Aftermarket add-ons now available for the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

Dodge Challenger SRT Demon owners are in for a special treat after Dodge has recently announced that it is making their cars extra special by offering exclusive aftermarket car accessories. Included in the collection are some fancy car covers, a leather-bound track manual and the optionally available street tires for drag performance enthusiasts.

The Pirelli performance tires which come in the sizes of 305/35ZR20 will be wrapped on the 20-inch standard wheels that suit the Challenger Hellcat’s Widebody set-up. The package is only offered on the Dodge Demon which is available for purchase through Mopar Performance Parts and Accessories. Given that the stock drag radials may also be prone to damage especially in colder climates, having an extra set of high performance tires is not far from being a necessity.

Among the aftermarket products currently available are Mopar’s rear seat delete package which gives the owners the option to remove the rear seat if they initially availed the Demon to come with the rear seat. This may sound simple but the package offers all the necessary parts and hardware that would have been used in the first place had the customer chose the Demon without the rear seat ready.

With all the hype surrounding the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, it seems that it will be one of the most successful vehicles from the automaker even before it hits the production line.

Dodge never doubted that people would be lining up to purchase the 840 horsepower (626 kilowatt) muscle car. But now, the automaker is pleased to reveal that the Challenger SRT Demon is getting so much attention that its capability to attract customers has trickled down to the other mainstream versions of the Challenger.

FCA's North American passenger car brands said to The Detroit News that the first ever Demon has not been built yet, but the public has been talking about the car since January this year. A Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is seen running amok in the streets of Pittsburgh from the new Pennzoil ad. “Exorcising the Demon”, as the video title shows, features Rhys Millen and the 840hp Dodge Challenger SRT. To some it may appear as if the high performance synthetic oil brand only wants us to marvel at how the American muscle car can actually drift and perform stunts. Still, the video is incredibly thrilling to watch. It leaves no doubt that it is indeed a stunningly powerful car.

The first part of the video was shot in what looks like a church where all of a sudden there are Pennzoil containers mysteriously falling off the shelves. At some point, you will see a shadowy figure (or what must be a guy wearing a hood) before the video finally takes you to the real action.

The Demon will be seen flying off the bridges and going down an empty tunnel in what seemed like a Hollywood action film. With the 840hp 6.2-liter V8, we think the Demon has more than enough power to drift and drag anywhere it pleases. Overall, Penzzoil effortlessly demonstrates the wild side of the Demon though it is actually designed for the drag strip.

Hagerty is named official insurer of 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

Good news for 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon buyers, as insurance company Hagerty will make sure they are covered. The company will be offering an insurance package for the owners across the United States and Canada, numbering 3,000 for the U.S. group and 300 for those in Canada.

Just like with any other vehicles that Hagerty covers, Dodge Chalenger SRT Demon owners will get the same Guaranteed Value policy. This means that from the time the policy has been issued, the vehicle’s value will depend on how much it has been used or driven, and will not be established only when the car gets into a collision. By doing so, this eliminates negotiations and arguments over what the car’s value will be in years to come.

Tim Kuniskis, the Head of FCA’s Passenger Car Brands in North America, said that they want to ensure that the owners of these cars have the insurance they need to feel safe whenever they bring the car out on the street. And so Demon owners will be able to make the most out of their car’s performance.

Apparently, the Demon’s tires are built at the plant that builds Chargers and Chrysler 300s. The problem here is that the Demon’s 315 millimeter tire is too wide to fit on the line at the plant.

According to Dodge, the Challenger SRT Demon could be availed at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $84,995, which already includes a $1,700 gas guzzler tax. However, this amount doesn’t include $1,095 in destination charges. At this price, a customer already has access to a number of standard features distinct to brand’s performance halo. Moreover, all customers are treated to a one full-day session at Bob Bondurant School of High-performance Driving (Chandler, Arizona), which is the Official High-performance Driving School of Dodge/SRT.

The new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Demon V8 engine that delivers – as standard 808 horsepower of max output and 717 lb.-ft. of peak torque – as mated to TorqueFlite 8HP90 eight-speed automatic transmission. Brembo lightweight high-performance brake system with two-piece rotors and SRT Demon-tuned three-mode Adaptive Damping Suspension (ADS) are also provided. Nikita has a pretty wild imagination, judging from all the designs we have seen from him. Now, his convertible SRT Demon here is designed with a soft top that folds flat behind the rear seats. Though it looks physically awesome, we feel like the SRT does not really need this feature considering its current speed. If you are not aware of the stats, the Demon is capable of reaching 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in just 2.3 seconds with its 840 horsepower engine, and has already been banned for on-road driving. If we take out the roof of the Demon, a huge portion of its weight will be cut, meaning that it will be able to reach a quarter of a mile in sub-10 seconds.

Jeep has shown just how powerful the Grand Cherokee SRT truly is. Considered to be one of the brand’s top-performing vehicles, this model managed to beat the Hot Rod Coupe, fitted with the HEMI engine, in a quarter of a mile drag race done at the Santa Pod Raceway in the U.K.

Driven by none other than UK’s very own drag racing champion Stuart Doignie, the Grand Cherokee SRT crossed the line in 13.5 seconds beating the Coupe, with Kelvin Dunn inside, by 0.9 seconds. Not that surprising really since it is powered by the HEMI 6.4-liter engine. With Doignie’s skill, the engine was able to deliver 468 hp with acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds. For the quarter-mile stretch, the Grand Cherokee SRT was able to cover it in under 14 seconds.

Doignie said that he was truly captivated by the Grand Cherokee SRT’s speed and raw power. He added that while he been behind the wheel in a number of dragster vehicles running at the Santa Pod, this is the first time he has been in a model that was made for the road. It is extremely quick off the line, he said further.

Well, we think we have the probable answer to that enquiry. Only last week, Tim Kuniskis had spoken with Road & Track and mentioned that the muscle car will cost below $100,000. Isn't that a good start?

During the interview, Fiat Chrysler’s Head for Passenger Car Brands explains that although the starting price will be more expensive than the standard HellCat, the SRT Demon would still fall under the six-digit figure. In that case, if the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat comes with a $64,000 price tag, the Demon’s asking price will be more or less $35,000 higher—still a lot less expensive than a Tesla Model S P100D model that comes with a starting price of $135,000.

The Demon boasts a menacing 840 horsepower under the hood. That said, customers can also benefit from its very swift 0-62mph 3-second acceleration as compared with other cars in the market. After months of continuous teasers and worldwide hype, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles let loose the insane 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon that blew up the audience's minds in the 2017 New York Auto Show the past week. Fresh off its release, a lot of Dodge Demon renders are also grabbing the netizen's attention including the X-Tomi Designs' render.

Graphic designers at X-Tomi Design gave us an initial peek through with their unique take on a chop top Challenger SRT Demon, and it is actually looks dashing. The American automaker has not yet released a convertible variant of the new gen Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, but by far this render by X-Tomi Designs takes the cake. However, the approach to the Dodge Demon is more of an aesthetic makeover and didn't really cater to a power boost of any kind. But we really aren't worried, since the Dodge Demon is already a speed maniac from the start.

The Demon can hit up to 60 miles per hour in just 2.3 seconds, pulling 1.8G's with a 9.65 quarter mile drag time starting at 140 mph. Its 6.2 L Hemi Demon V8 engine can produce around 770 lb-ft f torque, and a higher rev restriction of 6,500 rmp. Still impressive as hell. The extraordinary novelties are still in place. These include the enormous hood scoop, the extra slim tires in the front, the extensive drag radials in the back and also worth mentioning are its flared fenders. Since only a single render image is made available, we can tell that its roof is looking to swoop all the way to the back of the convertible and is placed safely in the trunk.

Around 1:30 on a Friday Morning, Indiana State Trooper Alaa Hamed was tasked to monitor the roads at the side of the highway in the city of Gary, Indiana when he spotted a vehicle coming in hot with its speed intensifying as it came nearer to the Trooper, according to a press release by the Indiana State Police. The said State Trooper clocked the Dodge Challenger Hellcat at 158 mph on his rear facing radar, 151 mph as it swooped him.

The newly unveiled high powered American muscle - 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon also graced the halls of the Auto Show with its 2.7 L supercharger that produces up to 808 hp. But hoping to steal the spotlight from the Dodge Challenger SRT is the latest vehicle of the Trans Am: the 2017 Trans Am Super Duty.

The Pontiac label was put to its shallow grave after General Motors axed the brand in 2010 as a result of financial dilemma. But now the Pontiac's classic muscle car is given a second life in the form of the 2017 Trans Am 455 Super Duty. The previous Trans Am vehicles were modelled from the 5th generation Chevrolet Camaro and General Motor's Zeta chassis, now the newly unveiled Trans Am 455 Super Duty is probably the first unit ever produced that is molded around the sixth gen Chevy Camaro and the lightweight Alpha chassis.

The biggest asset of this beast of a vehicle is its 455 cubic inch (7.4 L) variant of the GM's recent generation V LT1 V8 engine equipped with a Magnuson TVS2300 supercharger that produces up to 14 psi of boost- which has 0.5 less psi compared to the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. Trans Am Worldwide further revealed that the engine of the 455 Super Duty was made in partnership with a still unnamed premier NASCAR engine builder hailing from Martinsville, Virginia. Turns out, our guesses would directly point to the Arrington Performance by the very own NASCAR racer and team owner Joey Arrington. A cold air intake and purely ceramic coated headers, with 3.0 inch of exhaust powers contribute to an impressive 1,000 hp and 1,046 lb-ft of torque: a 160 hp and 276 lb-ft more than the Demon's performance on gas and 192 hp and 329 lb-ft more than the Demon's execution on 91 octane.
