How would you like to see “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” up close? Well, Nissan created a limited edition Rogue for this year’s much awaited film. The 2017 Nissan Rogue mid-size crossover has been redesigned with everything “Star Wars”. Emblems of the “Galactic Empire” and “Rebel Alliance” are on the cup holders and also along the D-Pillars.
The front doors have “Rogue One” badges on them while the “Star Wars” logo can be found at the rear bumper. In short, all these seem to pertain to one famous line “Don’t underestimate the Force”. This isn’t the only time when Nissan has tied up for a movie franchise. About four years ago, the automobile brand also produced a limited edition vehicle for a Batman trilogy aptly called “Juke Nismo Dark Knight Rises”.
In fact, they had been doing this for almost a decade already. The American action film “Die Hard” also had its special edition 2007 Nissan Navarra. Now, Nissan explores the “the galaxy far, far away” with the Rogue Star Wars Limited Edition package.Read the entire article Nissan unveils Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition at 2016 LA Auto Show
According to the German premium carmaker, the production version of the Audi e-tron GT concept is set to arrive in around two years. This means that could expect the third member of the e-tron family by late 2020, with initial deliveries set in early 2021. It follows the Audi e-tron SUV as well as the Audi e‑tron Sportback scheduled for 2019.
As designed, the Audi e-tron GT concept features the proportions of a classic Gran Turismo – flat and wide with a long wheelbase – as reflected on its dimensions of 4.96 meters (16.3 ft.) in length, 1.96 meters (6.4 ft.) in width and 1.38 meters (4.5 ft.) in height. Its overall shape is marked by a gently sloping roofline extending into the rear, a cabin tapering strongly toward the rear, well-sculpted wheel arches and shoulders as well as a flat floor that is unusual for an EV. The e-tron GT concept is wrapped in a new exterior color kinetic dust, which is a warm, dark color similar to titanium.
The Audi e-tron GT concept boasts of new arrow-shaped front section marked by the hallmark Audi Singleframe with a more horizontal architecture -- the upper half featuring a cover in body color. The grille is flanked by matrix LED headlights with laser high beam as well as animated function. The large front air inlets helps in effective cooling of the assemblies, battery and brakes while the hood echoes Audi’s Aicon and PB18 e-tron show cars.Read the entire article 2018 LA Auto Show: Audi unveils e-tron GT concept four-door coupe with a low floor
German sports car maker Porsche is making its presence the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show felt further by unveiling to the global public its new Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport. If you’re familiar with the street-legal yet track-focused outgoing 991-generation of the 911 GT2 RS, then the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport is basically its racing version.
As racing version, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport can only be driven on the tracks, which means that this race car is the carmaker’s newest attempt to lure in racing enthusiasts. The 911 GT2 RS Clubsport can be raced at clubsport-style events, including those organized by Porsche Club of America, as well as at a possible future racing series organized by SRO.
The Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport shouldn’t be mistaken for the no-cost optional Club Sport package offered for the 911 GT2 RS in Europe, but not in the United States. There are a number of differences, but we would focus only on the Clubsport model, not the package.Read the entire article 2018 LA Auto Show: Porsche unveils track-only 911 GT2 RS Clubsport race version
The last time the Lincoln Aviator premium SUV made it to the streets was more than a decade ago. It was only produced for three years, and the 2005 model year was the last version of the Aviator produced. Lincoln is once again ready to demonstrate that its premium SUV offering isn't just for luxurious utility, but also for power and capability. The design of the all-new Lincoln Aviator is inspired by aviation, as seen on its lines as well as on its wraparound windshield. Moreover, the stature of the front grille and tapering off of the body and tail provide a distinct aerofoil analogy. The Aviator on display at the LA Auto Show is wrapped in Flight Blue exterior color. Its Lincoln’s signature grille dons a high-gloss black appearance as well as chrome accents.Read the entire article 2018 LA Auto Show: 2020 Lincoln Aviator gets rebooted with Grand Aviator hybrid option
More than a month ago since introducing the BMW X7 to the global public, the German premium carmaker has unveiled its flagship SUV to the North American audience at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. This is quite ironic since the BMW X7 is built at the carmaker’s Spartanburg manufacturing site in South Carolina.
There is quite no need to tell all the details about the new BMW X7. Nonetheless, the X7 that will soon arrive in the United States will be available in two guises, powered only by petrol engines. As what BMW has revealed, the X7 SUV will be offered either as the X7 xDrive40i or the X7 xDrive50i. The BMW X7 xDrive40i has a core in the persona of a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six engine. This mill is tuned to deliver 335 hp (250 kW) of max output as well as 330 lb.-ft. (447 Nm). This power is enough for the xDrive40i to accelerate from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 5.8 seconds.
On the other hand, BMW is offering a more powerful version of the X7 SUV, which would be an ideal fit for customers who wanted to squeeze more performance from the flagship. The BMW X7 xDrive50i will be powered by a newly developed twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that can deliver 456 hp (340 kW) of max motive power as well as 479 lb.-ft. (649 Nm) of peak torque. This engine can send the X7 xDrive50i sprinting from nil to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 5.2 seconds, or around 0.6 seconds quicker than the X7 xDrive40i.Read the entire article 2018 LA Auto Show: BMW X7 flagship SUV makes its debut in North America

The 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show is playing host to a number of debuts, especially SUVs. Hyundai won't let itself be left out as the South Korean carmaker unveiled its own SUV flagship at the LA event – the all-new 2020 Hyundai Palisade mid-size SUV. Set to be built at the carmaker’s manufacturing plant in Ulsan, South Korea, the 2020 Hyundai Palisade is scheduled to arrive dealerships across the United States in the summer of 2019.
Hyundai’s new Palisade could be the brand’s answer to the growing demand for larger SUVs. It does offer a seven-seat SUV in the guise of the Hyundai Santa Fe XL. However, the Hyundai Santa Fe XL is basically just a slightly larger version of the Santa Fe five-seat SUV. Some customers might find other similarly sized SUVs from other carmakers as more spacious.
To answer the call, Hyundai create the new Palisade, which it says offers enough room to accommodate eight occupants and their cargo. Furthermore, the Palisade promises to deliver a host of technologies and offer great levels of safety.Read the entire article 2018 LA Auto Show: Hyundai Palisade flagship SUV unveiled
When Toyota released a teaser image of its 2019 Prius sedan, the most obvious scene is that the car is sitting on snow. Driving on such conditions would be more favorable if a car has an all-wheel drive configuration. This led to a speculation that the new Toyota Prius would be getting an AWD version. Now, this isn't a speculation anymore, as Toyota has already confirmed and revealed at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show the arrival of the 2019 Toyota Prius AWD-e.
Toyota’s new AWD-e system is quite different from the typical all-wheel drive configuration. But with the new AWD-e system, the Prius expands its "Let's Go Places" battlecry to "Let's go more places, in more conditions." Of course, the 2019 Prius is still available in its classic front-wheel drive layout.
This is how Toyota's AWD-e system works. Instead of using a center differential, a torque-apportioning device, or a front-to-rear driveshaft, this AWD-e system employs a magnet-less rear motor to power the rear wheels from nil to 6 mph, up to speeds of 43 mph. Since this an automatic on-demand system, it only activates when needed, such as when pulling away from a stop. When the AWD-e system senses that all-wheel-drive performance isn't needed for the driving situation, it won't activate.Read the entire article 2018 LA Auto Show: Toyota expands reach of 2019 Prius with new AWD-e version

This allows the Mazda3 hatchback to convey a powerful yet solid presence. The hatchback is available with a new exclusive color -- Polymetal Gray.
On the other hand, the Mazda3 sedan measures 4,662 mm in length, 1,797 mm in width and 1,445 mm in height. Its design concept focused on being sleek and elegant. Lexus could be saying goodbye to the present generation of its LX luxury sports utility vehicles through a new exclusive model. Set to be unveiled at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show this month is the new 2019 Lexus LX Inspiration Series.
The hard truth with the Lexus LX is that the third generation of the luxury SUV has been in production since the 2008 model year. That makes the third-gen LX a 10-year old model, with latest refresh done around three years ago. Nonetheless, the LX luxury SUV managed to prove that it can be an inspiration for customers seeking a higher-level driving experience. To celebrate that, the 2019 Lexus LX Inspiration Series is bound to be unveiled at the upcoming 2019 LA Auto Show.
In this new guise, 2019 Lexus LX Inspiration Series is wrapped in a stealth Black Onyx exterior finish as complemented elegantly by a black front grille with a dark chrome surround. With the latest Star Wars franchise movie, Solo, coming soon, Japanese automaker Nissan decided to develop an exclusive car that would remind anyone of Han Solo’s iconic ship, the Millennium Falcon.
This all started when Nissan entered a partnership with the Star Wars Franchise some time ago. Since then, Nissan has been fiddling with the Rogue. Remember when the Rogue One movie came out in 2016? What’s cool was the Japanese automaker was quick enough to release a Star Wars inspired version of their Rogue model just as its namesake movie was released. This was how Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition was born. Following that model was the quirky Rogue X Wing Concept, which honestly not everyone was fond of.
This year, Nissan’s latest creation would be the Millennium Falcon-inspired Rogue, which they made just in time for the Solo: A Star Wars Story movie that will make its debut on May 25. The model will even head to the red carpet to join the Hollywood stars. Without a surprise, the same company, Vehicle Effects (which fabricated the other Star Wars inspired Rogues) helped create this one as well.Read the entire article Nissan builds Millennium Falcon-inspired Rogue for world premiere of Han Solo movie
BMW has been pretty busy lately with the launch of several models including the M5, i8 Roadster and X2 as well as the facelifted 2 Series Active Tourer. Aside from those, they will also be joined by other models later this year such as the 8 Series, Z4, X4, and the X7 flagship, which is scheduled to make its debut at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show later this year.
The surprising thing is that we initially thought that the Bavarian automaker would unveil the CLAR-based SUV a little earlier at the Paris Auto Show. Though nothing has been confirmed yet, several reports indicate that the automaker has decided to bring it to the City of Angels instead.
Just so you know, the automaker is actually planning to sell the first-ever X7 to the U.S. and Chinese markets, although they also plan to offer this model in some parts of Europe as well.Read the entire article BMW skips Paris and instead will debut X7 at Los Angeles Auto Show
The next generation of the Jeep Wrangler (JL) is being touted by the brand as having more power, more features and more off-road ability than the previous JK generation. To back up its claims, Jeep laid down the specs and numbers for the 2018 Jeep Wrangler as the off-road specialist is unveiled at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Jeep will be commencing sales of the new 2018 Wrangler in the first quarter of next year. The very capable SUV will be available either as a two-door or four-door model. Customers have three trims to choose from: Sport, Sahara and the most off-road focused Rubicon. There are three top designs offered for new Wrangler: hardtop with a longer “gutter” and lighter removable “Freedom Top” panels; updated convertible top; and the new powered soft top that works like a canvas sunroof.
In terms of power source, three engines are available. One of these is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that offers up to 285 hp (209 kW) of output at 6,400 rpm and up to 260 lb.-ft. The teasing is finally over as Subaru has finally taken the wraps off its largest vehicle. It has recently introduced the final production version of the 2019 Subaru Ascent large SUV – including its specs and capabilities -- at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show. This family-focused SUV offers a great balance between styling and versatility, while offering high levels of technology and safety.
Featuring three rows of seating for up to eight occupants, the new 2019 Subaru Ascent is underpinned by a strengthened and extended version of the Subaru Global Platform. Extensively employing high-strength steel, 2019 Subaru Ascent was built with particular focus on durability and rigidity as well as vibration resistance to provide a quiet interior and outstanding driving experience. To be built in Indiana, the new 2019 Ascent will arrive in early summer 2018 and will be available in four trim lines: base, Premium, Limited and Touring.
The assertive exterior design of the new Ascent is heavily influenced by Subaru’s “Dynamic x Solid” design philosophy. As expected, the new Ascent SUV looks similar to the Ascent SUV Concept unveiled at the 2017 New York Auto Show in April. At the best, the final production model is much like a toned down version of the concept, which is more muscular and more aggressive in nature. As shown, the new Ascent dons the Subaru’s signature hexagonal grille and C-shaped headlights as well as prominent wheel arches -- highlighting the brand’s Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive -- flowing into a horizontal character line. The new Ascent also features flared lower sills, as well as lower side and wheel arch cladding.Read the entire article 2019 Subaru Ascent officially unveiled at LA Auto Show
The new Toyota FT-AC Concept (Future Toyota Adventure Concept) did excite and thrill many when it was unveiled at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show. The third small SUV concept that Toyota unveiled this year was designed for those with adventurous lifestyles but still have to be connected to the online world. Now, it appears that the FT-AC Concept would soon be developed for production with a market launch seen to happen in the next few years.
Jack Hollis, General Manager for Toyota Motor North America, told Motor Authority that for the next few years, the Japanese carmaker is planning to create and introduce a small SUV as inspired by the FT-AC Concept. Presently, Toyota’s crossover and SUV offerings include the C-HR, RAV4, 4Runner, Highlander and Sequoia, as well as the largest of them all, the Land Cruiser. In terms of size, the FT-AC would belong to the same segment as the C-HR, making it sit below the compact RAV4.
At first glance, offering a production version of the FT-AC and the C-HR would mean that Toyota is having two products in the same segment that might cannibalize each other’s sales. But as Hollis put it, the situation in the near future could be the same or similar to the 1990s, with Toyota offering more than one vehicle in each segment if they are distinct enough. This means that the FT-AC production version would be greatly differentiated from the C-HR.Read the entire article Production of Toyota FT-AC Concept will start within two years
Before the beginning of the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, the finalists of the annual 2018 North American Car, Truck and Utility of the Year Awards have been announced by the jurors. When the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 traveled around the world in camouflage before making its official debut in Dubai, we remember seeing convertible versions of it as well, and we anticipated that it would come. But one variant that we did not expect to see was a roofless version of the ZR1.
And Chevrolet surprised us with this at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, finished in the same bold day-glo orange paint as the hardtop model that we saw in Dubai. There is no doubt that the roofless model looks superb (probably even sexier than the coupe version); but apart from that, it is also the most powerful production convertible that wears a Bowtie badge.
Today, we have got a couple of details regarding the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Convertible, such as the price. Having said that, the convertible starts at $123,995, while the coupe costs $119,995. You might think that it is a little too expensive, especially compared to a Z06. But that is because this is the only Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 convertible, at least a front engine ZR1 convertible.Read the entire article 2017 LA Auto Show: 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Convertible [Live Photos]
In a country where sport utility vehicles and crossover are of high demand, keeping things fresh could spell success. Kia Motors America is aware of this, which is why it has just unveiled the refreshed 2019 Kia Sorento SUV at the 2017 Los Angeles Motor Show. The tweaks made were subtle but smarter, making the vehicle more appealing to customers in the United States.
As early as July this year, Kia already revealed the mid-cycle facelift of the Sorento in South Korea. The European facelift followed in September in Frankfurt, Germany. Now, it is the US refresh that got unwrapped, and this time it was in LA.
Still as rugged, refined and capable as before, the 2019 Kia Sorento comes standard as a three-row SUV with seating for seven passengers and is offered in five trim levels: L, LX, EX, SX and SXL. Kia has tweaked both its exterior and interior, but no major design changes were made. For instance, the new Sorento is provided with new front and rear fascias that lend the SUV with a more sophisticated and mature look. Its more detailed grille is now flanked by new headlights (full LED on SX and SXL), while its newly sculpted bumper now dons redesigned ice cube-style fog lamps that employ projection bulbs for EX and SX trims and LED for the SXL trim.Read the entire article Refreshed 2019 Kia Sorento appears at LA Auto Show with minor visual tweaks and more tech
