BMW Z4 (G29) Concept, a joint project with Toyota, will be unveiled at 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance
If you thought that last year was the year for the BMW fanboys, then you might want to reconsider this year's offer. 2017 is upping the game after the 8 Series Concept was spotted at the Villa d'Este recently this week. At Pebble Beach is where the BMW followers’ dreams will come true, in a sense. According to sources, the upcoming BMW Z4 from the German automaker can finally be previewed after having been clouded in secrecy. We will be expecting this year to be a BMW fest, and we can't wait.
BMW axed the Z4 around August 2016 and probably, in the latter part of this year, the automobile will be given a second lease with the same label. To the surprise of everybody, a concept will be shown at 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance that is scheduled on August 16-20, and we are counting down the months before we can see how the roadster will transform into what will be known as the 3rd gen.
Produced under the "G29" moniker, the new roadster is conceived under the collective work between BMW and Toyota, with the Japanese automaker set to unveil its own version of the car, likely resurrecting the legendary "Supra" codename and released as a coupe. Prototypes of the said vehicles have been spotted various times, albeit in camouflage, so it’s very hard to decipher. However, the recent batch of spy photos did provide us some preliminary tech details of the revived Z4.Read the entire article BMW Z4 (G29) Concept, a joint project with Toyota, will be unveiled at 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance

As you can see, the vehicle’s carbon-fiber body features black and yellow colours, just like the legendary Bugatti vehicles such as the Type 41 Royale, Type 55 and Type 44. The Grand Sport Vitesse “1 of 1” was presented next to a Type 44 provided by the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, USA.
In addition, the rims fitted on the vehicles are also painted black and yellow. The front grille was also changed and for the first time the company replaced the traditional expanded mesh grille with a new one that features customer’s initials, “PL”.Read the entire article Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse “1 of 1” debuts at 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance
As we told you, BMW sold the one-of-a-kind i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition during the Goodwing & Company’s Annual Pebble Beach Auctions. It appears that the vehicle made quite a buzz among the people present there as it was sold for a staggering $825,000. This is a record price for a BMW i8 as the vehicle fetched approximately six times the MSRP of $135,700.
Still, the i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition is no ordinary vehicle as it comes with a BMW Individual Frozen Grey Metallic exterior paint and with a special interior wrapped in Dalbergia Brown leather upholstery, which was tanned using dye derived from plant extracts.
In addition, the interior features BMW i Blue stitching, trim accents in BMW I Blue, including the seat belts, as well as the “BMW i8” embossed into the front headrests. As expected, McLaren officially introduced at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance the design concept of the P1 GTR. The new vehicle will be the successor of the iconic McLaren F1 GTR, which began testing 20 years ago in order to get ready for the 1995 GT season. Produced by McLaren Special Operations, the P1 GTR is a track-only vehicle and doesn’t need to meet the legislations in order to become road legal.
As a result, McLaren’s P1 GTR will be fitted with slick tires, a fixed ride height, a fixed rear wing as well as an ERS-style push-to-pass system. As you can see from the photos, the new vehicle is based on the McLaren P1 road car but suffered big changes such as an increased front track (+80 mm), a more aggressive GT-style front splitter, reprofiled low temperature radiator ducts and active aerodynamic flaps.
There is an additional aerodynamic blade located behind the wheelarch that cleans the air from the front tires. An additional side panel at the rear brings air into the high temperature radiator and improves the aerodynamic performance of the rear floor.Read the entire article McLaren P1 GTR design concept shown at 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance
