2018 VW Atlas R-Line introduced

Months from now, Volkswagen will commence sales of its new Atlas SUV (2018 model year) in the United States. But as early as now, the German carmaker is making sure that it would be able to attract more customers for the new Atlas by disclosing that a performance-inspired R-Line package is up for grabs for its latest SUV.

This new trim will be available to the SE and SEL models of the 2018 VW Atlas, effectively enhancing their appearance both inside and out. The overall effect would be an Atlas that looks more dynamic and sportier than a typical model. Exterior enhancements packed in the R-Line trim include the fitment of distinct bumpers -- with integrated air intakes at the front bumper and a glossy black diffuser on the rear bumper.

Further exterior details include new side skirts, 20-inch aluminum-alloy twin-spoke wheels and R-Line badging. Interior improvements, meanwhile, come with an R-Line steering wheel clip as well as stainless-steel sport pedal covers. As soon as the driver starts up the SUV, the Modular Infotainment Platform (MIB II) infotainment system lights up with R-Line logo.

Volkswagen has announced the pricing details for the stylish R-Line version of its 2013 CC four-door coupe. The starting price of the 2013 Volkswagen CC R-Line is $33,020 (which includes an $825 destination charge). It comes with a six-speed manual transmission. Meanwhile, the versions that feature a six-speed DSG dual-clutch are priced at $34,120.

Just like other Volkswagen models, being given the CC R-Line treatment means that it gets mainly equipment and aesthetic upgrades. These cars ride on 18-inch “Malloy” wheels, a new front fascia with a lower lip and sportier foglight surrounds, stainless-steel door-sill plates, new side skirts, special R-Line badges, and touchscreen navigation.

R-Line package is offered just with versions of the 2013 Volkswagen CC that are powered by the 200-hp 2.0-liter turbo-four engine. German carmaker Volkswagen is now offering a new trim level to its Tiguan compact sports utility vehicle line-up, the R-Line. This trim level was one of the most popular models among the first generations of the Tiguan compact SUV, as the R-Line accounted for almost 20 percent of the total sales. With the return of the Tiguan R-Line, VW expects the vehicle to account for around a quarter of the total sales of the Tiguan.

New Tiguan R-Line is based on the SE trim level, with the addition of bi-xenon headlights, 18-inch ‘Mallory’ alloy wheels painted in Sterling Silver with black wheelarch extensions and body-colored unique front and rear ‘R’ design bumpers and rear spoiler. The latest Tiguan model also bears an R-Line logo on the front grille and aluminium front door sills.

This theme is carried over into the interior of the Tiguan R-Line, accentuated with front sport seats, two-tone upholstery and an R-Line logo on the front head restraints. The vehicle also sports stainless steel pedals and a leather multifunction steering wheel with aluminium inlay and R-Line logo. The Tiguan R-Line is available in three powerful engine choices: a 2.0-litre TSI with 210 PS and 4MOTION four-wheel drive, and the 2.0-litre common rail TDI engine with either 140 or 170 PS and 4MOTION.

Volkswagen is currently offering the R-Line appearance package based on the top of the line Beetle Sport model that spices up the styling of the small cars’ exterior and interior.
