Has a Range Rover sedan ever crossed your mind? Well, if it hasn’t, it will now. That is because Land Rover has expressed an interest in building a sedan. Furthermore, the automaker says that the Road Rover nameplate might arrive in 2019 as an electric vehicle. This time, it would not be an off roader, but instead, it will have the same platform as the next Jaguar XJ and will focus on luxury and design.
Having said that, an artist thought of bringing the proposed Road Rover idea to life. This designer, Kleber Silva, is based in Sao Paolo, Brazil and he rendered a Road Rover Velar sedan based on all the information he got. As the name suggests, it gets a number of design elements from its larger sibling, and it looks good.
If you check out the exterior, the front fascia and rectangular grille have been brought over from the Range Rover Velar SUV, as well as similar vents and LED light fixtures around it. Silva also borrowed the same wheels from the Velar. The rear end, on the other hand, looks sharp and is accented by tail lights that resemble that of the Range Rover’s. The exterior has been finished off with a polarizing bright gold paint.Read the entire article Brazilian artist reimagines Range Rover Velar SUV as Road Rover electric-powered sedan
It has been six years since Land Rover introduced the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. Since then (2011), the Ranger Rover Evoque compact luxury SUV has been one of the carmaker’s best-selling models. Testament to this is the fact that in six years, Land Rover has managed to produce and move around 600,000 units of the Range Rover Evoque.
Certainly, this milestone calls for a celebration. To make that celebration more realistic, the British carmaker is introducing a limited edition of its compact luxury SUV – the Range Rover Evoque Landmark Special Edition. This special edition pays tribute to the Range Rover Evoque’s critically acclaimed design, all-terrain capability as well as unparalleled appeal.
The new Range Rover Evoque Landmark Special Edition is wrapped in Moraine Blue finish -- a color that takes inspiration from the turquoise lakes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains – although it could also be finished in Yulong White and Corris Grey. It is fitted with a dynamic body kit and comes with a number of exterior design details in grey. This includes the Carpathian Grey contrast panoramic roof as well as the Graphite Atlas grille and bonnet. The fender vent and the tailgate lettering are also finished in Graphite Atlas. The new Range Rover Evoque Landmark Special Edition rides on 19-inch Gloss Dark Grey alloy wheels.Read the entire article Range Rover Evoque celebrates six years of success with Landmark Special Edition
The Range Rover Velar originally had a clean, minimalist design. But now with an integrated rear spoiler, flush door handles, striking proportions, and a foil stamped grille on its face, it offers a distinctive look.
Lumma Design, a German company founded in 1987 that specializes in tuning vehicles, got their hands on a Velar and decided to give the vehicle some tweaks here and there. The company initially gave the Velar a digital makeover, before building the actual thing. And now that it’s out, people seem to be digging the new design by Lumma.Read the entire article LUMMA CLR GT shows its forest green wide body kit for Range Rover Velar
What is in for Jaguar Land Rover in the United States for the 2018 model year? Jaguar Land Rover’s display lineup for the upcoming 2017 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) -- to be held at the Jacob Javits Center on April 12 to 23 – could give us some clues.
Jaguar Land Rover’s booth at the New York Auto Show will showcase two of its newest offerings – the new 2018 Range Rover Velar and the refreshed 2018 Jaguar F-TYPE. This will mark their debut on the American soil, bringing more excitement to customers in this part of the world.
The arrival of the new Range Rover Velar coupe-SUV meant that Land Rover’s Range Rover range now has four members. The Velar coupe-SUV is set to bring more depth to the carmaker’s already impressive offering, filling a slot between the Range Rover Evoque and the Range Rover Sport. There will be a new size hierarchy in the Range Rover family, starting from the largest to the smallest: Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar and the Range Rover Evoque.Read the entire article 2018 Range Rover Velar and 2018 Jaguar F-Type to mark US debut at New York Auto Show
As Land Rover unfurled its new 2018 Range Rover Velar to the global public at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, a new special chronograph from Zenith is being displayed beside this newest member of the Range Rover family, also with the name Velar. It is not surprising though, since this special watch celebrates the launch of the new Range Rover Velar.
It is a small watch with a lengthy moniker -- “Zenith Chronomaster El Primero Range Rover Velar Special Edition.” If you are planning to the purchase a new 2018 Range Rover Velar (which comes with a starting price of $50,895), then this special watch would be the perfect complement ($8,700). Actually, it is the first time that Land Rover and Zenith had collaborated. It can be remembered that Zenith also created a special chronograph to celebrate the launch of the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic in September 2016.
Velar is not an entirely a new moniker for Land Rover. In 1969, Rover started a project that would lead to the creation of the Range Rover in 1970. Around 26 pre-production Range Rover prototypes were created but were needed to be concealed from others by the carmaker’s development engineers. To conceal its existence, these engineers referred to the prototypes as Velar, as derived from the Latin term ‘velare’ that means to veil or to cover.Read the entire article $8700 special edition watch from Zenith is the perfect match to the 2018 Range Rover Velar
Soon, Land Rover will have four Range Rover offerings. Yes, the British auto company is adding a new model to its Range Rover lineup – the new Range Rover Velar coupe-SUV. If all goes well, Land Rover will reveal the new Range Rover Velar coupe-SUV to the global public on March 1, 2017, when the carmaker will also unfurl juicier details about its new offering.
According to the image of the four Range Rover SUVs, the new Range Rover Velar will be filling a slot between the Range Rover Evoque and the Range Rover Sport. This means that the Range Rover Sport wouldn’t be the second smallest member of the lineup anymore, although it would remain as the second largest Range Rover. As a result of the addition of the Range Rover Velar, there will be a new size hierarchy in the Range Rover family. The smallest would be the Range Rover Evoque, followed by the Range Rover Velar and the Range Rover Sport. Still dominating the family in terms of size is the Range Rover.
The new Range Rover Velar will try to build on the success of the Range Rover Evoque, which was one of the main reasons why Jaguar Land Rover was able to report a huge surge in sales in full year 2016. For those who find the Range Rover Evoque too cramped but also consider the Range Rover Sport too large, the Range Rover Velar should be a good choice. In addition, the new Range Rover Velar should also be able to close the price gap between the Range Rover Evoque (£40,000) and the Range Rover Sport (£80,000). This means that customers who see the Range Rover Evoque as too small but couldn’t afford the Range Rover Evoque don’t have to cancel or delay their purchase.Read the entire article Land Rover unveils the all-new 2018 Range Rover Velar

Land Rover is planning file a complaint with Chinese authorities over a local SUV it claims is too similar to its Evoque SUV, a report by Autocar says. The alleged copy – the Landwind X7 SUV– was unveiled at the Guangzhou Motor Show in China last week.
The X7 looks too much like the Evoque, and even bears the similar font and the lettering positioning on the hood. Land Rover chief executive Ralf Speth told Autocar that the “fact that this kind of copying” is happening in China is “very disappointing.”
He noted that that such copying should not happen since the intellectual property involved is owned by Jaguar Land Rover. He added that any infringement of that intellectual property will be a breach of international regulations applicable globally.Read the entire article Land Rover to complain against Chinese copy of Evoque SUV
