The new Range Rover Evoque Landmark Special Edition is wrapped in Moraine Blue finish -- a color that takes inspiration from the turquoise lakes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains – although it could also be finished in Yulong White and Corris Grey. It is fitted with a dynamic body kit and comes with a number of exterior design details in grey. This includes the Carpathian Grey contrast panoramic roof as well as the Graphite Atlas grille and bonnet. The fender vent and the tailgate lettering are also finished in Graphite Atlas. Land Rover is planning file a complaint with Chinese authorities over a local SUV it claims is too similar to its Evoque SUV, a report by Autocar says. The alleged copy – the Landwind X7 SUV– was unveiled at the Guangzhou Motor Show in China last week.
The X7 looks too much like the Evoque, and even bears the similar font and the lettering positioning on the hood. Land Rover chief executive Ralf Speth told Autocar that the “fact that this kind of copying” is happening in China is “very disappointing.”
He noted that that such copying should not happen since the intellectual property involved is owned by Jaguar Land Rover. A new engineering scholarship program was announced by Zara Phillips at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. The second-eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II said that the Range Rover Evoque WISE Scholarship will give a £9,000 scholarship to three female students or apprentices who want to enter a career or take advanced studies in engineering.
The recipients will also get mentoring support from Land Rover senior engineers as well as WISE representatives.
