If you are currently on a ski trip at Méribel, a town in the French Alps, you might want to take some time away from the slopes to check out Porsche’s newest pop-up store. As you could see in the photos, it is a Porsche Cayenne displayed inside a crystal dome. The German brand claims that this is their highest ever pop up store, at the top of the French Alps, with an altitude of 7,546 feet (2,300 metres).
If you aren’t too tired from skiing, you might want to head there and schedule a test drive in the Cayenne. The automaker has even set up what they call a Fun Zone in Val d’Isère that lets drivers experience the new SUV through a downhill segment, as well as through a snow-covered off road obstacle course.

Porsche has been making a killing in terms of sales with its two luxury sports utility vehicles, the compact Macan and the midsize Cayenne. While Porsche is known for its high-performance sports cars, its two SUVs have been outselling its other offerings combined. But perhaps time is already ripe for the German sports car maker to offer full-electric and coupe versions of the Macan and Cayenne. Porsche will decide on that matter next year.
In an interview with Automotive News during the recently held 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, Porsche chief executive Oliver Blume made it clear that the company’s first all-electric vehicle – based on the Porsche Mission E Concept sedan unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show – won’t be the company’s last project in electro-mobility. Thus, in line with its plans, the German sports car maker will be announcing its second electro-mobility project in the first half of 2018.
Blume quipped that the company needs to check first whether a Porsche SUV would make sense as its next electro-mobility project. This all-electric SUV could be an EV version of the Porsche Macan, as hinted by executives at the carmaker. The chances that the Macan or the Cayenne SUVs would be the Porsche’s next electro-mobility are high, considering that SUVs are its best-sellers. It would further diversify Porsche’s offerings without having to create a completely different vehicle. Around two weeks after Porsche unveiled the third generation of the Porsche Cayenne in Stuttgart, Germany, the sports car maker has taken the wraps off the turbo version of the sporty mid-sized SUV around 140 miles to the north in Frankfurt – the new 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo.
Simply speaking, the new generation of the Cayenne Turbo is Porsche’s mid-sized SUV on steroids. Compared to the next-gen Cayenne and Cayenne that were recently unveiled, the Cayenne Turbo represents a big boost in power. The 2019 Cayenne is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine delivering 340 horsepower of max output and 332 pound-feet of torque, allowing the base Porsche mid-size SUV to sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.
The Cayenne S, meanwhile, employs a bi-turbo 2.9-liter V6 mill delivering up to 440 hp of output and up to 406 lb.-ft. of torque – good for a 0-100 km/h dash of 4.9 seconds. On August 29, Porsche finally revealed the 2019 Cayenne in Germany, as the third generation of the SUV. This time, it comes with a facelift, more cabin space, and a lower curb weight.
The Cayenne was first introduced in 2002, and since then, around 760,000 units have been sold worldwide, making it one of the most important cars in the company. Around 500,000 of the examples sold are of the second-generation model.
With all the new features, expect the 2019 Cayenne to start at $65,700 and the Cayenne S at $82,900. Both variants are expected to have a $5,000 increase from the outgoing model. The 2018 Porsche Cayenne made an appearance sooner than we expected to see it. This is because photos of the SUV have been leaked online by AutoExpress. The leaked images show both the interior and the exterior of the SUV, and you can clearly tell that the design has been updated from its predecessor, as seen on spy shots and teasers before it.
The front part of the 2018 Cayenne does not get a major facelift, but the center grille has been made larger instead and are surrounded by two smaller vents on both sides. The side profile, on the other hand, still looks the same from sketches we have seen before. But this time, the SUV will be riding on a new set of wheels.
What sets the 2018 Cayenne apart from its predecessor is that the rear that has been completely upgraded, now with a sleek light bar like the Panamera that replaces the bulky tail lights from the outgoing model. It seems to be following other Porsche models like the 911 and the Macan. It also gets a more pronounced rear spoiler that looks good. It’s only days before Porsche finally and officially reveals the latest generation of its Porsche Cayenne sports utility vehicle, and yet the German sports car maker is still teasing the upcoming offering through a number of images and a video.
The recently released sketched images essentially show the elegantly sporty silhouette of the third generation of the Porsche Cayenne. The images basically reveal a low-profile yet sleek front section, thereby making the Cayenne visually connected to its sports car siblings. In addition, the images reveal a sportier rear end. Since we are just a few weeks away from the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, automakers have been releasing teasers of their IAA-bound vehicles. And for Porsche, it is the 2018 Cayenne, or the third-generation model that was first introduced in 2002. Since the Cayenne was first introduced to the public, the company had delivered over 760,000 units already, this tells us how important this model is for the company’s lineup.
Even before it makes its official debut on August 29, the 2018 Cayenne is already making a lot of noise, with a number of images as well as videos with some interesting content - the fact that it had to endure a series of tests. Overall, pre-production models and prototypes of the SUV went through a total of 4.4 million kilometers (2.7M miles) during test drives in various weather conditions, where temperature ranged from -45 to 50 degrees Celsius (-49 to 122 Fahrenheit). Porsche’s GT division has finally brushed off the rumors that a Cayenne GT or a Macan GT will be added to its current lineup. In a recent interview with Car and Driver, Andreas Preuninger confirmed that neither Porsche’s SUV nor crossover range will get GT2 or GT3 versions made. The Head for Road Car Development has even mentioned the Panamera while explaining how the GTs are built directly on real race car models. That said, unless a Panamera, Macan or a Cayenne gets into racing, there is no reason to anticipate a GT version at all.
Preuninger further noted that a customer purchasing a 911 GT3 is well aware about their products. He also said that a Cayenne or a Macan taking part at the Dakar rally is one thing that hasn’t crossed their minds. If so, Preuninger thinks it could be all up to the Motorsport division whether that type of vehicle should be brought into racing.
From the way we see it, it seems Porsche won’t bank on the GT’s heritage for the sake of building more race car versions of their current lineup. Preuninger believes that using a GT badge on either a Cayenne or a Panamera just to make it more marketable will only compromise the division’s credibility. An Egyptian car owner is pursuing a criminal case against a con artist who duped him out of his 2011 Porsche Cayenne. The Cayenne owner met the suspect after the former posted an advertisement online looking for buyers for his 2011 Cayenne, which he priced at Dh200,000.
Just a few hours after posting the advertisement, he was then contacted by the suspect seeking a meeting in order to purchase the car and go through the requisite formalities. The Cayenne owner eventually met with the supposed buyer and an associate.
The Egyptian man noted that the suspect avoided meeting with him personally, staying inside his Ferrari while letting his friend handle the negotiations. Besides the all-new 911 (991) Targa 4 GTS, Porsche also revealed at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) the new Cayenne Turbo S, the top model of the sporty SUV model series. The new Cayenne Turbo S uses a 4.8-liter V8 biturbo engine that delivers 570 hp (419 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque.

Porsche’s Cayenne GTS received a facelift today and now, the Cayenne lineup is almost complete, as we still need to see the new Cayenne Turbo S. The biggest change on the new 2015 Porsche Cayenne GTS Facelift is that the new model ditched the old 4.8-liter V8 engine in favor of a new 3.6-liter V6 biturbo engine.
The new engine delivers 440 hp and 600 Nm of torque. As a result, it is more powerful than the previous V8 (+20 hp) but also more fuel-efficient because fuel consumption goes down by 0.9 l/100 km.

The third-generation of the Vantage kit arrives with a new front bumper with LED lights, a brand new hood with new air intakes, extenders for the front and rear fenders, lining on the front fenders as well as on the front and rear doors.

Porsche officially introduced today the 2015 Cayenne Facelift, an updated version of its popular SUV that will hit the US dealerships starting November 1. The new generation of the Cayenne will be available in four versions in the United States: Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo and the all-new Cayenne S E-Hybrid, while Europe will also get the Cayenne S Diesel.
Just like it did on the Panamera Facelift, Porsche will offer a new 3.6-liter V6 biturbo engine that will replace the old V8 on the Cayenne S. This new engine delivers 420 hp (309 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 550 Nm of torque available from 1,350 to 4,500 rpm – a gain of 20 hp/15 kW and 50 Nm. Bolted to a standard eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, the 2015 Cayenne S Facelift accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.5 seconds (5.4 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package), while top speed is 259 km/h or almost 161 mph. Despite being 0.4 seconds faster than the previous Cayenne S, the new model has a NEDC fuel consumption between 9.8 and 9.5 l/100 km (229-223 g/km CO2), which is 1 litre less than the previous V8 engine.
The 2015 Porsche Cayenne Diesel Facelift uses the 3.0-liter V6 that generates 262 hp (193 kW) at 4,000 rpm as well as 580 Nm of torque and using the Tiptronic 8-speed transmission it can push the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.3 seconds (7.2 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package), while maximum speed is 221 km/h or 137 mph. Just like the Panamera S E-Hybrid, the new 2015 Cayenne S E-Hybrid uses a 3.0-literV6 supercharged engine that generates 333 hp (245 kW) and an electric motor developing 95 hp (70 kW).
The hybrid system delivers a total output of 416 hp (306 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 590 Nm of torque from 1,250 to 4,000 rpm. With these numbers, the first plug-in hybrid in the premium SUV segment is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.9 seconds, while top speed is 243 km/h or 151 mph.
Combined fuel consumption is 3.4 l/100 km, while CO2 emissions are just 79 g/km.
