we do hope that this is not the final version as it really… really needs a redesign! As you can see from the photos, the new Honda Vezel comes with a new body kit consisting of a redesigned front bumper, a new front grille, enlarged front and rear fenders which make the vehicle look weird, new side sills, a rear roof spoiler and a new rear bumper with integrated dual exhaust system and air diffuser.
The suspension was also upgraded as well as the braking system. The exterior design is completed by the new 20-inch alloy wheels. Mugen also upgraded the interior but we don’t have any photos in order to show you the new design.
In the standard form, the Honda Vezel is powered by a 1.5-liter direct-injected engine and for those who want even more, we are sure that Mugen will prepare something. The model you see in the photos is actually the hybrid version of the Vezel, which is powered by the same 1.5-liter engine but also by a high-output electric motor. The Honda RR Edition, which is based on the MUGEN CR-Z concept, made quite an impression at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It surprised the visitors since it wasn’t divulged that Honda was working on a prototype for a model that’s built for racing, dubbed the MUGEN CR-Z Concept RR.
Honda CR-Z MUGEN RR Concept attached the “RR” logo to its name, which stands for MUGEN racing spirit. Honda wants this car to be perceived as being drastically different from CR-Z.
MUGEN seeks to make the most of the supercharger and IMA system. MUGEN has been able to attain flat power and torque curves throughout the rpm range to enhance drivability and to improve fuel efficiency further. Weight was also reduced to enhance handling and acceleration performance. The other modifications include the use of carbon composites for the bonnet and doors, the elimination of the rear seats, and the shift to full bucket seats.Read the entire article Mugen Honda CR-Z RR Concept
Carlex Design isn't a beginner with regards to tuning the Mercedes-Benz X-Class. In fact, it has even created a version with Maybach-like appearance and features. It has also created Off-Road-focused and Urban-tailored versions. Now, Carlex Design seems to be not contented with how far it has gone with the X-Class and is now presenting a new concept design for the luxury SUV from Mercedes.
Indeed, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class represents the luxury side of pickup trucks. While offering a drive that is comparable to a sports utility vehicle, the X-Class also delivers a smooth, comfortable ride that is expected of luxurious vehicles. Furthermore, it is laden with features usually found in premium cars. But at Carlex Design, the X-Class can be turned into luxurious 6x6 beast off the road. This can be well seen on the new X-Class Exy 6x6 Concept by Carlex Design.
The X-Class Exy 6x6 Concept is essentially the X-Class evolved into a whole new luxurious beast. It is much different from Carlex Design’s previous re-imaginations of Mercedes’ luxury pickup. The concept pickup has six wheels – two wheels more than a standard X-Class and previous Carlex Design X-Class creations. This also meant an extra axle on the rear section of this X-Class 6x6. The addition of two wheels naturally resulted to an extended bed, allowing this conversion of the X-Class to load and carry a greater volume of cargo.Read the entire article Carlex Design transforms the Mercedes-Benz X-Class into the beastly Exy 6x6 Concept
Imagining the future of automotive luxury more than three decades from now seems to be a daunting task. It would be hard for a typical person imagine such future without having the sense of vision and an eye for design. But for students at the Royal College of Arts in London, imagining how automotive luxury would look like in the future is their true calling.
In a dynamic collaboration, Bentley and Royal College of Arts (RCA) sought how the automotive luxury could be defined in 2050, or more than 30 years from now. The collaboration asked student at the world renowned RCA to imagine a truly luxurious Grand Touring experience for the future, by employing elements of physical materiality, technology and craftsmanship – all of which refuse to die even this era of virtual and digital world.
Interestingly, the current Design Director at Bentley was a graduate at the RCA. Stefan Sielaff, an alumnus of the RCA’s renowned Automotive Design program, remarked that the collaboration challenged millennial students for their vision of the automotive future, as laden with luxury.Read the entire article Royal College of Arts students imagine British luxury in 2050 for Bentley
Just last month, Porsche unveiled the new 935 during the “Rennsport Reunion” motorsport event at Laguna Seca Raceway in California. Featuring a body evoking the legendary Porsche 935/78, the 935 is definitely a race car you would want to drive in the track. Nonetheless, it isn't car you can just drive on the road from your garage to the track. After all, the 935 is a track-only race car and can’t be driven legally on the road.
The problem of getting a track-only race car from a garage to the circuit without circumventing any laws or local ordinances has already been solved a long time ago. To solve such a logistic issue, teams or carmakers have been using transporters, which can be large enough to accommodate more than one race car.
Such a situation is the main theme of one of the latest creative visual projects of Igor Shikitov, an automotive designer from Moscow, Russia. Posted at the Behance social creative site on October 3, 2018, Shikitov’s work was aptly titled “Volkswagen Renntransporter.” After all Porsche is now part of the Volkswagen Group.Read the entire article Volkswagen Renntransporter is home on the wheels for your Porsche 935

Astronomers at ESA have been mapping the stars through the Gaia satellite. In fact, this project has already resulted to the observation of more than a billion stars. However, light pollution – especially from urban – makes the stars less visible. Thus, astronomers have been conducted follow-up observations from remote, hard-to-reach locations, also called as so-called "dark sky" places. In doing so, ESA’s astronomers have to bring them powerful telescopes, which have to transported safely and easily.
Embodying the Nissan Intelligent Mobility, the Nissan Navara Dark Sky Concept is appropriately suited to support this project. It is a solution to the enigma of how to transport telescopes for dark sky observations of the universe. It is properly equipped to tow on a bespoke off-road trailer the ultrahigh-power, observatory-class PlaneWave telescope, which can deliver detailed views of distant galaxies and nebulae.Read the entire article Nissan Navara Dark Sky Concept is a powerful astronomy labs on wheels

For the past years, Mercedes-Benz has been unveiling spectacular concepts or visions. There were the AMG Vision GT and the Concept IAA, as well as the Vision Maybach 6 and the Vision Maybach 6 Cabriolet. Its latest concept, unveiled at the Monterey Car Week, is likewise nothing short of stunning while showing off the carmaker’s glorious past. This concept is the new Mercedes-Benz Vision EQ Silver Arrow.
Just by looking at this concept, people can’t help but associate with Mercedes’ Grand Prix racing cars in the 1930s. During this period, Mercedes cars were called Silver Arrows. Actually, the new Vision EQ Silver Arrow is inspired by and pays tribute to the 1937 Mercedes W125 Grand Prix racing car. Driven by the legendary Rudolf Caracciola, the W125 set a new speed record on public roads in 1937 after averaging 432.7 km/h (268.8 mph) on the A5 autobahn between Frankfurt and Darmstadt. This record sat untouched for around 80 years, until it was broken in November 2017.
Just like the 1937 W125, the Vision EQ Silver Arrow features a long and extended front section and short front overhang. The round cockpit glazing of the Vision EQ Silver Arrow -- modeled on a drop of water in terms of outline and cross-section – was also inspired by the W125. After the German automaker unveiled a new 911 Speedster Concept on Friday, we are starting to think that Porsche’s long line of Speedster models could expand again. Just like the newest 911, the Speedster concept uses a familiar formula by chopping the windshield and position it at a more aggressive angle, get rid of the vestigial rear seats and add a new double bubble cover to replace the 911’s vestigial rear seats.
All this can be found in the Speedster Concept, with the latter item made of carbon fiber. Speedsters also often get rid of the electric roof. Porsche did not provide us with any photos of the lightweight cover on the Speedster Concept, but it did confirm that the unit will provide some weather protection.
Under the beltline, Porsche used the body of a 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet. But instead of using the 911’s traditional mirrors, we instead used a set of chromed, Talbot style racing mirrors, which are also probably the coolest mirrors on this planet. The rest of the body is then dressed in GT Silver and White paint, just like that of Porsche’s racers of yesteryear. On both sides, there is a huge number 70 in a white circle, which gives tribute to the automaker’s seventieth anniversary, below that, of course is the Porsche lettering. The automaker also modified the headlights with a cover that’s reminiscent of old racing headlights.Read the entire article 2018 Porsche 911 Speedster Concept is the coolest roofless model
