Techart Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo boosts power and style with GrandGT Supreme kit

The Panamera Sport Turismo is already an impressive car but German Tuner Techart and the Porsche specialists within the company plan to debut a special GrandGT kit for the upcoming 2018 Geneva Motor Show that is bound to enhance its appeal. After the upgrade called the GrandGT Supreme, the wagon now features an aggressive body and an opulent cabin.

Like the standard GrandGT kit, the version has a front bumper design similar to it but it comes with a hood that has a huge power bulge. The wagon now has a wider stance, thanks to the wider fenders and lower side sills. There are larger diffusers in the back that gain even larger strakes than the existing body kit. This wagon sits on new Techart Formula IV wheels, with five sets of double spokes, measuring at 22 inches.

To match the meaner look of this Sport Turismo, Techart can offer you a powertrain upgrade as well. The company’s engine upgrade can push the Panamera Turbo to have an output of 630 horsepower (470 kilowatts) and 664 pound feet (900 Newton metres) of torque. That is a lot more compared to the stock output of 550 horsepower (410 kilowatts) and 567 pound feet (769 Newton metres) of torque.

2017 Porsche Panamera gets a dose of GrandGT widebody kit from TechArt

After giving the Porsche 911 Cabriolet a new boost in performance, German automobile tuner TechArt is back once more with a styling kit for the new Porsche Panamera. TechArt’s GrandGT widebodykit as they call it will increase the four door sedan’s overall width by as much as 80mm at the rear and 50mm at the front.

Aside from the new front and rear bumpers, the tuning house has also included special accessories into the package. Among which includes a new sport exhaust system, carbon fiber quad tailpipes, a rear boot spoiler, rear diffuser and new side skirts.

For better variety, clients can further enhance their Panameras with a brand new set of 22-inch Formula IV alloys or with a new carbon fiber bonnet. Techart marks 30th anniversary by releasing gallery of its best Porsche aero kits and aesthetic packages

The German automobile tuner TechArt, which specializes in modifying premium sports cars especially Porsche, is now in its 30th year of service. Since the late 1980s, Techart has been an established name for an unmatched array of modification options at the most premium standards, and is also known for its undying passion in customizing roadsters—exclusively for the Porsche line up.

The tuning company was started in 1987 by Thomas Behringer and Matthias Krauss, with the main headquarters found in Leonberg, Germany. Techart is vastly considered as an independent car manufacturer and the company started out in Fellbach manufacturing premium interiors for different car models. Around that time period, Techart took a fancy to Porsche models, and successfully released its first ever body kit for Porsche 928 around 1987. Modifying something as fascinating as the Porsche 911 is considered a feat if done correctly, and only a few companies are willing to partake of this unforgiving task.

But a year after Porsche 928's modified body kit was released, an aero kit for the then current 964 model 911 was unveiled to the public eye. Techart's operation extended all throughout the 1990s and covered the divisions for sleek design and utmost performance in which the latter was released in 1995 with the C3 program on the 911 Carrera, which is built with a supercharge to produce an output of 462 hP.

TechArt’s latest project, the Porsche 911 Turbo itself, is a pretty awesome car to own. And it’s not only because of its powerful engine, and beautiful exterior design. However, some people just can’t get enough of what is already in the market. What do I mean by that? The German automobile tuner came up with an even more extravagant design, sans roof, calling this version the GTstreet R Cabriolet.

Some of the highlights of this car in terms of performance are its powerful engine with the capacity to deliver 720 horsepower (or 530 kilowatts) and 678 pound feet torque, allowing it to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in a mind-blowing 3.5 seconds, while proceeding to its maximum speed of 340 kilometers per hour (211 mph) -- that is even faster than a 911 Turbo.

The wonders of this car don’t end there. It has an adjustable rear wing just like the one on a GT2 RS that can tilt up to 15 degrees for an added downforce, allowing the car to travel faster. In fact, this model has the ability to produce 707 pounds (321 kilograms) of downforce at 186 miles per hour (300 mph) - this was proven when it was tested in a wind tunnel. These are made possible by its new aerokit that features an active spoiler lip, carbon front fenders, and carbon side skirts.

Techart has long been known for presenting a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S-based Magnum during the Essen Motor Show. Its bold campaign has not wavered for the 2016 show as the company has showcased a 720 HP Magnum Sport model.

That figure is not just part of the name but is the actual output making this version the most powerful among the world’s premium SUVs. In fact, one can say that it serves as the perfect challenger to the Brabus GLE 850, for example.

The package being offered right now includes components that have been improved with carbon fiber. Examples of these are the headlight trims, rear spoiler, roof spoiler, and trims of the side mirror. Looking closely at the trim of the taillight, one can clearly observe that it has undergone the carbon fiber treatment.

TechArt Automobildesign GmbH officially unveiled in latest offering, the GTstreet R. Based on both the 2017 Porsche 991 Turbo and the Porsche 991 Turbo S, this new model reveals a wide range of changes done compared to the 911 Turbo. However, it does deliver a downforce of 707 lbs. (321 kgs.) when running at 186 mph (300 km/h).

Moving further, customers are given the choice to have for the chassis the Noselift front axle lift system, which allows for extra ground clearance of 60 mm, or the VarioPlus coilover suspension that has PDDC connectivity. In addition, the chassis can be fitted with either the alloy 20-inch wheels or the 21-inch version.

While a sport exhaust system has been newly installed, it is integrated with a continuously variable pneumatic valve control, which can optimize the back pressure to fit the current load conditions.

This performance car can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and can reach a top speed of about 193 mph thanks to its lightning-fast seven-speed PDK transmission.
