Those in the United Kingdom may now order a new version of Skoda’s sports utility vehicle – the new Skoda Kodiaq Sportline. It will be slotted between SE L and Edition versions of the Kodiaq, and will have a starting price of £32,685 in the UK. It is now available to order, with first deliveries expected in February 2018.
As its name indicates, the Sportline trim just makes the Skoda Kodiaq look sportier. Featuring the same engine lineup as the Kodiaq, the Kodiaq Sportline is as powerful as its regular version. Most of the changes implemented involved sportier tweaks, although in terms of traction and safety performance the new Skoda Kodiaq is better because it comes standard with an all-wheel drive system. This technology allows the Kodiaq Sportline to be suitable even in rough terrain, a capability boosted by the fact that its ground clearance is higher than a regular Kodiaq (194 mm vs. 187 mm).
To differentiate the Kodiaq Sportline from the regular Kodiaq, the new version comes with a number of black design features -- grille, roof rails, wing mirror housings, and side window trims. Its protective side trims are specified in body color while its front and rear bumpers have been tweaked. Furthermore, the Kodiaq Sportline features a tinted rear window and rear side windows. Its profile is also marked by short overhangs and specially designed 19-inch alloy wheels (20-inch wheels are available).Read the entire article 2018 Skoda Kodiaq Sportline now available to order in the UK with starting price of £32,685

Czech carmaker is making fans of its CNG-powered (compressed natural gas) Skoda fall in love all over again by making the latest iteration of the Octavia G-TEC more powerful and travel farther than before.
Part of its range of eco-friendly CNG vehicles, the new 2019 Skoda Octavia G-TEC has gotten rid of the old 1.4-liter TSI engine. Instead, the latest iteration of the Octavia G-TEC will be powered by the Volkswagen Group’s new 1.5-liter TSI engine. This new mill with the larger capacity can deliver 96 kW (130 PS) of max output, making the new Octavia G-TEC around 15 kW (20 PS) more powerful than the previous model. Moreover, the 1.5-liter TSI engine is designed to be efficient, as made possible by the variable intake valve timing with Miller cycle operation.
When the 2019 Skoda Octavia G-TEC goes into CNG mode, its carbon dioxide emissions levels drops by 25 percent compared when in petrol mode. In addition, a CNG-powered Octavia G-TEC emits lower levels of nitrogen oxide (NOx) with zero particulate emissions. This allows the new Octavia G-TEC to be compliant with EU6d-TEMP emissions standard.Read the entire article 2019 Skoda Octavia G-TEC (CNG) has more power and longer range than predecessor
Of all automotive brands, the last automaker you could think to slap its badge on a convertible SUV, would probably be Skoda. But their new Sunroq is actually what that is - a droptop version of the compact Karoq, the latest concept to come from Mladá Boleslav. The concept actually began in October 2017 when a team of 23 students from Skoda’s own trade school got together to work on a one-off project.
Do not get us wrong though, because the automaker is not planning to chop off the compact crossover’s roof for a production version since the Sunroq will remain purely a concept car to demonstrate the skills of Skoda’s vocational school. These students are very talented and they took the roles of engineers and designers, but of course, actual professionals lent a helping hand during the development process of turning the Karoq into a convertible.
The Czech Republican crossover loses its model’s roof. However, they have kept the rear doors as well as the rear seats to maintain that high level of practicality you would expect from a Skoda. Of course, Skoda keeps it’s vehicle interesting, as you can see here, the automaker’s logo is projected onto the road by LEDs mounted underneath the concept’s front bumper. You can actually get those on the production Karoq where these are mounted underneath the front doors.Read the entire article Skoda Sunroq Concept is the convertible SUV we did not expect
