With the latest Star Wars franchise movie, Solo, coming soon, Japanese automaker Nissan decided to develop an exclusive car that would remind anyone of Han Solo’s iconic ship, the Millennium Falcon.
This all started when Nissan entered a partnership with the Star Wars Franchise some time ago. Since then, Nissan has been fiddling with the Rogue. Remember when the Rogue One movie came out in 2016? What’s cool was the Japanese automaker was quick enough to release a Star Wars inspired version of their Rogue model just as its namesake movie was released. This was how Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition was born. Following that model was the quirky Rogue X Wing Concept, which honestly not everyone was fond of.
This year, Nissan’s latest creation would be the Millennium Falcon-inspired Rogue, which they made just in time for the Solo: A Star Wars Story movie that will make its debut on May 25. The model will even head to the red carpet to join the Hollywood stars. Without a surprise, the same company, Vehicle Effects (which fabricated the other Star Wars inspired Rogues) helped create this one as well.Read the entire article Nissan builds Millennium Falcon-inspired Rogue for world premiere of Han Solo movie
We consider the dogs as man's best friends, and sometimes we even look at these furry animals as family. Starting now, all that we will be raving about is regarding Fidos- sorry cat people, maybe next time. The Nissan fam just revealed that they are dog lovers with their latest invention, the Rogue Dogue Concept.
While we see the dogs as worthwhile companions when it comes to cruising the roads, going to the beach or hiking the mountains, we cannot help but sometimes think of the cons in bringing our furry friends on a ride: saliva and hair sticking everywhere in the car, possibility of urine and poop decorating the interior and so on. But Dennis McCarthy, the car coordinator for the Fast and Furious movies, built a vehicle that directly caters to the puppet's needs sans the nitrous setup as seen in the movies. The concept car conceptualized as a 2017 Nissan Rogue SL with the Platinum Reserve package with quilted leather inserts and tan leather sets.Read the entire article Who Let The Dogs Out? How would you like to see “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” up close? Well, Nissan created a limited edition Rogue for this year’s much awaited film. The 2017 Nissan Rogue mid-size crossover has been redesigned with everything “Star Wars”. Emblems of the “Galactic Empire” and “Rebel Alliance” are on the cup holders and also along the D-Pillars.
The front doors have “Rogue One” badges on them while the “Star Wars” logo can be found at the rear bumper. In short, all these seem to pertain to one famous line “Don’t underestimate the Force”. This isn’t the only time when Nissan has tied up for a movie franchise. About four years ago, the automobile brand also produced a limited edition vehicle for a Batman trilogy aptly called “Juke Nismo Dark Knight Rises”.
In fact, they had been doing this for almost a decade already. The American action film “Die Hard” also had its special edition 2007 Nissan Navarra. Now, Nissan explores the “the galaxy far, far away” with the Rogue Star Wars Limited Edition package.Read the entire article Nissan unveils Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition at 2016 LA Auto Show
Nissan has just released a video about the Rogue Warrior that shows why this prototype is a good choice for those harsh winter conditions. The release is considered fitting as Canada is just starting with its major snowfall which marks the start of a possible severe winter.
In the video, the Rogue Warrior is equipped with snow tracks and shows just what it can do by going through what looks like 40 centimeters of new snow and then climbing up a 30-degree slope to reach a ski resort in the northern part of Quebec. Going back to the video, it starts with a group of snowboarders and skiers waiting impatiently for what appears to be a chairlift moving slowly.
An observant snowboarder, also in line, notices that the people are getting frustrated and makes an early departure. However the same snowboarder later returns in the Rogue Warrior and carries everyone up the hill, with all the snow, effortlessly.Read the entire article Nissan releases winter-ready Rogue Warrior Concept with stylish snow tracks
Nissan Motor Corp. has yet to announce its plans for overseas sales but it is thinking about introducing a Rogue crossover hybrid in the United States, according to Nobusuke Toukura, the vehicle's chief engineer. Nissan had recently added this vehicle to its lineup in Japan.
The Rogue, which is also known as the X-Trail in certain markets, will use the brand’s one-motor, two-clutch hybrid system that’s powered by a lithium ion battery. In Japan, the X-Trail Hybrid is predicted to make up as much as 40% of the nameplate's sales.
Toukura said that within the next five years, hybrid demand in the U.S. is likely to rise as emissions rules become stricter. The automaker wants to already have this hybrid in place. Japan, which is known for its fondness of hybrids, is an ideal place to launch this model.Read the entire article Nissan considers plan to offer hybrid Rogue crossover in the US
Renault-Nissan plans to increase its shipment of Nissan Rogue crossovers from South Korea to the United States by 38 percent this year to cater to increasing demand in North America. The alliance had planned to build 80,000 US-bound Rogues at Renault’s site in South Korea, but demand has tipped them to build 30,000 more to 110,000 units.
Nissan commenced production of the Rogue crossover in South Korea in 2014, which has allowed Renault Samsung, its partner’s local unit, to use the idle capacity at its South Korean plant. Renault Samsung saw its local sales dwindle by almost half in 2012, no thanks to increasing competition from Hyundai Motor Co. and German carmakers.
Renault Samsung, however, has seen its sales recover since then. The Rogue crossover is Nissan’s No.2 model in terms of sales in the US, with the Altima midsize sedan reigning as the brand’s best-seller.Read the entire article Renault-Nissan to build 30,000 more US-bound Rogues in Korea

Nissan Motor Co. has invited Canadian journalists to Quebec's Laurentian mountains to give them the chance to be behind the wheel of the all-new Rogue and take it on a spin on the ice-covered Mecaglisse circuit in Notre Dame-de-la-Merci. "There is no better place, even in Canada," remarked Christian Meunier, president of Nissan Canada.
He said that Nissan Canada was looking for a special location to show the journalists “what it is like to drive the Rogue in the true Canadian winter." The Mecaglisse circuit, part of a purpose-built, 700-acre all-season motorsports facility, could provide a good representation of the most extreme challenges in terms of road traction that any driver could encounter. The ice-covered circuit is an ideal place to highlight the advantages of Rogue's advanced all-wheel drive (AWD) system.
"It is not only just about AWD, the wheels powering down. It is also about the steering, the braking and how all of Rogue's systems come together to deliver a confident ride and driving experience," remarked Tim Franklin, Product Planning, Nissan Canada.Read the entire article Nissan highlights Rogue’s traction at ice-covered Mecaglisse circuit

To make the Renault-Nissan alliance more competitive, $160 million will be invested in Renault's South Korean plant to produce 80,000 Nissan Rogue vehicles. By 2014, Nissan will begin to produce and export the crossover to the U.S. Nissan hopes that with this move, it will alleviate the effects of the strong yen, cope with the rise in demand, and take advantage of a South Korea-U.S. free trade deal.
Because of plunging sales experienced by Renault Samsung, the automaker’s South Korean unit, it has had to cut its output in the last few months. The company said that the Busan factory will have a 300,000 capacity and is set to produce around 180,000 vehicles for 2012.
A company statement from Renault-Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn revealed that this development will benefit Renault, Nissan and RSM. This also gives the partners the opportunity to demonstrate their flexibility and power.Read the entire article Nissan Rogue will be built in South Korea
