WIMMER Rennsporttechnik offers upgrade kit for 2015 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Estate

When it comes to upgrading a car’s electronic and mechanical parts, WIMMER Rennsporttechnik at Solingen is one of the few names that car owners trust. The company has been in the business, which includes clear chip tuning, engine and exhaust system conversions, for more than 20 years.

Not only are they good, they’re also compliant with MOT certification standards. Managing director Thorsten WIMMER and his team do their jobs in a 2,400 sq m. workshop. This sizable workshop is ideal for critical jobs involving engine aeration, exhaust systems, chassis techniques, sports clutches, braking systems or car accessories.

Currently, Wimmer and his team are working on an Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Estate. This beast has a horsepower of 510 HP, equivalent to 375 KW. Notably, the C 63 S already comes with superior accessories and upgrades. However, one of Wimmer’s tasks is to optimize the software.

Wimmer RS does the 2010 Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG

Tuning company Wimmer is offering a Level 3 engine tuning kit for Mercedes’ luxury sports saloon, the C63 AMG. It’s actually an unlikely choice as the stock vehicle’s power is already high.

Wimmer also gave this vehicle several custom touches to the suspension and exterior appearance. Dubbed the Wimmer Mercedes C63 AMG Performance, it delivers 580 hp and 690 Nm of torque.

The boost in power is due to the installation of a new air filter, exhaust and ECU remapping. The top speed is unchanged from the stock vehicle’s electronically limited 305 km/h (190 mph). Wimmer has given this vehicle a high flow air filter from K&M as well as a new optimized air induction system at their facility in Solingen, Germany.

Wimmer RS based on the Porsche 997 GT2 Biturbo

The German tuning specialist Wimmer Rennsporttechnik Solingen is well known for transforming production vehicles into faster and hotter machines. Currently their car of choice is the latest Porsche 997 GT2 Biturbo which came with 680hp.

When Wimmer RS was finished with it the power output was already 680hp and 870Nm make the car as appropriate on the race tracks as it is on the streets.

This boost in potency was reached via a bi-turbo unit, enhancement of the popwerplant management in tandem with two optimized turbochargers from Wimmer, a bespoke sport exhaust system from Wimmer that comes with two 100 Zeller sport catalysts, cylinder head development, sport camshafts, and a sport clutch system.

2009 Essen Motor Show: Wimmer RS Ferrari F430 Scuderia

At the Essen Motor Show, be on the lookout for the Ferrari F430 Scuderia that the tuners at Wimmer RS have been working on. Wimmer's refinement program is said to take the famous red sports car to a whole new level due to its striking sport characteristics and dynamics. Wimmer gave the car a specially developed power kit, which can be heard and felt.

The package consists of new Wimmer engine control software and sport valve exhaust system with remote control.

Fitted with the new power pack, the Wimmer Scuderia's 4.3L V8 petrol engine generates 38 hp more than the stock output of 483 hp. This makes the car achieve a top speed increase to 321 km/h.
