Renault Scenic and Grand Scenic receive Initiale Paris treatment

When French carmaker Renault gave the Initiale Paris treatment to the Clio, Espace, Captur, and Koleos, these models never looked so great – making customers wanting more of these vehicles. Now, Renault is applying the same treatment to the Scenic and its bigger sibling, the Grand Scenic. Thus, customers could now avail from the Renault the new Scenic Initiale Paris and the Grand Scenic Initiale Paris.

This means that the Renault Scenic and the Renault Grand Scenic – in their Initiale Paris versions – will now be wrapped in the exclusive dark prune-hued metallic Amethyst Black finish and the star-pattern grille. Likewise, both the new Scenic Initiale Paris and the Grand Scenic Initiale Paris feature LED fog lamps with cornering function and ride on specific 20-inch wheels. Of course, this exclusive edition of the Scenic and the Grand Scenic will don the 'Initiale Paris' branding just below the diamond logo.

As soon as occupants open the door of either the Scenic Initiale Paris or the Grand Scenic Initiale Paris, they will be greeted by the 'Initiale Paris' sill guards. They will be welcomed by an interior that is wrapped in black or grey-patterned full-grain Nappa leather upholstery with embossed 'Initiale Paris' letterings. This full-grain Nappa leather is the same material that wraps the electrically-adjustable seats with heating and massage functions. This high-end material also wrapped the steering wheel and the gearshift lever of either the Scenic Initiale Paris or the Grand Scenic Initiale Paris. The center console and around the infotainment system will feature a specific color finish.

Renault introduces the Scenic XMOD

Renault has decided to replace the Scenic with the new crossover-style version of the car named Scenic XMOD. The Renault Scenic XMOD, which is based on the outgoing car it is replacing, had its ride height raised. It also received new bumpers, sill guards, new alloy wheels and roof bars so that it gets the off-roader appearance.

The Scenic XMOD is front-wheel drive but it has a better adverse weather performance due to a new Grip Xtend traction control system.

A rotary knob on the centre console is used to manually control the Grip Xtend. The standard setting is the ‘Road’ mode, which works as a conventional traction control system. When in Loose Ground mode, engine torque is controlled. Meanwhile, braking control is optimized in low-grip surfaces.
