Sportec develops SP580 program for 2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo

For the 2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo, Swiss tuner Sportec has developed the SP580 program. The vehicle now features an ECU-remap that gives the 4.8 liter V8 turbo an output of 580 PS (427 kW / 572 bhp) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque over the series' 500 PS (368 kW / 493 bhp) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft). This enables the vehicle to go from zero to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds compared to the series' 4.7 seconds.

Top speed also gets a boost to 285 km/h (177 mph) from the production model’s 278 km/h (172 mph). The Cayenne Turbo has been fitted with a stainless-steel rear muffler and 90 mm tailpipes while the brakes are fitted with 6-piston calipers at the front axle and 4-piston calipers at the back.

Both have ventilated discs. The vehicle features a set of in-house 22-inch Mono/7 forged wheels in 10.5 x 22 dimensions with 295/30 ZR22 Michelin tires.

APS of Brackley has announced that there is a new performance upgrade for the 2009 onward models of the Audi S5 quattro coupé and cabriolet using the 3.0-litre supercharged, V6, TFSI powerplant.

APS, which imports Swiss Sportec range of exclusive vehicle enhancements in the UK, said that Sportec’s S5 performance enhancement package is labeled the ‘Stage One’ upgrade, a free flowing air filter element and an ECU remap.

These result to the power levels of the supercharged 2995cc Audi engine, with peak power rising from 328 bhp at 6000 rpm to 425 bhp at 6640 rpm, a considerable gain of 97 bhp. Similarly, Sportec’s

Sportec presents 858 bhp SPR1 T80

SPORTEC has announced the latest addition to its 997 range of supercars, the T80. The Swiss tuner, famous for its ultra high performance SPR1 range, planned and constructed the new version in Switzerland.

Built a step above, the T80's bi-turbo, 3.6-liter, 24-valve, flat six T80M engine is increased to 858 bhp. In combination with the permanent four-wheel drive feature, the T80 is a picture of poise and performance.

Each of T80's wheels channels 214.5bhp to the tarmac, similar to having a VW Golf GTi on each tire, but at the same time the bi-turbo engine is still fully Euro IV emissions compliant.

Car tuners are currently turning their attention on the Vw Scirocco, the newest version of which comes from the Swiss high-end tuning firm Sportec. The tuning program for the Scirocco includes optimization of performance, sports suspension, stylish wheels and engineering components that aim at general enhancements.

The original power yield of 200hp from the 2-liter gasoline unit after optimization is now available from 240hp to 350hp. Maximum torque for the top variant was improved from 280 to 480Nm.

The combination of engine electronics with a stainless steel exhaust along with a turbocharger from Sportec, a charge-air intercooler and revised fuel system have together enhanced the car's performance level.

The Geneva Motor Show will be the platform upon which Sportec will showcase a totally potent car derived on the Porsche (997) 911 Turbo model called the Sportec SPR1 M. Making the SPR1 M highly exclusive is the fact that only be 10 of these cars that will ever be made.

The totally rebuilt vehicle now comes with carbon fiber material for its main components guaranteeing a very high power/rate ratio. It will come with the T80 M powerplant that can produce 858hp (631kW) and 880Nm of maximum torque.

Although performance numbers are not yet available at this time, basing from the preceding variant of the car, the SPR1, which could generate only 800hp (558kW) can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 3 seconds, from 0-200km/h in 8.6 seconds and 0-300km/h in 18.9 seconds.

Sportec’s move to use a sports air filter and a newly programmed engine control in a 2010 Audi S4 Avant prodded the vehicle to get over the 400 PS mark with its 333 compressor-PS. The Swiss tuner applied its techniques to push the vehicle to get a full 425 PS rather than the standard 333 PS from its three litre V6 compressor.

Revising its electronics raised its torque to its maximum. So instead of 440, the maximum has been increased to 520 Nm. This boost is significant in the driving dynamics. The standard Audi S4 is capable of accelerating from a standstill to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds but the Sportec RS425 can do this in only 5.2 seconds.

Top speed is unchanged as it is electronically limited at 250 km/h. But Sportec made other upgrades too. The vehicle was given a special sports silencer with four end pipes as there will be two pairs on either side. These generate a sportier sound. Braking power is assured with a braking system on the front axles that has been enlarged to 380 millimetres.
