Nowadays, we have all heard of hybrid cars and electric vehicles. But one thing is for sure, not everybody has seen or have heard of a gravity-powered car - until now at least.
You might already be aware of Aston Martin’s all electric car that is set to come out in 2019, the RapidE. But even before that comes out, they have already made a special edition V8 Vantage GTE that has zero emissions, which made its way to the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year. What’s cool about this car is that is does not run on an electric powertrain, nor hydrogen but it has less carbon footprint, plus it does not make a lot of noise. So how is that possible, you ask? Well, it is actually a soapbox car that runs on gravity. Sounds very scientific huh?
Aston Martin and Red Bull have always had a good relationship, and the V8 Vantage GTE was built for none other than the Red Bull Soapbox Race that took place on July 9 held in Alexandra Palace, London, UK.Read the entire article Special-edition Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE gets ready for the Red Bull Soapbox Race
When Aston Martin first gave the world a glimpse of the Vulcan, everyone felt shock and awe. This happened considering that this track-only model was equipped with the V12 engine that could offer 820 hp (611 kW).
Well, be prepared for another surprise as the brand’s talented team of engineers appears to be at it again with a new V12 hypercar that is also street-legal. Hidden under the codename AM-RB 001, Aston Martin revealed that it will be called the Valkyrie, the name given to the female warriors of Norse lore.
Making this hypercar even more impressive is that while it is slated to become what may be the fastest production car there is, it is the result of a collaboration of a number of big names in the industry. In the lead, we recognize Red Bull Advanced Technologies and the Chief Technical Officer of the Red Bull Racing F1 Adrian Newey. Meanwhile, the naturally-aspirated customized 6.5-liter V12 engine was worked on by Cosworth together with Rimac, who will be responsible for the hybrid configuration. Rimac is well-known to many as the one who created the electric Concept One hypercar.Read the entire article Big names in auto industry came together to build Aston Martin Valkyrie
It seems that AM-RB 001 hypercar is not the only vehicle project that Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing has gone into. This time, don’t expect something as outlandish as the AM-RB 001 hypercar, but of course, the new project should still leave us mesmerized.
In order to celebrate the so-called “Innovation Partnership” between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing, the two companies are creating special versions of the V8 Vantage S and the V12 Vantage S. These special versions – called the V8 Vantage S Red Bull Racing Edition and the V12 Vantage S Red Bull Racing Edition – are all filled with Formula One flavors as per Red Bull Racing manners.
Taking charge of transforming the V8 and V12 Vantage S into Red Bull Racing Editions is the carmaker’s in-house personalization service -- Q by Aston Martin. Aston Martin’s bespoke division took inspiration from the unique livery of the Red Bull Racing team to create Vantage S special versions that would greatly appeal to “the most devoted Formula 1 enthusiast.”Read the entire article New Aston Martin V8 and V12 Vantage S Red Bull Racing Editions are F1-inspired
Even when Aston Martin has been mum about the upcoming AM-RB 001 hypercar, Marek Reichman at least has something new to say. In a recent interview with Australia’s Motoring, the chief designer talked about the AM-RB 001’s 250mph top speed as well as its impressive 4.5 cornering G-force.
Aston Martin’s RB-001, according to Reichman, will have the 1,000hp naturally aspirated V12 with up to 6.0-7.0-litre engine displacement. More so, it will come with Xtrac’s single clutch sequential gearbox.
If you can recall, it was earlier reported that the engine was estimated to deliver up to 11,000 rpm. But according to the latest word from the man himself, the hypercar can only rev up to 9,500 rpm. Not bad. Since it’s a totally new engine, at least we’ll be expecting it would be made mostly of aluminium with maybe some parts in carbon fibre.Read the entire article Aston Martin AM-RB 001 hypercar will offer a 250 mph top speed
Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing teamed up for the first time in creating what looks like one of the most ferocious beasts in history. The British car manufacturer has evolved into something really big this time as we can see in the upcoming AM-RB 001.
The recent information we got is from the Wall Street Journal’s interview with Adrian Newey, which reveals some of the juiciest details of the Aston Martin Redbull Hypercar. The efficiently designed AM-RB-001 is packed with highly advanced active suspension system and can take off in under ten seconds while reaching a top speed of 200 miles per hour. Thanks to its 1,000 horsepower V12 engine.
The chief technical officer remarked about the AM-RB 001’s active suspension, saying that it gives the vehicle the ability to adjust to the track with its lower and stiffer suspension setup. The highly advanced suspension can actually self-adjust to the ground since it implements a slightly softer suspension when on the road. Wow. That’s insanely genius.Read the entire article 2018 Aston Martin Red Bull AM-RB 001 specs are absolutely insane
Recently, Aston Martin unveiled their newest hypercar the Aston Martin AM-RB 001 – a mishmash of cutting-edge F1 technology and a design that screams Aston Martin. In collaboration with Red Bull, the AM-RB 001 came to exist with the genius minds of Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman and Red Bull’s Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey. But in the first place, how did this concept even come to life?
The British automaker and Red Bull first announced their partnership early this year. However, the AM-RB 001 was already being planned way before the said date and maybe way before one of them even thought about it.
First off, Adrian Newey has been in the business for almost thirty years. He worked as a race engineer, an aerodynamicist, a technical director and of course, a designer for Formula One and IndyCar racing. He is well-known by his craft and thus, one of the most amazing brains known for creating the ambitious Aston Martin AM-RB 001.Read the entire article Throwback: This is how the Aston Martin AM-RB 001 came to be
This generation of cars have been more like a clash of super powers. Various automakers have been working on developing some of the most powerful cars to compete with the current members of the hypercar Holy Trinity. The Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 have set the bar for future hypercars and have challenged the automotive world to do better. Now, Aston Martin is in the works of creating their very own hypercar that will surely take your breath away.
In a recent event at Aston Martin’s headquarters in Gaydon, UK, the British luxury car manufacturer unveiled their new creation – a hypercar that is a combination of cutting-edge F1 technology and a uniquely Aston Martin design. This hypercar is the product of Aston Martin’s partnership with Red Bull Formula One Team.
This new addition to the growing hypercar family is the creation of Red Bull’s Chief Technical Officer and the world’s most successful F1 designer Adrian Newey and Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman. Reichman has since been the British automaker’s design chief since 2015 and is the man behind the One-77, the Aston Martin Vulcan and the latest DB11. These two along with their team of engineers and designers have worked together to create what they have called the Aston Martin AM-RB 001.Read the entire article Red Bull and Aston Martin team up to build this generation’s hypercar: the AM-RB 001
While some of us might be cowering and hibernating during the winter season, there are people from Red Bull who thought it fun to drive a Ferrari F40 in the snow-covered mountains of Japan. Yes, you read that right. Apparently, Red Bull thought it was okay to drive up to the mountains in one cold winter day in Japan and drift through an ice covered mountain resort.
Geared up with tire chains and a DOHC 32-valve twin-turbocharged intercooled V8, Red Bull’s Ferrari F40 was not one to succumb to the winter cold. In the video called “A Day In The Life”, the Ferrari F40 is seen driven with incredible driving skills as it was drifting through the snow as if it’s just running on dry land.
Imagine being in the same vehicle and praying for dear life so that the vehicle will not end up sliding down the cliff. Driving in the snow is itself cringe worthy, what more drifting and maneuvering itself through the snowy mountains of Japan. We’ll have to commend its driver Takeshi Kimura for such astounding skills and control.Read the entire article The Cold (and snow) Never Bothered This Ferrari F40
An Innovation Partnership has been inked between Aston Martin and Formula One team Red Bull Racing as well as Red Bull Advanced Technologies, one that entails a collaboration between the carmaker’s chief creative officer Marek Reichman and the team’s chief technical officer Adrian Newey to create a revolutionary Aston Martin hypercar.
This new hypercar – codenamed Project AM-RB 001 – would be a definitive fusion between state-of-the-art F1TM technology and Aston Martin’s signature sports car design. With Newey and Reichman working together, achieving success on the project would be very likely.
Since this unique yet dynamic partnership combines the strongest elements of Red Bull Racing, Red Bull Advanced Technologies and Aston Martin, it would be safe to assume that the best in the field of aerodynamicists, composite materials and manufacturing would be working to come up with the ultimate car.Read the entire article Aston Martin teams up with Red Bull Racing to build next-gen hypercar
The replacement of Mark Webber as Red Bull’s new driver has finally been named. Fellow Australian Daniel Ricciardo will be representing Red Bull in 2014 and beyond. According to several media reports, Ricciardo has entered a minimally three-year deal. On Red Bull-owned Austrian television Servus TV, Dr Helmut Marko said, “Continuity is important to us."
He pointed out that Ricciardo was the youngest candidate and also had the most potential. Other drivers considered for the seat include Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso. A “very logical choice” is how team boss Christian Horner describes Ricciardo. Designer Adrian Newey said that Red Bull opted not to get a more experienced, more known driver.
It also didn’t choose a much younger driver that they can bring to a “very high level.” He likened the decision to Williams' deliberations at the end of 1992, when the new champion Nigel Mansell left. Newey said that they could have selected Riccardo Patrese or take a chance on test driver Damon Hill. He further said that bringing in “young blood” is good.Read the entire article Daniel Ricciardo will replace Mark Webber and drive for Red Bull next year

The partnership also entails naming Infiniti as the major technical partner starting with the 2013 Formula One season. Red Bull Racing’s Sebastian Vettel won the Singapore Grand Prix for the second straight year. Vettel passed the finish line 8.9 seconds faster than closest pursuer Jenson Button of McLaren. Coming in third was Fernando Alonso of Ferrari. With his latest win, Vettel managed to close the gap between him and current championship leader Alonso to just 29 points.
Vettel crossed the finish line at the last lap with a time of 2 hours and 26.14 seconds. He is currently second in the race for the championship. This makes the race for the world championship even more thrilling with just six races remaining. Vettel’s Red Bull’s teammate, Mark Webber, finished tenth in the 2012 Singapore Grand Prix, as his strategy was compromised by the two safety car periods: first caused by Narain Karthikeyan of HRT-Cosworth crashing the wall on lap 30; and the second caused by the crash between Michael Schumacher of Mercedes and Jean-Eric Vergne of Toro Rosso-Ferrari on lap 38.
Webber, however, was met with a post-race 20-second penalty and slid to 11th. The Lotus F1 Team, meanwhile, achieved a double finish, with Kimi Raikkonen finishing sixth and Romain Grosjean seventh. The team had four Renault-engined cars into the top ten, before the post-race penalty was handed. The 2012 Singapore Grand Prix, however, was not as accommodating to the Williams F1 Team.Read the entire article Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel wins the 2012 Singapore Grand Prix

The recent agreement between Nissan and Red Bull Racing is a continuation of the partnership between Red Bull Racing Formula One and Infiniti.
Horner remarked that since extensive travel is part and parcel of Formula One, material, staff and guest transportation are an essential part of the company’s operations. He added that Nissan NV200 and NV400 will be vital in supporting the team. James Douglas, corporate sales director, Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd commented that they are looking forward with working as an official supplier for the F1 Red Bull team.Read the entire article Nissan is Red Bull Racing’s vehicle supplier for 2012 season

Red Bull’s chief designer Adrian Newey disclosed that the 2011 car will not have a radical new design but rather, it will be an evolution of the championship-winning RB6. Ever since new regulations were put in place in 2009, Red Bull has come up with race-winning cars and was able to complete both seasons with the fastest chassis.
Double diffusers will not be permitted in 2011 and the car's weight distribution will be set by the FIA and teams will have to hold bulky KERS units in the chassis; however, Newey insists that the RB7 won't require a drastic rethink. Newey told laola1.at that the DNA would not be changed and that the RB6 was “basically an evolution of the last car.”
In the past, Red Bull’s rivals have raised complaints about the legality of Newey’s car -- something that he expects to happen again for the 2011 car. He explained that when the car’s leading in F1, people think that you’re cheating.Read the entire article RB7 to be an evolution of 2010 car, Red Bull designer says
