Just last week, on October 5 and 6, Lamborghini opened two new dealerships in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and in Sterling, Virginia, respectively. The company’s CEO Stefano Domenicali attended both lavish events. The company decided to expand to prepare for the launch of the Urus performance SUV that will soon be available in the North American market.

Tesla has launched its second store and service center in the United Kingdom, located right at Park House, Horton Road, West Drayton, UB7 8JD. Tesla’s newest store in the UK features a Model S design studio, a seven-bay service area, and the country’s first purpose-built two-bay delivery center.
The new retail center is bound to offer Model S owners a free shuttle service to the Heathrow airport, which is just located nearby. The retail center will be the second store Tesla has put up in the UK after the first one in Westfield White City.
But Tesla is not stopping there. The EV maker is setting and service facilities in Crawley, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Newcastle, and Edinburgh until the end of 2014, thereby allowing customers to visit Tesla wherever they are. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London Stansted (P&A Wood) opened its state-of-the-art showroom in Great Easton, Essex to the public on June 1, 2014. The opening was attended by over 2,000 customers, friends and honored guests.

McLaren Automotive is expanding in Scotland with the opening of McLaren Glasgow later this year. The site will be the carmaker’s fourth location in the United Kingdom after London, Birmingham and Manchester. McLaren Glasgow – to be operated by Park’s Motor Group -- will be offering the carmaker’s full range of high performance sports cars, including the McLaren 650S Coupe and 650S Spider.
McLaren Glasgow will be located in Bothwell Road in Hamilton, close to Glasgow city centre. The site’s location -- situated close to junctions 5 and 6 on the M74 motorway – makes it easy to be accessed for sales and servicing needs.
The state-of-the-art showroom is set to be completed by end of 2014 with official opening planned for December. While the construction is ongoing, Park's Motor Group will provide a temporary facility for sales and aftersales from the end of May. Audi has launched a "digital" showroom on Berlin's grand Kurfuerstendamm boulevard as part of a shift by luxury carmakers to display vehicles virtually while moving into smaller city center locations to entice young affluent consumers.
Audi’s showroom, while only a quarter of the size of a conventional dealership and with a display of just four models, enables busy city customers to view and configure cars from the carmaker’s entire lineup using multi-media screens, without needing to go out of town. German rivals BMW and Mercedes-Benz are also pursuing similar sales strategies seen as anovel way to attract new customers. "Staging the brand is becoming so much more important," Audi's head of Germany sales, Wayne Griffiths, told Reuters.
The Berlin digital showroom is Audi's third, following those in London and Beijing. German carmakers like Audi are challenged by the scarce spaces in urban centers where they could display their full model and technology portfolio. Aston Martin will open a new dedicated showroom in Mexico City in the first quarter of 2014, thereby expanding its reach in the Americas. Aston Martin Mexico City’s new 4,500-sq.ft showroom located in the in the upscale Polanco could house Aston Martin sports cars. It features a customer reception area and a new car gallery finished in Aston Martin’s distinctive corporate identity.

Customers in the Nordics aching to get their own McLaren cars now do not have to go far to acquire their units as McLaren Automotive has officially opened a retail store in Stockholm, Sweden. McLaren Stockholm, which is being operated by sports car specialists Autoropa, was announced in 2012 and marks the carmaker’s continued expansion of its sales network in Europe.
McLaren Automotive chose Autoropa in 2012 to represent the British brand across the Nordic region as McLaren Stockholm. The carmaker’s latest retail outlet started selling the McLaren 12C in June 2012. Autoropa is a fully serviced importer and seller of exclusive sports cars with showrooms and service workshops in Stockholm and Malmö. Autoropa is also one of a select group of companies to be an authorized service partner for the McLaren F1 supercar.
David Brimson, McLaren’s Automotive Regional Director for Europe, remarked that they are pleased to officially open McLaren Stockholm as well as provide opportunity to customers in the Nordics to experience McLaren and discover the its philosophy. Infiniti has launched its first showroom in Hong Kong, marking the next step in the carmaker’s mission to establish a strong presence in the former British colony. In 2012, Infiniti moved its global headquarters to Hong Kong, a city that provides an excellent gateway to China. Volkswagen is updating its showrooms across the United Kingdom to ensure up-to-date, modern and useable space for customers and staff. The projects include a number of relocations to new purpose-built sites, which are designed to enhance customer experience. Volkswagen has 210 retailers across the UK, 49 of which have already completed their showroom updates.
Another 70 retailers are set to complete their revisions by the end of 2013. Despite the revisions, all the sites are business “as usual.” Feedback from customers and staff says that any temporary disruption was worth it. The updated showrooms could now display at least 10 new Volkswagen cars while having enough space for waiting and refreshment areas, merchandise and accessories plus WiFi.
The showrooms now have ample parking spaces as well as modern state-of-the-art workshops providing suitable aftersales support for all Volkswagen cars. Audi has opened the second of 20 planned digital showrooms aimed at impressing urban customers with an interactive experience that could not be offered by brochures and machine coffee at the standard dealership. The new Audi City in Beijing follows the opening of the inaugural London showroom in 2012, keeping to the same format by allowing customers to view configured cars on floor-to-ceiling screens.
The Audi City showroom, however, reduces traditional dealer functions like the test drive. Audi’s largest rivals – BMW and Mercedes-Benz – are also opening digital showrooms.
BMW opened in 2012 its first Brand Store on an upscale Paris shopping street, saying it will announce similar showrooms later this year. In September 2012, Mercedes-Benz opened its inaugural Visionary Store in a shopping arcade in Milan, featuring the new A class. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has officially launched its third showroom in India, allowing the carmaker to slowly but surely increase its presence in the country. The showroom is located in Hyderabad, India, and was opened following the appointment of Kun Motoren Private Limited as authorized dealer to represent Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Hyderabad.
The 5,400 square foot, three-car showroom features carefully custom-crafted lounge where customers could decide on the details of their Rolls-Royce car. Paul Harris, Asia Pacific Regional Director for Rolls-Royce, expressed excitement in working with Kun Motoren as their dealer partner in Hyderabad.
Harris remarked that establishing a new retail facility will allow the carmaker to reach customers with the same high standards available elsewhere in India. With the success that Audi’s pioneering store in Piccadilly, London, got during the first six months, it’s only to be expected that it will build more versions of its digital showroom in the UK and in other countries. At this showroom, visitors can digitally view the entire Audi lineup as well as look at the exact specs they put in the car through the big computer screens that occupy a lot of space at the showroom.
