Ginetta has confirmed that it will be taking part at Salon Privé 2013, tagging the G40R and the G60. The British marquee -- which boasts of more than 50 years experience in race engineering and racing -- will display at Salon Privé 2013 two cars that demonstrate Ginetta’s diversity in terms of car production.
Hand built in Yorkshire, the Ginetta G60 is known for its design features and performance specifications. The G60’s lightweight carbon fiber body and 310-bhp engine combine to allow the car to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in just 4.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 165 mph. To live up with one of the main themes at Salon Privé 2013, several of technology used in creating the G60 is bespoke in nature.
For instance, the suspension of the G60 has been entirely designed in-house by Ginetta’s CAD team. Likewise, the ECU and harness wiring are customized for improved reliability. Model car maker Pocher has confirmed that it will bring it newest toy car for exhibit at the 2013 Salon Privé. Pocher started to make a name for painstaking detail and high quality model cars after unveiling the first 1:8 scale kit of the Fiat 130HP at the Milan toy fair in in 1966. The model car maker also created scale kits for vehicle like Mercedes Benz 500K, Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 and a Ferrari F40.
These model cars were available up to 1998, when Pocher released its final model, the Porsche 911. Pocher joined the Hornby Group in 2004, but remained in the sidelines until December 2012, when Hornby disclosed the “resurgence of a legend” in the coming year. The 2013 Salon Privé will be Pocher’s second excursion with the new Aventador LP700-4 1:8 kit.

Icona will unveil its Icona Vulcano super sport in the United Kingdom in September at the famed Salon Privé. Created in 2010, Icona launched the Fuselage electric concept car, which was a finalist at the 27th Festival Automobile International in Paris in the World’s Most Beautiful Concept Car contest. Icona then designed and developed the two-door, two-seater Vulcano, which had its global debut in Shanghai earlier this year.
This September, this enticing ultra-high performance car could be viewed for the first time in the UK. Powered by an exhilarating V-12 Hybrid that provides up to 950 hp of pure output, the Icona Vulcano could accelerate from zero to 120mph in less than 9 seconds, allowing it reach a top speed of 350 km/h.
The Vulcano was engineered by former Scuderia Ferrari technical director Claudio Lombardi. Icona sales director David Bagley remarked that they are delighted to choose Salon Privé for the UK debut of the Vulcano. He described the Vulcano as "beautiful car" which would look fantastic within the Concepts & Prototypes Display. Salon Privé and the Royal College of Art have released exclusive designs that will become part of a new feature for this year, the ‘Concours of the Future’ exhibition. The ‘Concours of the Future’ will feature designs created by a group of undergraduate students at the RCA’s Vehicle Design program.
They are tasked to take a look back at some historic Concours-winning cars and re-design them for the modern world. The new work will be unveiled at Salon Privé on September 4, 2013. Judging of the 11 new designs will occur on September 5, 2013.

Salon Privé has released the lineup details of this year’s luxury super car event slated on the first week of September – the biggest ever in its eight year history. Confirming their participation so far for the 2013 Salon Privé are luxury super cars from Clark Abel, Futura Design, Spyker, Vencer, and Zagato as well as brand new models from Bentley, Maserati, McLaren, Rolls-Royce and Startech.
According to its Web site, Salon Privé is the United Kingdom's premier 'boutique' motoring event comprised of the British Super Car Show, Chubb Insurance Concours d'Elégance, Chubb Insurance Tour d'Elégance, The Concepts & Prototypes Display, Boodles Ladies' Day, The Hyper Car Collection EFG Private Bank Art & Memorabilia Fayre and a Luxury Brands Village. At this year’s Salon Prive, Trident will bring its all-new Iceni Grand Tourer. According to the well-known British sports car maker, the Iceni Grand Tourer is built to order in Norfolk and priced from £75,000, but what’s more interesting is that the vehicle features the patented Torque Multiplication technology.
Thanks to this, the car has a top speed of almost 200 mph and can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. What is even more interesting is that the car is powered by a mid-front mounted 6.6-litre turbo-diesel engine, capable to run on mineral diesel, bio diesel, palm oil and linseed oil.
This engine delivers 430bhp and a staggering 950lbs ft of torque at under 3250rpm, but can be upgraded to 660bhp and 1050lbs ft of torque. The Renovatio T500, the Slovenian super sports car built by Tushek, will be launched in the UK on September 5 at Salon Privé. It’s the first time for the UK market to witness the Renovatio T500, which is a lean, light and technologically advanced super sports car that was created to offer top road and track performance.
The Renovation, which is priced at €300,000, is hand-built and is made to order. Its 4.2-litre 444bhp V8 engine is sourced from Audi and can accelerate from zero to 62mph in 3.7 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 193mph. The T500 is the first model to come from new Slovenian super car maker Tushek. It is light weight mid-engined and is produced using the most sophisticated components designed for racing.
Racing driver Aljosa Tushek, the company founder, created the Renovatio. Tushek’s philosophy in building vehicles stems from a pure, direct, sensual driving experience. Jaguar will be displaying its XKR-S, XK Special Edition, XJ Ultimate and XF Sportbrake vehicles at the upcoming Supercar Show and Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance at Salon Privé. Salon Privé 2012, which would take place on September 5 to 7, 2012, at Syon Park, London, has been tagged as bigger and better, as it is targeted to contain more exhibitions and previews from the worlds of luxury -- automotive, aviation, jewelry, marine, horology and technology.
For the event, British luxury carmaker will be showcasing only award-winning and world-renowned premium models. One of these vehicles will be the XKR-S convertible, which holds the Sports Car of the Year title from Auto Bild, a German motoring magazine.
The XKR-S convertible could accelerate to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds on the way to achieve a top speed of 186 mph.
