Thought you can never make that old car look and perform as good as new again? Well, that won’t be the case soon enough because at last, you can now restore your aging, three-decade-old Nissan Skyline.
NISMO, Nissan’s performance division has just announced that it will start producing some new replacement parts for the R32 GT-R as part of the company’s heritage program. At least 80 original R32 Skyline GT-R replacement parts will be available and will go on sale beginning December 1st. The program as we know is a joint initiative between Nissan, Autech Japan, Nissan Motor Sports and several other original parts supplier.
The full catalogue was officially revealed on the weekend at the Fuji Speedway during the Nismo Festival which happens every year. According to Nissan, it nearly has everything from brand new emblem replacements all the way to new hoses and spanking new bumpers. It can be recalled that Mazda has also made a similar announcement earlier this year after it said it will be restoring the first generation of Miatas.Read the entire article Reignite your passion for Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R with Nismo’s heritage spare parts program
The Nissan GT-R has been very successful in U.S. soil. Not only has it become more powerful and more capable, but it has also become more expensive every year that it has been in the market. But before you head out to buy a car, see if this good news for you will help you make up your mind.
Nissan has introduced the new entry-level GT-R under the name “Pure” and it costs just under $100,000.
The 2018 Nissan GT-R Pure model starts at $99,990 (or $101,685 after all the fees). It may still sound pricey, but that is already a big difference compared to the most affordable GT-R from last year. In fact, it is also considerably cheaper than the $111,685 price of last year’s Premium trim model. Incidentally, the 2018 Premium model costs a little more at $112,185.Read the entire article 2018 Nissan GT-R offers entry-level Pure version that costs $10K lower than last year’s base trim
Nissan’s GT-R Nismo is one of the most expensive cars the Japanese automaker has made in its history, the 200 mile-per-hour supercar is not like any other Nissan car that everybody can get their hands on. However, Lego has fulfilled our dreams to own one to a certain extent, by designing a small-scale version of the Nismo supercar. The nice thing about this is that you do not have to know how to drive to own one.
It was Firas Abu-Jaber, an expert brick builder, who came up with the Lego version of the GT-R Nismo. The reason why he built this was because it is a favourite car of his, so he took time and studied the supercar, and went into proper detail - from the front fascia, wheels, the rear, and even under the hood, to start his project. What he built was so detailed that he even replicated the GT-R’s engine.
As usual, Firas made use of the red Technic gear pieces to add details like the tail lights according to The Brothers Brick website. As you open the hood, the doors, and the roof, you will find some pretty cool detailing inside like a full on interior. This brick model might be of interest to you, but you won’t be able to get this from your local Lego store as it is not an official kit.Read the entire article Expert Lego builder creates small-scale Nissan GT-R Nismo
One might say this GT-R rendering looks as if it came straight out of a post-apocalyptic Hollywood film but to those familiar with the CrossOut game, this concept will surely make it to the final round.
Drawing its inspiration from the post apocalyptic MMO action game, the design artist renders the GT-R with a completely new body work. To make way for this, the designer has fitted the body with new fenders, chunkier set of wheels, a roof mounted set of ammunitions and exposed engine. As a result, the Nissan GT-R morphed into an angry, full metal monster armed with battle gear as if ready to take on the enemies.
The Crossout game is based on the aftermath of the apocalypse where adventure-seeking souls find respite after a nerve-wracking work week. Perhaps the irony of playing this game is that it will take you to a place where there’s a different kind of commotion and at the same time, offers more freedom than anyone can have out of the real world.Read the entire article YasidDesign penned a mad machine out of the Nissan GT-R

You can run, but you can’t hide. No action-packed movie would be complete without a police car chasing the villain. But in reality, hot pursuits such as these have been taking place--- not just between a cop and criminal but also by those guilty of over speeding or violating certain traffic rules.
Dubbed as “Copzilla” (with a code name Police Pursuit No.23), this Nissan GT-R packs an incredible 565hp (421kW) and 469 lb-ft (635Nm) powerful torque. It’s the same 3.8-liter biturbo V6 stock engine like any Nissan GT-R but it’s been added with coil overs and a new set of 22-inch spiked wheels. Very fitting to the “Copzilla’s” highly menacing police livery!Read the entire article Nissan GT-R Police Pursuit 23 will make your Copzilla fantasies come alive at the NYIAS
The newest member of the GT-R family is here! Nissan will be premiering the GT-R Track Edition at the 2017 New York Auto Show that is scheduled to take place next month. The Track Edition is positioned between the base Touring version and the range topper Nismo.
For the Track Edition, Nissan is asking for $18,000 more than its entry level model which is currently priced at $109,990 MSRP. But they didn’t give it that rate just because they want to. Customers will be delighted because the third member of the GT-R family will be acquiring several features of the Nismo. Some of which are the 20-inch forged aluminum wheels, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, Nismo rear fenders, and a suspension setup like that of the range topper.
The 2017 model will be having the same engine specifications as the Touring model - a biturbo 3.8 liter V6. These provide 565 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque, with a six-speed dual clutch gearbox.Read the entire article 2017 Nissan GT-R Track Edition has price tag of $127,990, order books will open late summer
You would think you know the result of this battle but the thing is, this is not your typical Nissan SUV. It is fitted with a turbocharged engine, like the one inside the GT-R. Rather than the usual 285 hp (212 kW), this engine is capable of 1,900 hp (1,416 kW). As such, it resulted in a maximum speed of 205 mph (329 km/h).
You probably know where we are going with this so it won’t be surprising then to know that when the race was done on the streets of Dubai, the Nissan Patrol dominated and left the Porsche 918 far behind. No wonder the internet is now calling it as the “918 Killer.”Read the entire article Nissan Patrol with GT-R engine outperforms Porsche 918 Spyder in Dubai [w/video]
Nissan has finally unveiled its racer for the upcoming 2017 season of the Japanese Super GT Series – the 2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT500. Apparently, Nissan has made a number of design changes on its Super GT racer, seeking to repeat its feat in 2014 and 2015 when it won the championship. While Nissan failed to capture its third championship this year, it developed and designed the 2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT500 to enable it to recapture the crown while still abiding by the rules and regulations of the Japanese Super GT series.
The Japanese Super GT racing series has always been enjoyable and fun to watch not just because of speed and dynamics involved, but also because this competition features some of the hottest looking cars in the planet. Looking forward, the 2017 season of the Japanese Super GT is really something to look forward to because of some changes in the aero rules.
Apparently, the race cars competing in the Super GT have become too fast and too stable, and that has rendered the racing action seemingly boring. So, organizers decided to make the action more thrilling and more enjoyable -- by tweaking the regulations to compel manufacturers to reduce the downforce on their GT500 cars by 25 percent, thereby theoretically reducing cornering speeds. While this obliged carmakers to revise the looks of their racers, the apparent visual changes have resulted to better- and hotter-looking race vehicles.Read the entire article 2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT500 unveiled for upcoming Japanese Super GT Series
Nissan GT-R has been a favorite car among drivers who take their rides to the drag scene. Around the world, GT-R drivers from around the world try to outdo each other’s rigs, especially when it comes to the quarter-mile record. After all, the quarter mile is considered as the best measure for drag performance, taking in three main factors that could greatly influence the final result – reaction time, engine power and traction.
The quarter mile world record used to belong to the Nissan GT-R of AMS Alpha Omega, completing the length in just 7.7 seconds at 186 mph (300 km/h). In January, it was broken by Ekanno Racing’s Bahrain-built Nissan GT-R, which managed to complete the quarter mile in 7.44 seconds with a top speed of 209 mph (336 km/h). That was pretty quick, considering that a typical Nissan GT-R was tested to have completed the quarter mile in 11.6 seconds 120.0 mph (193.1 km/h). But that was not the end for Ekanno Racing’s Godzilla.
Built to deliver the needed performance by T1 Race Development, Ekanno Racing’s Nissan GT-R has been continuously improved, particularly with regards to its engine. As a matter of fact, the continuous enhancement of this Godzilla has allowed it to break the quarterly mile world record anew just recently. This Nissan GT-R shaved time off its previous quarter mile time by more than half of a second to 7.168 seconds, achieving a top speed of 209 mph (336 km/h) in the process.Read the entire article Ekanno Racing Nissan GT-R sets new quarter mile record [w/video]

This 25-year old blond is well-known in certain circles for her passion when it comes to fast cars. The 2017 Nissan GT-R in particular was released to the European market in September of this year. This model is powered by the twin-turbo 3.8-liter engine with an output of 562 hp (570 PS) and peak torque of 470 lb.-ft. (637 Nm). What is unique about this engine is that it was handcrafted from beginning to end by a single Takumi, which is Japanese for master craftsman. What sets this new GT-R apart from the rest is that it comes equipped with the 20-inch forged aluminum NISMO Racing Black wheels fitted with special tires and also comes with a wider front bumper. In addition, each of the special GT-R will have the distinct carbon fiber 'Track Edition' badge placed on the dashboard. Under the body, one can see the Bilstein Damptronic bespoke suspension which has lightweight anti-roll bars and a configuration tuned for racing.
In terms of the interior, the actual specifications will differ depending on the market. But models to be released in Germany will have as standard Recaro seats that are carbon-backed with a carbon spoiler in the rear as option. For both the France and UK markets meanwhile, the carbon spoiler is fitted as standard as well as the red and black Recaro seats. Available as an option are the carbon-backed seats and the carbon boot lid.Read the entire article Adult film star Mareike Fox drives a tuned Nissan GT-R by Prior Design [w/video]
In 2007, when Nissan first introduced the R35 Nissan GT-R at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show, the car carried with intense power and a price tag of $78,000. Up to this day, such a price tag would leave car enthusiasts and collectors at a loss. However, for the power and perks that this car brings along, many will agree that its price tag is worth it.
Just recently, Nissan introduced to the world the newest successor of the Godzilla bloodline and its flagship GT-R, the 2017 GT-R Nismo. Just like its predecessors and the version before it, this year’s GT-R Nismo will carry with it a price tag for the gods.
The 2017 GT-R Nismo comes with a starting price of $174,990, which is a $25,000 increase from the 2016 GT-R Nismo’s price tag. Albeit its price tag, Nissan assures that it will still be an attractive proposition because the GT-R Nismo comes with a couple of updates which will entice the customers to avail one. And earlier this year, Nissan gave the standard GT-R updates and some standard facelifts. And guess what? The same updates will also be given to the new GT-R Nismo. Basically, the GT-R Nismo will receive a modern day facelift, a modernization that has been overdue for Nissan’s performance flagship.Read the entire article 2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo pricing announced! The Nissan Skyline GT-R is a high-performance version of the Skyline Sedan that was produced between 1969 and 1974 and also between 1989 and 2002. One of the most iconic Nissan vehicles, the Skyline GT-R was successful both on and off the race track. It was first exported into the Australian market and was winning various Australian events such as the 1990 Australian Touring Car Championship (knocking over the then defending champion Ford Sierra Cosworth) and the 1991 and 1992 Bathurst Classic.
A track monster straight from Japan, the Australian press began to fondly call the GT-R “Godzilla”. From 1989 to 1993, Godzilla won 29 races from 29 starts and every series title for that period. Moreover, it has collected 50 championships from 50 starts in the N1 Super Taikyu series from 1991 up to 1997, proving that it is worthy of its name.
Although the three generations of Skyline GT-R (the R32, R33 and R34) became a phenomenal hit, its lineage had to end. It had already exhausted all possible wow factors from 1989 until 2002. They were basically made of the same base car “built on the same platform” and came with the same technology and all-wheel drive system.Read the entire article Upgraded, more polished 2017 Nissan GT-R is priced at $111,585
The Nürburgring race course in Germany is famous for being one of the most challenging, if not the longest, tracks around the world. It is here where the 2017 Nissan GT-R NISMO made its official debut, the same place where the performance of the Nissan GT-R was developed, tuned, and honed.
According to Hiroshi Tamura, the GT-R NISMO puts high value on the ”R” in its name as it provides the link to racing, making it home on any racing circuit. It is also able to deliver what can be expressed as the higher of excitement levels and exhilaration for its driver.
Hiroshi Tamura is Chief Product Specialist for the GT-R and the GT-R NISMO. Chief Tamura added that using the 2017 GT-R as the initial point, the GT-R NISMO is now a well-balanced machine and delivers increased performance plus an increased overall premium feel.Read the entire article 2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo debuts at Nurburgring
The fastest drift, as Guinness World Records, has recently been set by a specially tuned 2016 Nissan GT-R NISMO. This new record was set by Japanese drift champion and the D1 Grand Prix series winner Masato Kawabata, drifting at a max speed of 304.96 km/hr at Fujairah International Airport in the UAE.
Kawabata broke the previous record set by Jakub Przygoński of Poland. It should be noted that the specially tuned 2016 Nissan GT-R NISMO used for the record attempt was configured by GReddy Trust, with extensive testing done at the Fuji Speedway facility in Japan.
Moreover, Kawabata was personally involved in the test. GReddy Trust prepped the car for optimal agility and stability as well as superior handling. Nissan particularly chose the Fujairah International Airport for the attempt since its 3km airstrip was long enough to host the event.Read the entire article 2016 Nissan GT-R NISMO sets Guinness World Records title for fastest drift [w/video]
Nissan has unmasked the new MY2017 Nissan GT-R at the 2016 New York International Auto Show, representing the most noteworthy revision of the Japanese carmaker’s flagship super sports car since its launch in 2007.
Thanks to Active Noise Cancellation technology and new sound absorption materials – like an acoustic glass windshield -- the new GT-R offers a smoother ride than its predecessor.
The sophistication found on the exterior of the new GT-R is continued particularly with the availability of new colors, like the “Blaze Metallic” orange color that is applied using a special four-stage process.Read the entire article Wraps on 2017 Nissan GT-R Facelift taken off at 2016 New York Auto Show
At the upcoming SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nissan is planning to unveil a collection of optional parts exclusive to the Nissan GT-R NISMO (R35) in the United States. This bundle, dubbed as the "NISMO N Attack Package," includes dedicated parts developed through Nissan’s time attack project at Nürburgring in Germany.
In that project, the Nissan GT-R NISMO was able to post the fastest time for a volume production vehicle at Nürburgring at 7 minutes 8.679 seconds. These optional parts include aerodynamics for superior down-force, full bucket seats for maintaining the optimal driving position, and a suspension system that can bear the brunt force coming from the road surface.
Nismo employed the latest Computational Fluid Dynamic simulation techniques to analyze airflow on the Nissan GT-R NISMO, allowing it to successfully come up with an aero package that does not only enhance road-holding and reduce the bad impact of drag, but it also grants the vehicle a more intimidating and muscular look.Read the entire article Nissan to unveil GT-R NISMO N Attack Package at 2015 SEMA show
Nissan will make an explosive appearance at this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. The carmaker is set to debut a trio of 2016 Nissan TITAN XD units and the 2016 GT-R NISMO N-Attack Package for the GT-R Nismo.
The three Titan XD 2016 models include a bespoke model that was designed by Nissan in cooperation with SEMA itself. The collaboration resulted from a “measuring session” that SEMA and Nissan undertook early this year, and involved a PRO-4X model that was later on modified by SEMA.
Nissan had the truck conveyed to SEMA’s main base in Diamond Bar, California in September, and it was since customized extensively by the Association. Unlike the other two models, this bespoke model will take a place in the show’s Grand Lobby.Read the entire article Nissan set to debut three bespoke TITAN XD models, GT-R NISMO N-Attack Package at 2015 SEMA Show
