Not everybody can get their hands on a race car, most especially if they are not a licensed race car driver. But there is one race car out there that anyone can buy: the Peugeot 308 Cup.
Peugeot is notorious for building insane race cars, and they have gained championships in almost every field of motorsport - from Dakar to Le Mans, and many more in between. Group B may be somewhat hard to reach, but if you can give some extra cash to Peugeot, they can give you something that might interest you.
You can have the Peugeot 308 Cup that I was telling you about earlier, as part of your collection, a track toy, or you can even use it to join racing events all over the world. And there are hundreds of tracks you can choose from including the VLN at the Nordschleife and the TCR series.Read the entire article You can now race with your very own Peugeot 308 Cup
After Peugeot 308’s sole image was revealed a few weeks ago, the French marque is now sharing more information about its new five-door hatchback. The diesel-powered 308 GT will be receiving a new 8-speed automatic gearbox plus minor tweaks inside and out according to the latest update.
Considering the “new facelift”, this is also the most understated exterior makeover we’ve seen on a Peugeot in recent years. The changes on the LED lights are not very noticeable but the redesigned hood somehow makes up for the lack of novelty. There’s a new bumper design on top of that which is visible enough along with its slightly modified vents and new fog lamps.
Unlike what we expect, the most significant element of this new update goes under the hood. Peugeot discloses there will be a new 180-hp diesel variant of the 308 GT and that it will feature a special 8-speed automatic transmission. Developed in collaboration with Aisin, this new gearbox will provide the 5-door hatch with a smoother and more efficient response as compared to the former 6-speed variety.Read the entire article 2018 Peugeot 308 Facelift to offer new safety suite, 8-speed AT and diesel variant
For the first time since the 1990s, the Peugeot GTi badge will be making a comeback with the upcoming launch of the 308 GTi by Peugeot Sport high-end performance hot hatch. The Peugeot 308 is already known as a winner, as evidenced by the prestigious 2014 European Car of the Year it had received.
Now, this hatch is turned into a high-performance model thanks to the extensive development of Peugeot Sport, a team of Peugeot sport engineers with vast expertise and success in the field of performance road car and international competition.
A 308 with the GTi is quite exceptional, as the letters -- an acronym of Grand Tourer Injection -- are only featured on high-performance Peugeot vehicles. Interestingly, the French brand already etched a name in the hot hatch segment with the introduction of GTi cars like the 205 GTi and 309 GTi.Read the entire article 2016 Peugeot 308 GTi hot hatch arrives in November, prices start at £26,555 in UK

Peugeot had to present its 308 R Concept before was launched at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) because some of its photos had leaked. Powering the new concept car is the same 4-cylinder 1.6-liter engine used on the RCZ R. This gives the car the ability to deliver 270 bhp and 330 Nm of torque from 1900 to 5500 rpm.
The front wheels get the power through the six-speed manual transmission and Torsen differential. Because of these figures, Peugeot put in a top-performing braking system that came with Alcon discs (380 mm in diameter and 32 mm thick on the front and 330 mm and 2 mm at the rear). The braking system is concealed at the back of a set of 19-inch bespoke wheels covered in 235/35 R19 tyres.
When it comes to design, Peugeot is offering a new carbon fiber bodykit that has a restyled front bumper with large air intakes, a front bonnet with two air vents, side skirts, exterior mirrors built using carbon fiber too, a new rear roof spoiler and a rear bumper with integrated air diffuser and two tailpipes.Read the entire article 2013 Frankfurt: Peugeot 308 R Concept looks even better in real life [Live Photos]
