Subaru UK will cut the price of its Subaru XV compact crossover by £2,300, making the affordable model much easier to acquire. The price cut applies to every model in the Subaru XV range, which means a new XV could now be availed for a starting price of £18,995. The price cut could be due to a more favorable exchange rate between Pound Sterling and the Japanese Yen.
Thanks to its practicality, performance and fuel economy, the Subaru XV has won several accolades like the ‘SUV of the Year’ by 4x4 Magazine as well as industry recognition for its design and safety in Japan and the United States. The Subaru XV was also the best-selling car in Switzerland in August 2012. The Subaru XV comes as standard as an all-wheel drive.
The Subaru XV 2.0D boasts of a very good fuel efficiency of 50.4mpg in combined cycle and of carbon dioxide emissions of 146g/km. Its high ground clearance allows it to cruise off road, while its trademark low centre of gravity assures sporty handling on all roads.Read the entire article Subaru UK to cut price of XV range by £2,300

We have some good news for Mazda MX-5 Miata owners in the United Kingdom. The automaker recently announced an upgrade for the model which they call the Z-Sport model. Sales will begin on March 1 next year, but Mazda will limit production to only 300 units.
What’s included in the Z-Sport Edition, you ask? Well, it will give your good old Miata a beautiful Deep Cherry fabric roof, 17-inch black finished BBS wheels, and a Machine Grey Metallic body. The cabin will then be dressed in Sand coloured leather upholstery, and of course, the Z Sport logo will be present on the floor mats and door sills. To represent that the car is one of 300 examples only, it comes with a numbered plaque on the dashboard that displays its production number.
The Deep Cherry Red roof makes a beautiful contrast to the rest of the body’s darker paint and black wheels. The interior is a mix of two tone light beige and black that makes it look sexy. Lucky for UK customers, they get to own this stylish edition.Read the entire article This stylish new Mazda MX-5 Z-Sport Edition with a cherry fabric top is only available in the UK
Those in the United Kingdom may now order a new version of Skoda’s sports utility vehicle – the new Skoda Kodiaq Sportline. It will be slotted between SE L and Edition versions of the Kodiaq, and will have a starting price of £32,685 in the UK. It is now available to order, with first deliveries expected in February 2018.
As its name indicates, the Sportline trim just makes the Skoda Kodiaq look sportier. Featuring the same engine lineup as the Kodiaq, the Kodiaq Sportline is as powerful as its regular version. Most of the changes implemented involved sportier tweaks, although in terms of traction and safety performance the new Skoda Kodiaq is better because it comes standard with an all-wheel drive system. This technology allows the Kodiaq Sportline to be suitable even in rough terrain, a capability boosted by the fact that its ground clearance is higher than a regular Kodiaq (194 mm vs. 187 mm).
To differentiate the Kodiaq Sportline from the regular Kodiaq, the new version comes with a number of black design features -- grille, roof rails, wing mirror housings, and side window trims. Its protective side trims are specified in body color while its front and rear bumpers have been tweaked. Furthermore, the Kodiaq Sportline features a tinted rear window and rear side windows. Its profile is also marked by short overhangs and specially designed 19-inch alloy wheels (20-inch wheels are available).Read the entire article 2018 Skoda Kodiaq Sportline now available to order in the UK with starting price of £32,685
One of the best feelings a person would experience is driving a brand new car that came straight from the dealership, especially if its something like a Bugatti Chiron that you probably have worked hard for. Also, we are all aware that any car depreciates the moment we take it out for a ride - but not this one.
Finally, the very first “used” Bugatti Chiron in the UK has reached the market, and it looks like the previous owner is not going to lose money. But instead, he will earn another £1M ($1.32M) since he first purchased it. The car is currently listed at a specialist supercar dealer Romans International in Surrey, UK.
Today, the black car, which was one of the very first examples delivered in the UK, has a market value of £3.6M ($4.78M). That is £1.1M more than its original £2.5M tag price when it first came out. How lucky is the owner considering that this car has already been used. This example is also one of just 500 examples built for the Bugatti’s whole 10 year lifespan.Read the entire article How much would you pay for the first used Bugatti Chiron in the UK?
South Korean carmaker Kia will try to follow up the success of its Sportage compact sports utility vehicle by introducing a smaller SUV (subcompact) in the United Kingdom in the guise of the new 2018 Kia Stonic. The new Stonic – Kia’s first entry into the B-SUV segment – will be available in the UK for as a low as £16,295 starting October 23, 2017.
Underpinned by the same platform used on the latest iteration of the Kia Rio, the new Kia Stonic will be available in two different trim grades (Stonic 2 and Stonic First Edition) and three different engines (a 1.4-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.0-liter T-GDi turbocharged petrol unit and a 1.6-liter CRDi turbodiesel).
The Kia Stonic 2 trim could be powered by any of three available engines, with the version having the 1.4-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine (with output of 98 PS or 97hp) under its hood serving as the entry-level model. This base model – featuring a starting price of £16,295—is provided as standard with bi-function projection headlights, LED daytime running lights, cornering lights, electrically adjustable heated side mirrors, rear parking sensors, roof rails and 17-inch alloy wheels. It is also provided with 3.5-inch supervision cluster, multi-function steering wheel, a six-speaker sound system and all-round electric windows as well as remote locking, Bluetooth with music streaming and 60:40 split rear seats.Read the entire article UK sales of 2018 Kia Stonic B-SUV begin on October 23, priced from £16,295
Motorists in the United Kingdom who intend to purchase the new 2018 Hyundai Kona subcompact sports utility vehicle could start placing their orders on November 2, 2017.
Marked by Hyundai to target new customers and lure those preferring the Nissan Juke and Renault Captur, the new Hyundai Kona is slated to follow its cousin – the Kia Stonic compact SUV – into showrooms in the UK in the next few weeks. It will be available in the UK in five trims, with each higher trim more or less building on their respective lower trim. Two engines are available, although the higher-end mill is reserved for the top-end model of the Kona.
Lurking at the bottom of the range is the Hyundai Kona S – the base trim – with a starting price of £16,195 ($21,514). It is powered by a compact turbocharged 1.0-liter T-GDi petrol engine that could deliver 120 PS (118 hp) of max output and 172 Nm of peak torque. Returning emissions of as low as 117 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer, this highly efficient small capacity engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.Read the entire article Order books for 2018 Hyundai Kona open in the UK on November 2, base price is £16,195
Subaru is currently on fire. The Japanese automaker recently revealed to us the STI S208 as well as the BRZ STI Sport Edition that will both head to the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show next month. But other than that, they also announced that their three best-selling models, namely the XV, Impreza, and Outback will come in special variants wearing unique visual updates.
“Fun Adventure Concept” is what the XV will be embodying, and so Subaru is giving it new exterior features to give it better off-roading capabilities. It will be wearing a bright yellow paint with black accents like the cladding on the front fascia, side fenders and rear diffuser. It seems like the suspension had been adjusted to lift it a little off the ground. And the bike rack on the roof gives it a more off-road, or should we way rugged look?
If you are not into off roaders and prefer a more upscale model, you might find this Subaru Outback more interesting. Inside the cabin, it gets a higher-quality finish combined with the “ultrasuede” seats and panels and dark embossed silver accents. As for technology, it is now equipped with a new eight-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. On the outside, the grille has been made to look more aggressive, while new tires have been added to finish off the more luxurious treatment.Read the entire article Subaru’s best sellers get a special edition look for Tokyo
Guests at the luxurious Salon Privé supercar exhibit witnessed the return of legendary manufacturer Automobili Turismo e Sport as it holds the ATS GT’s official premiere last Thursday, August 31st. Presented at the event is the limited-run Italian supercar that drew inspiration from the first ATS 2500 GT of the early 60s. Carrying a $1.15 million price tag with only 12 units to be built, the new ATS GT Launch Edition is the company’s first production after being out in the limelight for more than fifty years.
ATS, or Automobili Turismo e Sport was first established in 1961 by Giotto Bizzarrini and Carlo Chiti together with some prominent members of the Scuderia Ferrari team. As former team members, its initial motivation was to beat Ferrari both when it comes to building track ready and road-going sports cars. Unfortunately, the stint only lasted for about two years and the company eventually gave up after releasing the ATS 2500 GT in 1963.
Moving on, the fabled company makes a pleasant comeback with the new ATS GT. Designed by ATS’ chief designer Emanuele Bomboi, each handmade GT supercar will be employing the most highly advanced lightweight engineering with materials consisting mostly of carbon fiber. Its design inspiration, the ATS 2500 GT, was a small coupe developed by co-founders Bizzarrini and Chiti and was built by Allemano according to the instructions of its designer, Franco Scaglione some fifty years ago.Read the entire article Automobili Turismo e Sport introduces the new ATS GT at Salon Privé
The UK it seems is about to take the same road as its neighbouring country France by banning sales of petrol and diesel vehicles beginning 2040. As reported by The Guardian, the move will help the government solve the nation’s major health concerns particularly those caused by the increasing levels of nitrogen oxide or air pollution. The UK government’s clean air plan is similar to what Nicolas Hulot, France’s environmental minister has announced earlier this month.
A spokesman for the British government explains how poor air quality is considered the biggest environmental threat to public health and is costing the UK about 2.7 billion pounds in productivity loss each year. To immediately resolve the current issue, the UK government has provided councils with new funding for the development of the local initiatives. Part of this 3 billion programme is the clean air plan that aims to clean up the air around Britain’s public roads.
After the sales ban of diesel and petrol cars, the UK government is planning to enforce additional solutions to manage the nation’s air quality. This will include replacing the engines of public transport such as the ones on the buses. In connection to this, many groups have once again expressed their support for the so-called T-Charge in London but it is too early to tell if the councils will be imposing such rules.Read the entire article UK government intends to ban sales of petrol and diesel cars by 2040
You can’t force people to acquire something that does not interest them. This is one mistake that South Korean automaker Hyundai won’t likely make again. It has been recently announced that the Genesis will be taken completely out of the United Kingdom market. This is because after several attempts of luring customers to purchase its vehicles, no one seems to be paying much attention. And that’s after the Genesis G80 sedan has been marketed as a worthy adversary to the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
The luxury brand hasn’t been selling a lot of cars in the UK, not even the original G80 sedan. In fact, in two years (since 2015), only about 50 units of the Genesis sedan were sold in England. That figure is a disappointment to the brand indeed.
First of all, people in the UK are generally more aware of the other two brands as they are based in Europe. Everyone probably knows of Hyundai, but not their sister company Genesis. This could be one factor that has been affecting their sales, as people have a tendency to go for what is familiar.Read the entire article The UK can now say goodbye to Genesis (Hyundai’s luxury brand)
Sorry Uber, but Handsome Cabs taxi company has something no one else can offer - a Lamborghini Huracan that can take their clients from Point A to Point B. This has been made official after the City of Lincoln Council granted a cab license to the Huracan, to make it available for hire if local residents wish to.
The two-door coupe is one of the first supercars to ever be granted a cab license - not just in the UK, but probably elsewhere in the world. This allows customers to order the Huracan for a trip to the train station, the shops, or any mundane errand. But what will be more practical is renting out the Lambo for weddings, business trips, or special occasions.
Handsome Cabs taxi is owned by John Bishop of West Lindsey, and his partner Jamal Parvez. The partners thought it would be something different, and that it would help their company stand out from the rest. They did mention that their target market would mostly be students going to and from proms, and of course, business people going to functions. “We had the idea about a year or so ago, and since then we’ve been determined to make it work”, said Bishop.Read the entire article Lamborghini Huracan Taxi will be available for hire in Lincolnshire
A few months ago, Lamborghini introduced the Centenario supercar. Since then, only eight units of the model were brought out by the company. And if you remember, we’ve already seen three of those examples: where the first one wore a combination of orange and black finish, the second one wearing a classic yellow and carbon fiber finish, and the third had a carbon fiber body though Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program, finished with blue accents - this one was a U.S. example.
This supercar, based on the Aventador, has been eagerly anticipated. To make everybody aware, the Centenario celebrates Lamborghini founder, Ferriccio Lamborghini’s 100th birthday. Having only 40 models built worldwide, 20 of those will be coupes, and the other 20 will be roadsters.
Each and every unit of the Centenario does have its own character, but we would say that the eighth one is the most unique of them all. Leading luxury dealer group, H.R. Owen has welcomed the supercar at its most famous Lamborghini London dealership on Saturday 27 May. What makes this Centenario unique from its other counterparts is that it wears a bare carbon fiber exterior combined with orange accents all over the body. This is currently the only example with this exclusive finish, and is the first of its kind in the U.K., making it a truly unique piece.Read the entire article Lamborghini Centenario is put on display at London dealership, set for delivery to HR Owen
An RHD (right hand drive) BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition has been listed to be for sale by Romans International, UK’s leading supercar dealership. Never before has BMW come out with a special edition model that is so closely related to motor racing.

If you’re selling some of the most expensive and most exclusive cars in the world, perhaps it would be a great idea to commission an ultra-rare work from the same marque to celebrate a new milestone. Perhaps, this was what H.R. Owen luxury dealership group had thought when it commissioned one of the most exclusive Rolls-Royce models ever built -- the Rolls-Royce Dawn Mayfair Edition.
H.R. Owen – through its Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London luxury dealership – decided to commission the Rolls-Royce Dawn Mayfair Edition as it celebrates its 85th anniversary this year. A global scale ransomware cyber-attack has caused several factories of Renault-Nissan Alliance to stop production on Saturday. According to Automotive News, the company’s spokesperson said they have administered “proactive measures” which led to the temporary shutdown of certain production sites. Reuters however confirmed the next day that regular work is slated to resume on Monday particularly in France.
Over the weekend, thousands of computers have been infected with WannaCry ransomware, spreading to almost one hundred countries worldwide. The French carmaker has particularly shut down its Sandouville plant in Northwestern France following the attack. The first sign of threat in Renault’s Sandouville factory occurred when the assembly line’s alarm didn’t work on Saturday. This happened shortly after a ransom demand appeared on their monitors.
Renault-Nissan failed to give a full list of the affected sites but a spokesperson from the UK said that files in Nissan’s Sunderland factory were hit on Friday evening. It didn’t however confirm if the Sunderland plant was shut down afterwards. The UK production facility has about 7,000 employees which manufactures the Infiniti Q30 and QX30, the Nissan Juke, Note, Qashqai and Nissan Leaf. In any case, Renault reassures that almost all factories will be opening today.Read the entire article Ransomware cyber-attack affects Renault’s production in France and the UK
When the Japanese automaker Honda debuted the 2017 Honda Civic Type R, global consumers then asked a very important question – how much will this majestic Civic cost? Honda has revealed the price tag of this recent release, but so far, only the official UK pricing info is available.
Honda Civic Type R recently set a new record for the fastest front wheel drive production car on the Nurbugring, clocking in a record setting lap time of 7:50.63.
