Later next month, Volkswagen plans to finally reveal the third generation or 2019 model year Touareg at Beijing, China. This is actually earlier than the initial plan, which was to debut the car in April. A couple of months ago, we saw spy shots of the SUV without its camouflage, which suggest that these are probably what we should expect from the production model. And now, the automaker published a single sketch that looks pretty much like the vehicle we saw in the spy shots.
The automaker’s goal for the 2019 Touareg is for it to have a more expressive design with an “unmistakeable appearance” that also has a strong character, according to Klaus Bischoff, Head of Volkswagen Design.
According to Volkswagen, their plan for the Touareg is for it to be the automaker’s flagship product in terms of design, while offering cutting edge technology. Though the automaker does not share a lot of details regarding these systems, the sensors we see on the spy shots indicate that it will have a sophisticated suite of driver assistance aids. The automaker promises that the SUV will be boasting the largest digital instrument display in its class as well, and this will be called the Innovision Cockpit. The Touareg is supposed to highlight new features that we have never used before, with its new type of infotainment system.Read the entire article Teaser sketches of 2019 VW Touareg show sharper, more muscular form
Earlier this month, Volkswagen’s annual meeting took place at its hometown in Wolfsburg, Germany. This year’s meeting was focused on the company’s business plan they call “Transform 2025+”. This plan is solely based on hybrid and electric vehicles.
Aside from providing updates on its hybrid and electric vehicles, Volkswagen also addressed what their agenda is when it comes to new models arriving in the next couple of months. And it seems like they have a handful of models arriving sooner than we thought. For instance, they just reconfirmed that the company will begin production of the all-new Polo next month, meaning that in the next coming weeks, photos of the supermini will probably be circulating around the web.
That’s just one of the few models VW will put in production. The T-Roc compact crossover, which is based on the Golf, will also hit the assembly line for the EU market as early as August. So in the next few months, we will finally see the brand new T-Roc with its covers off. The company also said that the compact crossover will be sold in the United States by 2019. The factory to build the T-Roc will be based in Palmela, Portugal.Read the entire article VW announces production dates for the Polo, T-Roc and Touareg this year

The first one delivers 204 hp (150 kW) and due to the addition of the standard 8-speed automatic transmission, fuel consumption was reduced from 7.0 to 6.6 liters of diesel per 100 km, with CO2 emissions of 173 g/km.
The second version of the V6 TDI engine was boosted from 245 hp (180 kW) to 262 hp (193 kW) and thanks to the new 8-speed transmission fuel consumption falls from 7.2 to 6.6 l/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 174 g/km of CO2.Read the entire article 2015 VW Touareg Facelift receives a more powerful, yet fuel-efficient V6 TDI engine

Volkswagen could sell its CrossBlue mid-sized sports utility vehicle in Europe as a complement for the Touareg SUV already sold in the region. VW showcased the four-seat CrossBlue Coupe concept this week at the Los Angeles auto show, after unveiling it at the Shanghai auto show in April.
VW unveiled a seven-seat CrossBlue concept at the Detroit auto show in January. Zietlow began his 23,000-kilometre journey in Melbourne, Australia and hopes to finish it in St. Petersburg, Russia in just three weeks
Bringing with him additional equipment like a roll-cage and an extra fuel tank, Zietlow hit the road on July 27, 2012, and is expected to experience different climates, temperatures, humidity and weather as well as different altitudes. The 2011 Volkswagen Touareg TDI is touted as the diesel model that may be the most successful at convincing Americans to make the switch. This large SUV offers impressive fuel economy while still being able to retain its European sophistication. Americans have not exactly been as eager to embrace these efficient engines like other parts of the world have.
But Volkswagen has high hopes for this redesigned and significantly improved Touareg, which is powered by a low-emissions quiet-operating 3-liter turbocharged direct injection (T-D-I) engine that has as much power but better fuel economy than gas-powered rivals.
It’s unfortunate that most Americans only see diesels as primitive engines that only appeal to farmers and truck drivers. What they don’t know is that diesel engines run at higher compressions, provide more torque, and its fuel gives more energy than gas.Read the entire article 2011 Vw Touareg TDI may be the best way to get Americans into diesels
