Seat Ibiza comes with its latest FR variant that features several innovations in contrast to preceding models, which all harmonizes to offer a more thrilling driving sensation. The brand new model comes with an efficient 150hp twin charger 1.4 TSI power unit.
This powerplant has greater elasticity, better performance and lower fuel consumption ratings and emissions levels and completely complies with EU-5 requirements, all of these due to its latest generation technology.
Coupled to the FR's potent powerplant is a 7-speed DSG gearbox with steering wheel shift paddles. Similar to the CUPRA variant, the gearbox has been developed with sportier programming compared to the 1.6 model found in the Ibiza lineup.
Moreover, with the addition of the XDS system come greater driving comfort and security. The XDS works in tandem with ESP and acts as a self-blocking mechanism to enhance performance with lost traction due to stopping the wheel that has lost its grip on the ground.
Featured in the new Ibiza FR design is its sporty appearance both on the interior and the exterior with fresh bumpers that offer a more aggressive look, highlighting front honeycomb slats and a chrome surrounded on the central grill in conjunction with the Arrow Design concept. Further features include silver colored door mirrors, 17 inch wheels, and the one sided twin tail pipe.
The vehicle's racing character is conveyed also in the interior with a specific instrument display that comes with the FR insignia, a fresh steering wheel with integrated DSG shift paddles and the upholstery of the seat design all bring about the sporty appearance of the FR.
The new car is also fitted with ESP, TCS+ EBA, ABS, Hill Hold Control, low tire pressure warning, driver and passenger airbags, head-chest airbag, trip computer, cruise control, climate control, CD radio with MP3 and 6 speakers and Aux-in connectivity, sports suspension and cornering fog lights, just to name some of the standard equipment that goes into the new SEAT vehicle.
