Lamborghini has begun handing over the Centenarios to their rightful owners in different parts of the world. Last month, the first out of the forty Aventador-based Centenario has been delivered to an affluent car collector all the way to the UAE. There is also the menacing matte black Lamborghini Centenario that was being transported in Germany a few days ago. And very recently, a matte white Centenario has made its way to Paris!
The white Lamborghini in the video is believed to belong to a certain Qatari Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani. By far, the matte white finish is the most extraordinary paint scheme of all that has been delivered.
While the Centenario model that was put by Lamborghini at the show stands last year come in carbon fiber finish with yellow accents, this one generally comes in matte white body paint. But in many ways, it happens to express a different character since it also comes with contrasting color scheme.Read the entire article Spotted: Matte white Lamborghini Centenario arrives in Paris
Many automakers have been ditching the idea of attending motor shows, probably because they realised that they will reach more people while spending less money on just organising their own events, or by publishing their news on social media. So, are automotive shows dying or evolving? Well, even if Lamborghini will not be joining the 2018 Paris Motor Show this October, just like its parent company Volkswagen, these shows will still continue.
This year is not the first time Lamborghini skipped Paris - a biennial auto show that alternates with Frankfurt. Back in 2016, both Lamborghini and Bentley did not attend the Paris show, as well as Aston Martin, Ford, Volvo, and Rolls-Royce. Lately, automakers have been reassessing the value of auto shows. As mentioned earlier, automakers like Volvo are realising that it would be better to organise their own events than to shell out millions of dollars to get press coverage at an auto show.
But then again, it doesn’t mean that Lamborghini or Volkswagen will totally be absent in Paris. And this is because they will likely organise their own events in the city during the exhibition.Read the entire article Lamborghini is 10th automaker to confirm absence at 2018 Paris Motor Show
Exactly one year ago on March 6th, Lamborghini decided to finally reveal the Huracan Performance at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. This year, the automaker decided to get rid of the coupe’s roof for the same event that is held yearly in Switzerland. The Spyder pretty much has everything you would want in the fixed roof model, but only this model can pull off this type of body style, with the open top.
Even with the company’s same Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA), the soft top Spyder has not been hampered in any way. The reason for the ALA is for it to create the sleekest body possible and consequently boost performance. The droptop Huracan also borrowed the coupe’s revised four-wheel drive system, along with an upgraded suspension and the optimized stability control.
Aside from that, Lamborghini’s engineers gave the droptop a lot of forged carbon fiber bits to cut down a total of 35 kilograms (77 pounds) over the standard Huracan Spyder, while also fiddling with its steering. The model now weighs 1,507 kilograms (3,322 pounds) when dry - distributed 43:57 front/rear. The fabric roof can then be lowered at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour (50 kilometers per hour).Read the entire article Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder arrives in style
The Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 has been out in the market for about 2 years now, with the last number in the model’s name indicating that the vehicle has a two wheel drive layout, which was implemented in the new Audi R8 V10 RWS. If you are a fan of RWDs and are expecting to see a larger Aventador with that setup, you will be disappointed as the automaker has no plans of developing an RWD version.
During the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Australia’s Drive magazine interviewed R&D boss of Lamborghini, Maurizio Reggiani. Here, he revealed that the Aventador will remain to be the company’s flagship model and is going to keep its all wheel drive system. You may be wondering why that has been decided. Well, it is because sending as much power from the V12 to the rear axle will allegedly make the vehicle difficult to manage once it hits a certain speed. To be safe, the automaker decided not to let this happen as they will be liable for it.
Furthermore, they assured that the decision was not only made due to safety reasons, but also because the Lamborghini Aventador is meant to keep its all-four wheel configuration. Without this AWD layout, the supercar’s traction control system would be so invasive, says Reggiani.Read the entire article Lamborghini Aventador will never have an RWD setup
Lamborghini has made it a point for its future vehicles to have the same renowned exhaust note. That is why the automaker has put the focus on hybrids instead of going full throttle on building fully electric vehicles. Hybrids are perfect because they reduce dangerous emissions but customers and onlookers alike still get to enjoy the sound of its powerplant.
In an interview between CarAdvice and Maurizio Reggiani, Lamborghini’s Chief Technical Officer, we learned that the automaker looks at hybrid machines as the answer to carbon dioxide requirements. With a hybrid, they’re able to keep the natural aspirated appeal but reduce the CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.
Reggiani also mentioned that the future Aventador and Huracan will still retain their naturally aspirated engine, but it is not impossible for them to have hybrid assistance. The chief technical officer believes that this will have two major advantages: a better throttle response and the fact that it will provide a differentiating factor over turbocharged, supercar competitors like Ferrari and McLaren cars.Read the entire article Lamborghini will stick with hybrids to retain brand’s unique engine sound
A new version of the Lamborghini Aventador is definitely on the way; it is just that the supercar maker has yet to announce its official name. There have been reports saying that this would be a Performante, an SE, a GT, a JOTA or an SV, although nothing is sure yet. Nonetheless, the newest Aventador is a true performer, with a potential power output of more than 800 PS.
While Lamborghini has yet to officially announce the true moniker of its new Aventador creation, it seems like a leak has occurred. Weeks ago, an Instagram user shared a leaked image of the instrument display showing the name of the new Lamborghini supercar – the Aventador SVJ. The letters SV has been known to stand for Super Veloce, which are the Italian words for “super fast.” Quite a number of Raging Bull models have already received this designation.
The letter J, meanwhile, was first used by adopted by the factory’s test driver Bob Wallace, whose drove a special version of the Lamborghini Miura that bears the J mark. In fact, Lamborghini actually managed to convert some Miura SV models to SV/J specification. The Aventador J – unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show -- was the last Lamborghini model to use the letter as a suffix.Read the entire article V12-powered Lamborghini Aventador SVJ could deliver more than 800 PS of max output
While everyone wants to get their hands on a Lamborghini Urus as early as now, that isn’t likely to happen. However, one lucky tuner did just that. In fact, TopCar Design has already started on its latest project.
Many of you would agree that a factory fresh Lamborghini Urus already looks aggressive as it is, especially when it comes to its exterior design. Howevever, Lamborghini boasts that the Urus stands out from the crowd because of its “2/3 body, 1/3 window” ratio that is like that of a supercar - similar to both the Aventador and the Huracan.
But no matter how beautiful it already is, some people just want more, or maybe they just want to make their ride more personalized. If that is so, then this custom body kit by TopCar Design is probably what you need.Read the entire article TopCar has a body kit in mind for the Lamborghini Urus
Anything that is being hyped nowadays can be sold at double or triple the price, just because people know that no matter what the situation, it will still sell. And that is the case now with the Lamborghini Urus. It should be mentioned that this SUV will be made by the same company that built the really powerful Aventador SuperVeloce that boasts 740 horsepower, as well as the Centenario, and supercar icons like the Countach and Miura.
Under the hood of the Lamborghini Urus is a 4.0 liter biturbo V8 that carries out no less than 650 horsepower (484 kilowatts). And in only 3.6 seconds, it can reach 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) from a standstill and hit a top speed of 186 miles per hour (300 kilometers per hour). Overall, the four-seater SUV with a higher ground clearance also comes with supercar performance stats.
Apart from all that, no one knows what it feels like to be behind the wheel of the Urus, as it is unlike any other Lamborghini that we have seen out there. Having said all that, dealerships decided that they could likely mark up prices of the hyped up SUV.Read the entire article Would you pay double for the Lamborghini Urus to secure a build slot?
Not long after Lamborghini unveiled the new Urus super sports utility vehicle, an automotive graphic artist made a rendering of a coupe-styled version of the SUV. It simply re-imagined the Urus four-door as a two-door coupe SUV, and the resulting rendered image is spectacular. Now, the same graphic artist has rendered the new Lamborghini Urus, not as a super SUV, but as double-cab pickup truck.
While it would be very hard to imagine Lamborghini creating a pickup truck, the newest rendering of the Urus as a full-size pickup truck is as equally tantalizing to the eyes as the coupe-style version. After all, both renderings were made by the designer who went by the professional moniker of X-Tomi Design.
In creating his pickup truck rendition of the Urus, X-Tomi employed an image showing the original super SUV in its profile. Upon closer inspection, X-Tomi didn’t touch the design of the Urus from the front end to the A-pillar – everything remains the same at this section. On the whole section starting from the A-pillar to the B-pillar, there aren’t so many design changes, except for the front window now larger on the pickup version. This is because the rearward slope of the slanting roof has been made less steep. The roof now also features a rack for added practicality.Read the entire article Lamborghini Urus super-SUV is re-imagined as double-cab pickup truck

The unveiling of the Lamborghini Urus is considered as one of the automotive milestones achieve this year. Not only is the four-door Urus the company’s first sports utility vehicle, it is also regarded as the first super SUV in the world. It looks great and stunning in this four-door configuration, which is essential if you are trying to mix super performance and practicality.
Nonetheless, there are customers who would like their Urus super SUV to look more aggressive, with a styling that fits its super performance nature. Thus, some are trying to imagine the Urus as a coupe-styled SUV – with two doors and a longer bonnet. But if that is somewhat hard to imagine, an automotive graphic artist who goes by the professional moniker X-Tomi Design has just created a rendering of a coupe-styled Urus. It was a simple re-imagination of Urus four-door as a two-door, but it looks astonishing.
At first glance, the visual tweaks that X-Tomi implemented on the Lamborghini Urus entailed the removal of the two rear doors that allow access to the rear passenger cabin of the SUV. Furthermore, the bonnet of the Urus was seemingly made longer. Other than these, it appears that everything from the base of the A-pillar and the tip of the bonnet where it meets the windshield have been shifted to the rear.Read the entire article Lamborghini Urus rendered as coupe-styled super SUV
Many automakers seem to always have the Nurburgring in the back of their heads when they build new cars. And a lot of them seem to be obsessed about making an attempt to break the record. Now, Lamborghini has decided to join the rest of these guys. It is not the first time for them to take their cars to the Green Hell. In fact, the Huracan Performante once took home the record around the Ring, before the Porsche 911 GT2 RS took over with a total of 6 minutes 47.3 seconds time.
Next spring, the Italian automaker plans to head back to the Green Hell, but with a different model this time - the Lamborghini Urus -- as it attempts to be the fastest SUV to lap the Nurburgring. At the time of this writing, it is the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio that holds the record time with 7 minutes and 51.7 seconds.
However, if you could remember, some people doubted its performance saying that the video had been edited to make it look like it finished that soon. Whether it is legitimate or not, that is still the same time the Urus has to beat to become the record holder.Read the entire article Can the Lamborghini Urus beat Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s Nurburgring SUV record?
In addition to revealing the first images, ARES Design also released new information on its upcoming supercar dubbed as “Project Panther.” The company is aiming for this new model to be a more contemporary version of the De Tomaso Pantera.
De Tomaso Pantera was a mid-engined sports model released between 1971 and 1992. The name comes from the Italian word for “Panther” and was the most popular model of Italy’s De Tomaso company. At least 7,000 units have been released over its 20-year run.
That ARES Design is coming out with its own version of the Pantera is not surprising especially to those who are familiar with its founder and CEO Dany Bahar. Swiss businessman Bahar is well known in the automotive industry for his rather controversial stint as the CEO of Lotus. Bahar had been with Red Bull prior to leading Lotus.Read the entire article ARES Design Project Panther is a modern-day De Tomaso Pantera based on Lamborghini Huracan
We are very much aware of the Lamborghini Urus’ powerful engine that produces an impressive 650 horsepower (484 kilowatts) and 627 pound feet (850 Newton metres) of torque. Thanks to its 4.0 liter biturbo V8, it can do the 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) sprint in as little as 3.59 seconds, before continuing to its maximum speed of 186 miles per hour (300 kilometers per hour).
Here’s the thing, with the massive six-digit price tag the SUV comes with, not a lot of people can afford to get their hands on one. And that is why Lamborghini came up with this solution. Nope, they are not lowering the price of the Urus, but instead, they have opened up the online configurator to the mass market, so everyone could have a chance to build the perfect Urus for themselves in the virtual world, without having to shell out a single dollar. The only difference is that they won’t be able to drive their creation.
The configurator will let customers choose from a total of 13 colour options including standard and metallic finishes - from Nero Noctis, Giallo Auge, to Grigio Nimbus and Bianco Icarus.Read the entire article 2019 Lamborghini Urus online configurator now available
The Lamborghini Urus got quite a bit of attention before it was officially launched. And when the Italian automaker took the sheets off of their newest 2019 Urus, there was a collective gasp as it was truly gorgeous. We could tell that it shares many cues with the original concept in 2012, but the latest model is just a bit more aggressive.
It will definitely stand out beside other SUVs with its new and unique look -- from its chiseled face, slim headlights, to the coloured accents in the grille. Of course, the Urus gets a very powerful engine under its hood.
Having said that, the Lambo’s successor comes equipped with a 4.0-liter biturbo V8, and this pumps out 650 horsepower (484 kilowatts) and 627 pound-feet (850 Newton-metres) of torque. It also returns an impressive 22.2 miles per gallon. This engine works with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission that benefits from a torque converter -- a first for the Lamborghini brand.Read the entire article 2019 Lamborghini Urus is the first Super SUV on the market
On December 4, Lamborghini is scheduled to release the very much awaited Urus SUV, and a few days after that, an LM002 by the Italian automaker will be put up for auction by RM Sotheby’s at the New York Icons. The automaker says that the model will be sold by almost double the amount of the Urus, at $400,000 to $500,000.
Between 1986 and 1993, Lamborghini only produced 301 units of the LM002 production model, and only 48 of those were specifically made for the United States with the LM/American spec. This particular unit that will be auctioned off is actually one of them. Originally, it came with a price tag of $158,000, and it features a red interior and a black exterior.
Apart from this being a rare model, the LM002 also recently went through a restoration that lasted for five years - the whole package cost $325,000. One of the few things included in the package would be the new Pirelli Scorpion tires that are the same as those on the original SUVs. It had been installed with a modern Alpine stereo with Bluetooth as well. Even though the LM002 is decades old, it still has its original factory tool kit, as well as the assorted books and manuals.Read the entire article You could score this rare US-spec Lamborghini LM002 at RM Sotheby’s auction
Lamborghini had been expected to refresh its entry-level model – the Lamborghini Huracan – in late 2018 or early 2019. But here is some good news for fans of the Lamborghini Huracan: the new sports car would be updated beyond just a typical refresh.
According to a report by Car and Driver, citing a senior engineer at Lamborghini, the Italian carmaker plans to give the 2019 Huracan a rear-wheel steering capability as well as a higher voltage electrical subsystem. These updates should improve the Huracan’s capabilities for greater levels of on-the-road performance.
The first of the updates involves having the new Lamborghini Huracan adopt a rear-wheel steering system from its larger sibling, the Lamborghini Aventador S. In the Aventador S, this rear-wheel steering system managed to reduce its wide, truck-like footprint to that of smaller sports car.Read the entire article Lamborghini to update the Huracan with rear-wheel steering and 48-volt electrical subsystem
Massachusetts may not be the first thing that comes to mind when hypercars are the subject of the conversation. There aren’t even any race tracks or mountain roads in the area. That’s why it’s quite a surprise for many people that the future of fast cars can be seen now in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
These all began when Lamborghini joined forces with a select group of MIT geniuses. This resulted into an all-new concept car they call the Terzo Millennio, which translates to “Third Millennium” in English. The machine has the design and engineering of a Lamborghini. Stefano Domenicali, CEO of the Italian automaker, describes this as “an important page in the future of the super sports car.”
When you hear Third Millennium, please know that it doesn’t refer to the next generation Lamborghini. Instead, it is the code for technology and design that could come to fruition in the near future.Read the entire article Terzo Millennio Concept is the joint project of Lamborghini and MIT
Day after day, we hear something new about the Lamborghini Aventador. The Italian supercar manufacturer has built a total of 7,000 examples of the said model in the six years that it has been in the market. Aside from being one of the most expensive supercars one can buy today, it definitely is one of the best too, and the company promises to make it even better as technology improves. Lamborghini’s chief commercial officer, Federico Foschini recently confirmed that new and even more special versions of the Aventador will come to the market in the next couple of years.
In an interview with CarAdvice, Foschini said that he loves the Aventador so much that he does not want the nameplate to die. He then said that “the time will have to come”, but he does not specify whether this will be sooner or later. Furthermore, he said something that got a lot of people even more excited. He said that the Aventador will have more surprises for us. Again, he does not specify what these will be. He did joke however that he will be murdered if he leaks the information he has.
Today, the most powerful Lamborghini Aventador that we know of is the Superveloce, and it had already been sold out. Under its hood is a naturally aspired 750 horsepower (552 kilowatts) V12 engine with as much as 508 pound-feet (690 Newton-metres) of torque. This engine works with a seven-speed Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) transmission distributing power to the wheels. As for the performance, it can quickly do the 60 mile per hour sprint (96 kilometers per hour) in only 2.9 seconds.Read the entire article Future editions of Lamborghini Aventador will keep naturally aspirated V12 but expect surprises
Lamborghini recently introduced the Aventador S Roadster just over a month ago at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. And already, the V12 powered convertible is going to receive a special edition treatment. The 400 GT model was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the raging bulls, and it will only be limited to five cars. Each one of the Japan edition models will be one-offs since the Ad Personam department and the Cento Stile both gave them unique looks that take inspiration from the five natural elements of Japanese culture: earth, wind, fire, water and sky.
The one you can see in the photos, from its official unveiling in Japan, is the “water” edition. On the same day, the Italian marque also came up with the second edition of the Lamborghini Day Concours d’Elegance Tokyo. In this event, Lamborghini displayed a total of 50 cars. A few of the notable models included here are the gorgeous Miura, the Diablo and Countach. Alongside these were vehicles like the restored Miura SV and a 1976 Countach LP. And guess who won the “Best of Show” award? Well, it was the Countach LP. During the event, the automaker also presented scale models of the other four cars based on the remaining elements that will soon be produced.
Let us not veer away from talking about the gorgeous Aventador S Roadster. The exterior livery was finished by a team of ten specialists by around 170 hours. The paint turns out with a nice finish that contrasts with the exposed carbon fiber that is used for the hardtop and the windscreen frame. There is also a ‘50 Japan’ badge near the vehicle’s rear fender.Read the entire article Special edition Japan-exclusive Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster 50th Anniversary unveiled
