After we saw the Golf 7 Variant and the Golf 7 Variant TDI BlueMotion, Volkswagen decided to show us at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show the Golf Estate/Variant Concept R-Line. As expected, the new Golf Estate Concept R-Line highlights the dynamic potential of the new body version of the Golf.
For those who don’t know, this is the first time an R-Line package is introduced on the Golf Estate/Variant. The concept features a customized front end which include a new front bumper, new side sills, a new rear bumper with integrated black diffuser and chromed tailpipes, but also a roof spoiler. The exterior design is completed by the 18-inch R-Line wheels.

Mercedes-Benz has chosen New York City as the location to reveal to us the refreshed C63 AMG family. These comprise the coupe, sedan, and cabriolet. In fact, we have seen the pre production models being tested but finally, the automaker has decided to get rid of the camouflage.
Now, we finally see them in the flesh, and we would say that one of the most obvious changes would be the new Panamericana grille that is actually pretty standard across the AMG line. That’s not the only thing it has been given though, as the 2019 C63’s front fascia has slightly been reworked as well. Meanwhile, the rear part gets twin tailpipes with high gloss chrome and a tweaked rear diffuser.
Under the hood of this C63 is a biturbo 4.0 liter V8 that enables it to produce 469 horsepower (350 kilowatts), while the C63 S has 503 horsepower (375 kilowatts). In our generation, super estates that had been tuned to become more powerful are becoming more common. One of the latest to be modified is the Mercedes-AMG C63 that has been made to go much quicker than the previous-generation supercars.
Thanks to aftermarket tuner Vath as they have turned this wagon into a ferocious beast. And believe it or not, in only 3.3 seconds, it can sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour) before hitting its maximum speed of 340 kilometers per hour (211 miles per hour).
After it has been tuned, the Mercedes-AMG C63 is now faster than a stock Ferrari 458 Italia by 0.1 second, which may not seem like much but any improvement is a big deal in this industry. This was attained after Vath tweaked its 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine, that now gives out 700PS (690 horsepower) and 900 Nm (664 pound-feet) of torque. But if you want this to be done to your existing wagon, you will have to spend 12,800 euros ($14,870). When Mercedes-Benz unveiled the AMG GT Concept, it received positive reviews. Fans were praising it for the sweeping lines and the arching fastback shape, mirroring the CLS-Class. Even with the excellent acclaim, that did not stop fans from coming up with their own versions. The latest of this was posted at Behance, a site owned by Adobe.
Rendered by a certain Aksyonov Nikita, the AMG GT Concept is depicted as a wagon or estate. This particular version is truly excellent especially with the long roof. Being a wagon, the haunches in the rear are larger. This is complemented by fender flares, resulting in the render have a more natural look to it.
If anything, this version brings to mind the Panamera Sport Turismo of Porsche. It is interesting to note that the use of blue for the render makes it look like the long-roof blue Porsche, that same model unveiled along the AMG GT Concept during this year’s Geneva Auto Show. In time for the official market launch of the new generation E63 and E63 S models, pricing for Mercedes-AMG’s E63 Estate Edition 1 has also been announced in Germany. Let’s just say the equivalent price in US dollars comes at approximately $152,575.
For starters, the standard E63 wagon boasts a 0-62 acceleration under 3.6 seconds and a top speed reaching 155mph (250 kilometers per hour). With 571hp (420kW) and 553 lb-ft (750Nm) of torque under the hood, the entry level variant can be had for the price of 112,907 euros. Clearly there’s nothing “ordinary” about its performance.
Next, the E63 S comes with a starting price of € 124,688. With its mightier engine, the Mercedes E63 S can deliver a much more powerful 612hp (450kW) and 627 lb-ft (850Nm) torque than the standard version. Months from now, Volkswagen will commence sales of its new Atlas SUV (2018 model year) in the United States. But as early as now, the German carmaker is making sure that it would be able to attract more customers for the new Atlas by disclosing that a performance-inspired R-Line package is up for grabs for its latest SUV.
This new trim will be available to the SE and SEL models of the 2018 VW Atlas, effectively enhancing their appearance both inside and out. The overall effect would be an Atlas that looks more dynamic and sportier than a typical model. Exterior enhancements packed in the R-Line trim include the fitment of distinct bumpers -- with integrated air intakes at the front bumper and a glossy black diffuser on the rear bumper.

The estate version of the new Mercedes-Benz E‑Class was presented at the Mercedes Cup tennis tournament in Stuttgart. The new E-Class Estate boasts of providing the most spacious interior in its segment. Its sportier roofline does not in any way compromise the headroom and elbowroom in the rear cabin – in fact they are the largest in this class. Moreover, the new E-Class Estate offers between 670 liters and 1,820 liters of cargo capacity, which means that its load compartment is one of the largest in the segment.
As standard, the backrest of rear bench seat could be positioned at a steering angle of around 10‑degrees – resulting to an increase of 30 more liters of cargo volume, while still allowing all five seats to be used. Also, the rear seat backrest could fold down in a 40:20:40 split, thereby offering several interior configurations that would favor either the passengers or the cargo.
The backrests could be released through the electric switches placed in the load compartment and to the right and left next to the backrests. Volkswagen has unveiled a slew of upgraded trim levels for a number of its nameplates, particularly for its Polo, Golf, and Passat Saloon and Estate models. In lieu of the SE trim comes the new Polo Match, which can be availed in either three doors or five doors.
Available in several engine-transmission combos, the Polo Match now boasts of over £900 worth of extra equipment. For instance, the VW Polo Match now comes, as standard, with a number of new features like front and rear parking sensors, cruise control and front fog lights with static cornering function.

Renault has unveiled the new Talisman Estate roughly one month after it presented the Talisman’s saloon version. It will start selling in Europe in the first half of 2016. Every year in Europe, the D segment (composed of saloons and estates combined) racks up sales of over a million units.
Estates make up about 54% of this number. The new Renault Talisman Estate has all the advantages of the saloon variant while getting the estate’s stylishness and practicality.
The measurements of the Talisman Estate are exactly the same as that of the saloon. It is 4.86 metres long, 1.87 metres wide, 1.46 metres tall, and has a wheelbase of 2.81 metres. ŠKODA will start to receive orders in the UK for the all-new Superb Estate later this month. The full pricing list and specifications have also been released. The new model comes with the broadest range of engine, transmission and trim level options that have ever been available for ŠKODA’s flagship model. Deliveries in the UK will begin this September. Similar to the hatchback variant, the new Superb Estate is offered with seven engine options.
Some models will have the option of DSG automatic and 4x4 transmissions. The engine lineup is comprised of four TSI petrol and three TDI diesel units. Their power ranges from the 1.6 TDI’s 120PS to the new 2.0 TSI engine’s 280PS. There are five trim levels for this range: S, SE, SE Business, SE L Executive and Laurin & Klement. These all provide improved specification and equipment levels compared to their counterparts in the existing range.
Even with the higher specifications throughout the range, the new Superb is very affordable. In fact, the new 1.4 TSI S model costs just £19,840 – only £25 more expensive than the S model that’s on its way out. With a length of 4856mm and a width of 1,864mm, the new Superb is 23mm longer and 47mm wider than its predecessor. Meanwhile, the 2,841mm wheelbase is 80mm longer. After revealing the new Superb in March at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Skoda decided that it’s time to show us the all-new 2016 Superb Combi. Set to make its world debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the new Skoda Superb Combi promises to offer a best-in-class interior space, balanced proportions and more driving dynamics.
Just like the sedan version, the Superb Combi is based on the innovative MQB technology and surprises us with a total boot volume of almost 2,000 litres. According to the official press release, the wheelbase of new Superb Combi was increased by 80 mm to 2,841 mm, while the track width increased to 1,584 mm at the front and to 1,572 mm at the rear.
Skoda says that its new vehicles offers 39 mm more elbow room than before, while the headroom in the front is 995 mm and 1,001 mm in the rear. Meanwhile, rear knee room is 157 mm, representing twice as much as the next-best competitor. BMW has unveiled the facelifted 3 Series that will go on sale next month. The BMW 3 Series will be available with a lineup of new engines, modified chassis settings, and reduced CO2 emissions. The 3 Series will be built on the same platform used on the current model.
However, BMW engineers said that agility is improved since they’ve made revisions on the car’s three chassis set-ups (standard, M Sport, and adaptive) by retuning dampers and adding stiffer suspensions. The automaker also reprogrammed the electric power steering system.
The 3 Series appears wider and lower but the styling changes are subtle. The 2015 Geneva Motor Show will open its doors in March but Volkswagen was eager to show us the first ever Golf GTD Estate. This means more space for the passengers and the same 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine that produces 184 hp and 380 Nm of torque. According to Volkswagen, the 2015 Golf GTD Estate is able to push the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.9 seconds, while combined fuel consumption is 64.2 mpg or 4.4 l/100 km.
When it comes to design, the vehicle shows brand new GTD bumpers, the well-known honeycomb radiator grille, as well as smoked rear lights and flared sills. The design is completed by the 17-inch Curitiba alloy wheels, black roof rails as well as by the dual chrome tailpipes.

SEAT surprised us today with the introduction of its all-new Leon ST Cupra, a high-performance version of its well-known station wagon. Following the same recipe as the Leon Cupra, the new 2015 SEAT Leon ST Cupra is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine that generates 265 hp (195 kW) or 280 hp (206 kW) in the Leon ST Cupra 280.
Bolted to the DSG automatic transmission, the Leon ST Cupra accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.1 seconds and in 6.2 seconds when equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox. Meanwhile, the Leon ST Cupra 280 needs 6.0 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) when using the optional DSG gearbox and 6.1 seconds when equipped with the six-speed manual transmission.
Both models offer a top speed electronically limited at 155 mph or 250 km/h. Despite these performances, fuel consumption is just 6.6 liter/100 km when using the DSG gearbox and 6.7 liters/100 km when using the manual gearbox, equating to CO2 figures of just 154 and 157 grams.
