Tesla has just updated their online configurator for the Model 3, adding a number of new updates, and it seems like the $35,000 base model will arrive sooner than we expect to see it.
A couple of months back, we heard about all the issues regarding the Model 3’s production. And finally, Tesla is starting to deliver some of these vehicles. As a matter of fact, the automaker has already added the $35,000 base model as an option for “Early 2018” in their website. But knowing Tesla, early 2018 probably really means mid to late 2018 - though it still got us a bit excited.
If you are one of the lucky ones that received the invite to configure your Model 3, you would be able to get it for $49,000 instead of $44,000. But why, you ask? That is because Tesla is giving it a Long Range battery that costs $9,000. The Premium Upgrades package is also currently mandatory, adding another $5,000 to its price tag.Read the entire article You might want to check out Tesla Model 3’s new online configurator
On its website, BMW is offering customers the chance to configure how they would want their X2 to look.

The price tag is $38,400, which excludes the destination and handling fee of $995. This remains to be more expensive though than the X1 with similar features. We are very much aware of the Lamborghini Urus’ powerful engine that produces an impressive 650 horsepower (484 kilowatts) and 627 pound feet (850 Newton metres) of torque. Thanks to its 4.0 liter biturbo V8, it can do the 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) sprint in as little as 3.59 seconds, before continuing to its maximum speed of 186 miles per hour (300 kilometers per hour).
Here’s the thing, with the massive six-digit price tag the SUV comes with, not a lot of people can afford to get their hands on one. And that is why Lamborghini came up with this solution. Nope, they are not lowering the price of the Urus, but instead, they have opened up the online configurator to the mass market, so everyone could have a chance to build the perfect Urus for themselves in the virtual world, without having to shell out a single dollar. The only difference is that they won’t be able to drive their creation.
The configurator will let customers choose from a total of 13 colour options including standard and metallic finishes - from Nero Noctis, Giallo Auge, to Grigio Nimbus and Bianco Icarus.Read the entire article 2019 Lamborghini Urus online configurator now available

A lot of gearheads we know enjoy tweaking their cars to make them look and perform like the dream car they cannot afford. There is nothing wrong with that though. And recently, BMW has launched the online configurator of the brand-new M5.
You’re probably wondering what’s available on the website. Well, first of all, there is a function where you can check out the car in 360-degrees - allowing you to check it out from all angles. Usually, online configurators would lead you to a page where you can pick your engine and transmission. But for the BMW M5 (F90), the only option is a 4.4 liter twin turbocharged V8, paired with an eight-speed automatic that will work with the company’s new xDrive all-wheel drive system. This engine carries out as much as 600 horsepower. Having only one engine option may not be the best thing the company has done.
Next comes the fun part, customers will be able to choose from a wide array of colour options, including some new ones for the F90-generation M5. Some of the interesting colours include Snapper Rocks Blue or Marina Bay Blue Metallic. We’re curious about how the former would look on the M5. Other colours include the Donington Grey and the Bluestone Metallic.Read the entire article 2018 BMW M5 (F90) online configurator is now up on German site for every fan’s enjoyment

There will be fewer than 100 various configurations for the upcoming Tesla Model 3. There also won’t be as many battery options and there would likely be a simplified Design Studio. Now, the Elon Musk-led Tesla recently updated its online configurator for the Model S and X design studio that packages vehicle configurations into 3 divisions: standard, premium and performance. The updates take effect before the company's planned production of its $35k mass market Tesla Model 3. This gives us a glimpse of what the Model 3 will possibly look like.
The updated configurator provides you the options to choose between 75 and 100 kWh battery packs. It’s also apparent that it removed the 90kWh battery pack option that's scheduled for discontinuation this June 8. The American automaker indicates that the 75 (no all-wheel drive option) is the standard model. The 100D is appointed as the premium trim and the P100D is considered the performance model. Model S and Model X purchasers can opt for either a "standard" configuration with a 75kWh battery pack that can run 249 miles of range on the Model S and 237 miles on the Model X, or a premium configuration that uses Tesla's long range 100 kWh battery pack.
Model S is capable of 335 miles of range on the 100kWh pack and the Model X will definitely have 300 mile per single charge. Adrenaline lovers can now opt for a performance package that swaps driving range with increased acceleration. Only recently, the Tesla models will not be categorized by its battery size, as they will be classified by trim comparable to what conventional automakers do. As the American automaker is aiming for the mass production of the Tesla Model 3, it has had the opportunity to appreciate its simple system.Read the entire article Tesla updates configurator for Model S and X, 90kWh option will be removed on June 8

Porsche's car designs are easily recognizable on the streets. In fact, it has released numerous 911 units, adding to its popularity. Concept designs of the 115-foot (35 m) 'GTT 115 Hybrid vessel has been made public by the Monaco-based yacht builder Dynamiq.
It is said to boast of integrated classic Porsche model cues. The GTT 115 concept is the brainchild of the joint collaboration of boat building firm Vripack and Studio F.A. Porsche mainly focused on the exterior design, while Vripack came up with the round bilge all-aluminum hull and significant hydrodynamic elements. The American automotive company Karma Automotive has launched an online configurator for its brand new Revero -- the newest plug-in hybrid sedan influenced by the now obsolete Fisker Karma. Only recently, Karma Automotive announced that it will officially launch the Revero and it then released all the specifications of the plug-in hybrid, including an updated interior.
Karma Automotive will also kick-start its deliveries of the newest plug-in hybrid sedan later this month. Karma Automotive's Chief Revenue Officer Jim Taylor said in his speech that the spot symbolizes the rebirth of one of the most renowned silhouettes in automotive history. They felt that this moment in time deserved to be recognized.
New Karma Revero is the modernized version of the now defunct Fisher Karma plug-in hybrid vehicle. Produced in Finland, the Fisker Karma was considered a beautiful flop, with approximately 1,950 models sold before the Fisker Automotive went bankrupt. Afterwards, Wanxiang Group Corp which is based in China, purchased the company's remaining assets in 2014 for $149.2 million.Read the entire article 2017 Karma Revero PHEV deliveries to start this month, online configurator is now available

For those who hope to get a picture of their personal version of the G30 5-Series, BMW has revealed that its online configurator for this model has officially gone live. Some caveat though, as it may take some getting used to as this application is available on the German website.
Even with that particular hurdle you still decide to proceed, then you get the chance to experience the brand’s rather comprehensive online configurator. The whole process starts with the choice of engines. Note that once officially launched, the 5-Series will be offering 4 types of engines, all turbocharged. Two will be diesel-powered which are a 2.0-liter version and the larger one which is the 3.0-liter.
The other two are petrol-powered with the first being a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter unit capable of output at 248 hp with the other one is an inline-six engine that can deliver 335 hp of power. However, the brand has disclosed that it will later be releasing two units, the first being the plug-in hybrid 530e. It is the second engine though that is likely to impress people as it will be the M550i xDrive with the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with an output of 455 hp, enough to even outsprint the M5.Read the entire article BMW’s online configurator for 5-Series (G30) is officially live
