Being able to afford a Rolls-Royce means that you have made it to the top of the chain so you probably don’t want to be subtle about it. You’d likely want one that’s painted in a bright, flashy colour. In this case, this RR Wraith that’s painted by the guys from Goodwood in a unique shade of Java Green is perfect for you. This eye-catching hue isn’t new. In fact, its parent company BMW has been offering this colour for quite some time now.
But then, this color is frequently seen on supercars, not so much on this luxurious coupe. So for this colour to appear on the Wraith is a bit of an oddity. But why not paint a rare car in a colour that you don’t normally see on it, right? It just makes it even more special, in our humble opinion.
When looking at this example with the dark theme applied onto the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine, it actually makes us think that we are dealing with the Black Badge edition that features a couple of black styling accents on the exterior. However, Rolls Royce denied this and said that it is not just an ordinary black shade because the hue was made even more intense than a normal black colour. This was also done after giving the paint multiple layers.Read the entire article This Java Green Rolls-Royce Wraith can be yours for $411K
Jon Olsson, a Swedish professional skier, has owned a couple of quite impressive cars including an 800 horsepower Lamborghini Huracan, a 950 hp Audi RS6 Avant, a Rebellion R2K, and Murcielago SuperVeloce Winter Edition. Not just impressive, but powerful ones indeed. This time, Olsson adds his dream car to this lineup - a Rolls-Royce Wraith.
Olsson purchased the Wraith, which he named “George” six months ago. It was then shipped all the way to The Netherlands where Absolute Motors took over to tweak the machine. Initially, the Rolls-Royce coupe was supposed to be given a “crazy off road look” with a set of “cool winter wheels” to match the owner’s needs and personality. However, he ended up going for a simpler customization due to the lack of time, which included a lowered suspension, extra LED lights all over, and a camo body just like his previous cars.
Apart from the customizations mentioned above, it comes with massive wheels perfect for tough winter days - a set of 24 inch Forgiato wheels. To make it more of a utilitarian vehicle, a bespoke roof rack has been added so Olsson can easily transport a carbon fiber jet-powered surfboard, weighing only at just 18 kilograms (40 pounds). A luggage set that matches his collection even came with the customized Wraith. All the windows had been given a dark black tint as well.Read the entire article Have you ever seen a Rolls-Royce Wraith do burnouts?
Swedish professional skier Jon Olsson has always been known for his love of thrill as well as for his penchant for high-powered exotic rides. His latest ride? A modified powered-up Rolls-Royce Wraith with a jet surfboard.
Olsson’s rides, aside from boasting of mouth-watering power outputs, have always sported unique liveries distinct to his personal tastes. From his 800-hp Lamborghini Huracan and 950-hp Audi RS6 Avant to his Rebellion R2K and Murcielago SuperVeloce Winter Edition, Olsson’s has never failed to impress not only his fans, but also other people in the world and that includes us.
Now, Olsson is making waves with “George” – the moniker he has given to his new Rolls-Royce Wraith. According to Olsson, it has always been his life dream to own a real Rolls-Royce. So, six months ago, he shopped for a new Rolls-Royce and thought the Wraith would be suitable for personality. But as far as we know Olsson, he loves to customize. What he does is not just your typical customization, but he always tries to build something different. This can be seen on his other rides, none of which look like a typical model.Read the entire article Skier Jon Olsson’s new ride is this unique 810 hp Rolls-Royce Wraith
In 2004, the British marque Rolls-Royce officially entered South Korea with the opening of their showroom located in Seoul before opening their second showroom last September in Busan. Now RR will have not only one, but two premium cars as a way of expressing thanks to the largest cities in the Asian country, Seoul and Busan, and to celebrate more than 10 years of congenial collaboration.
Giles Taylor, Rolls-Royce design director, said that this bespoke pair that they have created offer personal spaces that represent the vibrant cities that they occupy, showing the possibilities that the world's most famous luxury house can provide.
He added that like an elegant suit, some of the most appealing Bespoke touches found in a Rolls-Royce are invisible to anyone but its owner. Or they may uncover themselves only by chance to the audience, like the colourful lining of a jacket exposed by a gust of wind as these vehicles momentarily come to a halt in the city.Read the entire article Rolls-Royce pays homage to South Korea with bespoke Ghost and Wraith special editions
It has long been known that when the rules start to stifle creativity, there will always be individuals that will have the vision to move everything forward. In Great Britain, this has resulted to the invention of two particular institutions.
This is the sport called rugby and the one-of-a-kind Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. In honor of the wonderful history of this game, the company’s Bespoke Design Studio located in Goodwood, England, has come out with the ‘Wraith – History of Rugby’ for the Rolls-Royce.
The ‘Wraith’ is the company’s way of celebrating England’s great love for the game. This expression of individuality served as the inspiration that resulted to the Rolls-Royce and rugby. Rolls-Royce has long been known to show the individual preference and lifestyle of the customers, especially those in the new generation.Read the entire article Rolls-Royce shows love of sport with ‘Wraith – History of Rugby’ bespoke edition

Moreover, the new side sills give the vehicle a lower and longer visual stance, while the air extractors located behind the front wheel arches complete the look.
At the rear, there is a new bumper and a new subtle spoiler made of clear-coated carbon fibers. The design is completed by the 22-inch Spofec SP1 wheels, which are tailor-made for the Wraith. Behind the wheels, there is a new Spofec carbon-ceramic high-performance braking system with vented discs which measure 405 x 30 and 395 x 38 mm.Read the entire article Spofec does the 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith

Rolls-Royce's newest supercar model, Wraith, is out to conquer the famous Goodwood Hillclimb during the Supercar Run of this year's Festival of Speed. Wraith is considered as the most powerful and dynamic Rolls-Royce in history, thanks to its mighty engine that provides up to 624 bhp/465kW of output and 800 Nm of torque from 1,500 rpm, allowing the supercar to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.
The Wraith will be competing on a familiar ground, as the Home of Rolls-Royce is just within sight of Goodwood House. Aside from Wraith, a number of Rolls-Royce features will also be present at the 2013 Festival of speed.
For instance, the carmaker's ‘Works Team’ that took part in the 1800-mile Centenary Alpine Trial two weeks ago will be there. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is hoping to boost its sales in Russia with its sporty Wraith model. The ultra-luxury carmaker sells an average of 100 cars annually in Russia and is aiming to posting another sales gain after doubling it in 2009 with the launch of the Ghost, Rolls-Royce chief executive Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes told Bloomberg in an interview in St. Petersburg.
The ultra-luxury carmaker recently opened a dealership in St. Petersburg -- Rolls-Royce Motor Cars St. Petersburg – to add to its two existing retail centers in Moscow. Mueller-Oetvoes remarked that demand for Rolls-Royce‘s ultra-luxury vehicles should offset outweigh a bid by Russian lawmakers to increase taxes for cars costing over RUR5 million ($154,700).
The starting price of a Rolls-Royce in Russia is at around RUR13.9 million. On May 21, 2013, Russian lawmakers initially approved a tax increase for luxury cars in the first of three readings. Approval of the measure could mean almost a two-fold increase in luxury car taxes after Jan. 1, 2013.Read the entire article Rolls-Royce is banking on Wraith to boost sales in Russia
Wraith, which is Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ latest model and regarded as its most powerful and dynamic model ever, has recently made its debut in the UK. It will be seen for one week at the window display of luxury department store Harrods in Knightsbridge, London. Present at the launch last March in Geneva was Torsten Müller-Ötvös, the CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
He said that Wraith offers the sense of adventure and speed that motivated its founding forefather. Like other Rolls-Royce, the Wraith provides luxury, refinement and quality. It is for this reason that Rolls-Royce chose Harrods, also a foremost older of these traits, for the UK debut of the Wraith.
According to Harrods Media Sales Director, Guy Cheston, Harrods is ‘delighted’ to host the most eagerly awaited car to be released in 2013. He added that the Rolls-Royce Wraith, with its outstanding luxury, style and innovation, is sure to attract its global clientele.Read the entire article Rolls-Royce Wraith makes its UK debut in Harrods window
Rolls-Royce has just confirmed that it will offer a convertible version of the Wraith but still, do not expect it very soon as the new drophead coupe version could take some time. According to CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos, who talked with AutoExpress, the Wraith convertible will arrive in the next couple of years. Despite the rumors, Rolls-Royce is not considering making an SUV.
For those who don’t know, Bentley will offer an SUV based on the EXP 9F Concept, but it appears that Rolls-Royce will focus on the convertible version of the Wraith and the replacement for the Phantom.
The next-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom could also offer a plug-in hybrid powertrain as CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said that “plug-in is definitely the direction to go in”. Apparently Rolls-Royce wants to make this move because theirs cars must have the ability to pass legal requirements that could force people to drive their cars only in EV mode in city centres.Read the entire article Convertible version of the Rolls-Royce Wraith officially confirmed
A GPS-based system on the upcoming Rolls-Royce Wraith can help in shifting its ZF eight-speed automatic transmission based on satellite data that can detect changes in road conditions. This fastback is expected to make its debut in the last quarter of 2013. This system can distinguish the altitude, grade and road curves for a number of miles in front. CEO Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes said that the gearshift patterns are controlled to make sure that the car is in the right gear and maintains power.
In addition, data from the navigation system can be used to optimize the gear changes by forecasting the next move of the driver. Mueller-Oetvoes said that for instance, the car realizes that the car will have to shift down because it will exit the autobahn in 100 meters.
A Rolls-Royce engineer who was working for BMW's Formula One team had developed the satellite-aided shifting technology. Mueller-Oetvoes said that Rolls-Royce is the first to get the system but it may appear in future BMW vehicles.Read the entire article Rolls-Royce Wraith using a GPS-based system to change gears
