2018 Aston Martin DB11 Volante arrives with $216,495 price tag

As seasons change, temperatures rise and fall. The changes affect our preferences when it comes to driving cars. Therefore, Aston Martin introduces the new DB11 Volante or convertible, and it looks like a combination of the coupe’s gorgeous lines with a soft top that can be lowered in only 14 seconds.

When the DB11 is released in the market, customers will only have one option - that is the Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0 liter biturbo V8, paired to an eight-speed automatic that brings power to the rear wheels. Similar to the coupe, it enables the convertible to produce 503 horsepower (375 kilowatts) and 513 pound-feet (675 Newton-metres) of torque. A standard limited slip differential improves traction as well.

In just 4.1 seconds, it can finish the 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) sprint, before continuing to its 187 mile per hour (300 kph) top speed. Though it has the same maximum velocity as the coupe, the convertible is a tenth of a second slower to 62 mph.

2017 Kahn Vengeance Volante revealed at Geneva Motor Show

Following the successful launch of the original Vengeance at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Khan Design unveils a convertible version of the coupe this year – the Vengeance Volante.

The new vehicle’s bodywork will have a special front fascia featuring large black grille and vertical slats. As a special model, both its front and rear bumpers have been refashioned for it to become more distinct from its donor car.

Taking a closer look at the rear specs, apparent qualities of the Aston Martin DB7 Zagato can be seen such as sweeping streamlined curves and round shape taillights and outstanding trunk lid spoiler. The two-tone roulette-like alloy wheels with dimensions of 20 inches at the front axle and 21 inches at the back have been sourced from the sedan from where the cabriolet has also inherited the exhaust system with dual exhaust tips featuring crosshair design.

Kahn Design teases Vengeance Volante before official unveiling at 2017 Geneva Motor Show

When Kahn Design unveiled the Kahn Vengeance super coupe at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, it was nothing short of impressive, both in terms of looks and dynamics. The Kahn Vengeance coupe was essentially a derivative of the elegantly sporty Aston Martin DB9 coupe.

For this year’s version of the Geneva Motor Show, Kahn will be taking the veil off its own interpretation of the convertible version of the DB9, the Aston DB9 Volante. This interpretation is dubbed as the Kahn Vengeance Volante, and is essentially a droptop version of the Vengeance coupe. So far, Kahn Design has provided a single teaser image about the new Kahn Vengeance Volante – weeks before its official unveiling at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March. The teaser image shows the side profile of the Kahn Vengeance Volante. While the image was rather blacked out and displays only the silhouette Kahn Vengeance Volante, it surely tells a lot.

It seems that a good part of the Kahn Vengeance coupe still lives on the Volante version. We can even safely assume and say that the Kahn Vengeance Volante is just a chopped off variant of the coupe launched last year. In fact, basing from the teaser image, the Kahn Vengeance Volante still features the same old-school rounded taillights and the same roulette-style two-tone alloy wheels. Of course, there are quite a number of revisions made, aside from the removed hard-top roof. But overall, the image of the Vengeance Volante coupe didn’t entirely veer off from the Vengeance coupe. But it wasn’t really easy for Kahn Design to convert the Vengeance coupe into the Vengeance Volante.

Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante is a performance convertible with 603 PS of output

The Aston Martin Vanquish hasn’t changed much since it was unveiled in 2012. Until today, its elegant and athletic design continues to be a stunning head-turner. In fact, if you are new to the Aston Martin brand, you wouldn’t think that this form is nearly five years old. A year later in 2013, Aston Martin revealed the Volante or the convertible version of the Aston Martin Vanquish.

Now, the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante is receiving an “S” designation, which means that the latest model – the Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante – will be much superior in terms of performance, thanks to a number of improvements made.

As it is, the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante is already a powerful being. Its core is an all alloy quad overhead cam 48-valve 6.0-liter V12 front mid-mounted engine that sends 424 kW (568 bhp or 576 PS) of max output at 6,650 rpm and 630 Nm (465 lb.-ft.) of peak torque available at 5,500 rpm. Earlier this year, Aston Martin wowed the world with a stunning concept car – the Vanquish Zagato. The concept made its first appearance in May during the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Lake Como, Italy. It is another one of Aston Martin’s collaboration projects with Zagato that is seen to be at par with the beauty that was the 1960 DB4 GT. It is distinctly Zagato but it comes with certain flourishes that make it even more remarkable.

The Vanquish Zagato comes with a trademark double-bubble roof and a very imposing front grille that adds to its unique Zagato styling. It also comes with quad exhausts that help us hear the roar of its 5.9-liter V12 engine better. The Vanquish Zagato can make up to 600 horsepower, making it 27 horsepower more awesome than the regular Vanquish. To make the car even more special, it comes with supportive leather seats embellished with a unique “Z” quilting pattern.

Not long after the British luxury car manufacturer introduced the hardtop Vanquish Zagato, the automaker has once again made an appearance at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with another showstopper. Aston Martin once again wowed the crowd with an even more stunning masterpiece, the Vanquish Zagato Volante – a convertible version of the hardtop Vanquish Zagato.

Aston Martin introduced the Vanquish Volante, a new convertible that sits at the pinnacle of its lineup. Featuring a triple-skin lightweight fabric roof, the new car transforms from a coupe into a stylish convertible in just 14 seconds and at speeds of up to 30 mph. Regarding the design, we must admit that this is quite impressive as the new Vanquish Volante features elongated side strakes and LED rear light blades derived from the One-77 supercar.

The fabric roof sits beneath a tonneau and decklid that have been aerodynamically tuned for optimum performance. The new windscreen is not full height, which is a fisrt for Aston Martin and now the glass runs up to meet the fabric roof, thereby reducing visual 'clutter'. The interior features luxurious materials such as full grain Luxmil leather with optional quilting, Alcantara and satin chrome.

Each body panel of the car is made from carbon fiber and according to the official press release, this is not because of its high strength-to-weight ratio, but also for its flexibility of form.
