Soon, the current generation of the Ram 1500 will be saying goodbye. Nonetheless, it will all end on a sweet note as the American truck maker wouldn’t let the vaunted full-size pickup truck go without a bang. Thus, Ram is introducing the special-edition 2018 Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport.
This isn't the first time the Ram offered a vividly colored special edition of the Ram 1500 Sport pickup truck. In late 2016, the American truck maker created and offered the Ram 1500 Ignition Orange special edition. This year alone, Ram introduced Sublime (Green) and Copper Sport limited-edition trucks. Of course, the Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport won't be the last special edition that Ram would offer, but it would be the final model in the 2017 model year.
Wrapped in water-like blue exterior paint finish, the 2018 Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport is laden with a number of special features as standard. These include a black-decaled Sport performance hood, a new body-colored Sport grille with black billet inserts and black R-A-M letter badge. Other special features include the flat black exterior body-side and tailgate badging. This black body badging is complemented elegantly by black bezel projector headlamps up front and tail lights employing LED technology on the rear.Read the entire article Ram’s aging full-sized pickup bids adieu with 1500 Hydro Blue Sport special edition

Day after day, we hear something new about the Lamborghini Aventador. The Italian supercar manufacturer has built a total of 7,000 examples of the said model in the six years that it has been in the market. Aside from being one of the most expensive supercars one can buy today, it definitely is one of the best too, and the company promises to make it even better as technology improves. Lamborghini’s chief commercial officer, Federico Foschini recently confirmed that new and even more special versions of the Aventador will come to the market in the next couple of years.
In an interview with CarAdvice, Foschini said that he loves the Aventador so much that he does not want the nameplate to die. He then said that “the time will have to come”, but he does not specify whether this will be sooner or later. Furthermore, he said something that got a lot of people even more excited. He said that the Aventador will have more surprises for us. Again, he does not specify what these will be. He did joke however that he will be murdered if he leaks the information he has.
Today, the most powerful Lamborghini Aventador that we know of is the Superveloce, and it had already been sold out. Under its hood is a naturally aspired 750 horsepower (552 kilowatts) V12 engine with as much as 508 pound-feet (690 Newton-metres) of torque. This engine works with a seven-speed Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) transmission distributing power to the wheels. As for the performance, it can quickly do the 60 mile per hour sprint (96 kilometers per hour) in only 2.9 seconds.Read the entire article Future editions of Lamborghini Aventador will keep naturally aspirated V12 but expect surprises
Last month at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, we witnessed the debut of the refreshed S-Class Coupe and Cabriolet. And finally, Mercedes-Benz has begun taking orders of these models in Europe, and deliveries will begin in January next year. But apart from that, we got another surprise from Mercedes-AMG as they revealed a limited S63 Coupe 4Matic+ Yellow Night Edition. And this unique model will only be available for six months, with a starting price of 202,121.50 euros ($237,688).
The automaker did not just come up with random names for these models, and the reason why it has the word “night” in its name is because customers can get the version of the S63 Coupe finished in either Selenite Grey Magno or Night Black Magno. The “yellow” in its name, on the other hand, refers to the yellow trims it will get on the mirror housings and the brake calipers. The S63 Coupe then gets a set of seven set double-spoke black wheels.
Obviously, this is more than just the paint job. The Yellow Night Edition was designed with the Aerodynamics Package that comes with a larger front splitter and lip spoiler on the trunk. The aerodynamic parts are finished in high-gloss black, but customers can get the Carbon Fiber Package if they prefer these parts to be made of carbon fiber. The coupe also gets a set of stripes that stretch along the lower edges on both sides of the car.Read the entire article 2017 Mercedes-AMG Coupe 4Matic+ Yellow Night Edition costs $237,688
As the gift-giving season approaches, Neiman Marcus wants to relieve some of the buyers’ anxiety by releasing its holiday season’s shopping catalogue. Yes, it’s that time of the year once again and while the Halloween parties have not even started yet, the very posh department store wants to make sure that this early, the filthy rich people have their minds made up on the two special items from its catalogue. After all, who wouldn’t want to get a Rolls-Royce Dawn for a present?
If love means to give and take, Neiman Marcus is offering two bespoke Rolls-Royce Dawn this season--- one “for him” and one “for her” (or “yours and mine” to be exact). The 2017 look book is basically a showcase of gift ideas for the coming holidays. It also happens to be its 91st edition. With a design that featured the “Saint Tropez Dawn” and the “Lago di Como Dawn”, both Rolls Royce and Neiman are able to brilliantly display this year’s most special gifts on the wish list.
To tell the difference, the Saint Tropez’s exterior features an orange shade while Lago di Como is in the shade of blue. The “orangey” Saint Tropez’s interior is a mixture of open pore Canadel wood, seashell leather and shades of chocolate and bright oranges. The Coniston blue convertible meanwhile comes with dark brushed metal dashboard trims instead of wood. Its interior mostly consists of Selby grey and black leather, but then both cars will be featuring silver bonnets and silver top fabrics.Read the entire article Rolls-Royce Dawn Yours and Mine Edition tops 2017 Neiman Marcus Christmas catalogue
A few years ago, Lotus tried to take on Porsche. They had a five-car plan to go against competitors like Ferrari and Aston Martin. Though it did not go well, Lotus is still around anyway. After releasing the Elise Cup 250, the Elise Sprint and the Elise Sport 220, Lotus has something newer and more unique.
Lotus has been releasing a number of special edition models. And one of their newest projects would be the ultra-exclusive Elise Cup 260. The automaker will only build 30 examples of this in the world. It is a race-inspired car that was made with fancy aerodynamics to give the car extra downforce - that is 396 pounds (180 kilograms) at 151 miles per hour (243 kilometers per hour).
To keep its weight down, Lotus built the car with a number of carbon fiber parts throughout its body. In fact, even the seats were made of lightweight material, while the engine battery has also been given a lightweight lithium-ion unit.Read the entire article 2018 Lotus Elise Cup 260 Special Edition is a race-inspired model built for the road

The BMW 7 Series is already highly sought after but nonetheless, the German marque is giving it a more exclusive variant for the Russian market, and they are calling it the 7 Series Individual Edition Black Ice. It’s only available on orders. The special edition features a ton of unique features inside and out, making it truly stand out from the rest.
The Black Ice name was derived from the model’s Frosty Black metallic finish. And it is not just your typical black paint. It has got a unique painting technology that gives it transformative properties. This is because the base metallic paint is coated with a special matte varnish. So under the right lighting, its 7 Series’ silhouette is amplified with its unique shine.
Apart from the distinct paint job, the BMW 7 Series was built with an aerodynamic M Sport package. This package has a double grille design, gloss black door handles, and a gloss black boot lid. To complete the exterior design, the Black Ice 7 Series now sits on a set of 20-inch BMW Individual V-spoke 649s with different sized tires, and of course, a body kit by M Sport. The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has been around for quite some time now but to bid it farewell, the company has launched the Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition. Mercedes will only build a total of 65 examples of the Final Edition, which will be sold worldwide. And each of them will come with a price tag of 310,233 euros (around $368,000).
To make it look exclusive and high-end, the SUVs will feature bronze accents on the exterior - from the 21 inch wheels, the bumpers, front grille surround, mirrors, to the center section of the spare wheel cover at the back. Both sides of the body get a high-gloss black trim in the protective strips, and the grille up front now gets a black mesh center.
Inside the Final Edition’s cabin are a number of upscale features like the black nappa leather that covers the seats, and the carbon-fiber-like finish for the seat bolsters. To give it some contrast while keeping it looking high-end, Mercedes gave the diamond quilted center sections bronze stitching. Furthermore, there is a light brown weave that highlights the carbon-fiber trim throughout the interior. Heated and ventilated seats will ensure the comfort of passengers when the climate changes.Read the entire article Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition will be limited to 65 examples only, each one at $368,000
Mini recently announced the newest version of the MINI, the limited-edition Blackfriars. It took inspiration from a historic portion of London, and it will exclusively be sold in France. Customers will only be able to get the three-door or five-door Hardtop model through the end of the year.
For a little bit of backstory, it was the robes of the Dominican monks who were living in that section of London that were given the name Blackfriars. And as mentioned earlier, this is where Mini took inspiration from. Therefore, the special edition Mini gets a matte black trim on both the B- and C-pillars. But those are not the only bits that are finished in matte black as this finish is also seen on the turn signals and Blackfriars badges. What finishes off the exterior look would be the 17-inch Cosmos Spoke wheels with dark accents.
The special edition Mini comes with some useful tech as well, such as automatic headlights and electrically folding mirrors.Read the entire article French buyers can now get their hands on this special edition MINI Hardtop Blackfriars
For the past 15 years, Lexus has been conducting a research into butterfly wings. And this study resulted in a special paint job from the Japanese automaker. It is so complicated that the paint alone requires 12 steps and 20 quality inspections. We will first see this on the LC 500 Structural Blue Edition, that creates an iridescent look on the grand tourer.
The company was inspired by the Morpho butterfly, which gave them this particular shade of blue. Lexus says that unlike conventional finishes where the paint reflects just under 50 percent of the pigments, this shade reflects almost 100 percent. The tiny pigments let the vehicle produce an ever changing shade of blue. The only downside is that this is not apparent in photographs, which is why you cannot really appreciate it in these photos.
When Lexus first came up with this shade, they had to use 40 layers of paint to let it produce this effect. However, after years of study, they were able to reduce this down to only 7 layers - now making it more feasible for production models.Read the entire article Butterfly-inspired iridescent Structural Blue paint appears first on Lexus LC 500
Ever since, Porsche has had an impressive history when it comes to endurance racing - having several wins and a lot of memorable finishes. But three of the most important ones for the company were in 1970 with Richard Atwood, 1982 with Derek Bell, and 2015 with Nick Tandy. To celebrate the success of these British drivers, Porsche developed a unique 911 Carrera special edition that fans will definitely drool over.
The 911 Carrera 4 GTS British Legends Edition is made exclusively to honor the performances of Attwood, Bell and Tandy, as well as the vehicles they used when they took the championship, including the 917, 956 and the 919 Hybrid LMP1. Each of them won at the Le Mans 24 hour race. The 911s were developed at the Porsche headquarters in Stuttgart, and it was Porsche Great Britain that developed the unique 911s for the UK.
Each one of the 911 has their own unique number and livery that represents the driver’s winning Porsche racing car. The livery and cabin both have the Union Jack symbol displayed all over them. What’s new with the 911 are features like the Satin finish black door mirrors, carbon floor mats with Alcantara edging, and Alcantara steering column casing.Read the entire article Special edition Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS is released in honor of British racing legends

As we all know, the Acura ILX has been out in the market for quite some time now - since 2012 to be more specific. And of course, to keep it alive, Acura had to come up with a unique trim they call the A-Spec Special Edition trim. This new trim will cost you $28,900, and includes a number of new features. It is already available in the United States.
Some of the upgrades include side sills, a deckled spoiler, unique badging all over and a new set of 18-inch A-Spec wheels. Apart from the new upgrades, the Acura ILX offers the same standard features including the Acura JewelEye LED headlights, an eight-way power driver’s seat, a multi-view rear view camera, five-inch multi-view display, keyless smart entry with push button start, security system and a leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. BMW’s Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe is no doubt one of the most desirable models out there considering that it comes with almost the whole package. From a head-turning exterior design, impressive power, practical features, and an upscale interior. Depending on how you are feeling, it can be sporty when you want it to be, or it can be the most relaxing cruiser to drive you out of the city without breaking a sweat. And since the Alpina has been pretty successful since it first came out in 2014, the company joined forces with BMW again to create this special edition B6 Gran Coupe.
This one-of-a-kind model has been given quite a lengthy name as the “BMW Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe BMW CCA Edition”. This model was especially made for an upcoming raffle that had been organized by the BMW Car Club of America. On the outside, it wears a signature Blue Metallic paint that represents Alpina, matched with a lovely white leather interior with piano black accents all over.
There is more to the four-door grand tourer’s interior. There are a number of silver inscriptions against a high-gloss lacquer finish on the center console too, while the steering wheel is hand-finished and comes with white stitching details to complement the seat upholstery. This is also why the Alpina B6 gets white piping on the floor and a set of trunk mats. To finish off the look, Alpina put B6 embossed logos onto the headrests.Read the entire article Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe BMW CCA Edition was made as a raffle prize
The BRZ may be one of Subaru’s best-selling cars, and it seems like it is also the automaker’s favourite. The reason why I said that is because the Japanese car maker has just revealed another variant of the BRZ, the STI Sport. The special edition model will have some extra updates here and there, and will only be sold exclusively in Japan. Subaru Tecnica International signed this latest project and said that whoever gets behind the wheel of this fun-to-drive sports car will experience “pure handling delight”, as it delivers superior handling and ride quality compared to the normal BRZ. This model will make its debut at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show just a month from now.
Just because it is a Sport trim, does not instantly mean that it will have more power. In fact, it does not. However, it does get the same exclusive suspension tuning and body rigidity that all BRZ versions have. The STI Sport trim is currently the highest specification of the coupe to date and that it will be available in a bespoke Cool Grey Khaki paint. Being the range topper, it is natural that it gets additional tweaks in and outside the car.
Those who are interested in the BRZ STI Sport can already sign up at Japanese dealerships. However, unlike regular vehicles, it will not be sold on a first come, first serve basis. The company will hold a lottery, and will randomly select names of people who will be eligible to purchase one. We should find out more about this as the automakers announces the procedure and the full mechanics of the lottery at the Tokyo Motor Show on October 25.Read the entire article Subaru BRZ STI Sport Special Edition will soon arrive at 2017 Tokyo Motor Show
The Fiat 500L may not be as adorable as its smaller Fiat 500 sibling, but a lot of people do find it more appealing. However, to keep the small SUV interesting, Fiat came up with the City Cross Edition, which gives it an overall, more rugged look.
The City Cross edition will only be available in Europe, and it will include physical changes like a bigger bumper, new skid plates, a refreshed grille, and suspension that has been increased by an inch (25 millimeters). It now comes standard with a set of 17-inch alloy wheels, and customers will be able to choose from nine colour options. One of them would be the Sicilia Orange finish that you can see in the photo.
These colours are not just limited to the exterior, as buyers can opt to extend colour customization to the cabin. This includes an enveloped dashboard fascia that they can get in either black or white. Furthermore, they get also get black fabric seats that have the “500” logo stitched on the backrests for a sportier feel. This is what Fiat meant when they refer to “further customization options” - personalizing the car inside and out.Read the entire article Europeans can now get the City Cross Edition of the Fiat 500L
A few years ago, Subaru came out with the S207 limited edition in Japan, and it was marketed as the more powerful version of the WRX STI. This year, the Japanese automaker decided to do the same thing, but gave the performance sedan even more power this time, and they are calling it the WRX STI S208. Similar to the last one, this will only be exclusive to Japan, only 450 examples of the special version will roll off the assembly line too. Do not be fooled as it is not just the exterior and the interior that got some enhancements, but significant changes have also been made.
To improve the overall driving experience, the WRX STI is now made with a carbon fiber roof to lower the center of gravity, while also cutting down some of its weight. For even better agility and control over cornering, Subaru and STI worked together and gave the sporty sedan’s suspension some tweaks.
Though the Japanese automaker did not specify, they mentioned that the S208 will have an improved output compared to the S207. Though my guess is that it would have just a little less than 400 horsepower. Just for some reference, the previous model had a 323 horsepower turbocharged 2.0 liter engine with 318 lb-ft (431 Nm) of torque - that is a little more than the newly released 2018 WRX STI Type RA, which is actually available in the United States. The said model also has a carbon roof, and under its hood, a 2.5 liter unit producing 310 horsepower and 290 lb-ft (393 Newton metres) of torque.Read the entire article Subaru S208 is a beefier version of the WRX STI
Were you ever a fan of the Audi RS4 Avant or the RS5 Coupe? If you were, we have something even flashier for you - that is if you are the kind of person who likes to stand out of the crowd. It is the all new Carbon Edition for both high-performance models. Instantly, you would think of a massive weight loss, but that is not all because the vehicles will also come with an RS sport exhaust and matrix LED headlights.
Given that name, we would expect the models to have a body that has been given carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) components. True enough, certain parts including the front splitter, side sills, rear diffuser insert and mirror caps have all been swapped with carbon fiber. There is also some noticeable carbon fiber trim on the interior and the engine cover. The RS5’s roof has been replaced by this, saving it a total of 6 pounds 10 ounces (3 kilograms).
Other than the carbon fiber bits, the Carbon Edition also includes a few other accents to add some style to the car. The radiator grille on the front fascia now has a matte aluminum finish, and matte titanium materials can be found on the Quattro logo as well as the window surrounds. To finish this off, the windows had been given a darker tint as well.Read the entire article 2018 Audi RS4 Avant and RS5 Coupe get Carbon Edition bodywork
