Pricing for the 2010 Acura ZDX is expected to be released in a few weeks. The Acura ZDX was officially released in this year's New York Auto Show but is set to go on sale only later this year.
The new model is developed by engineers in Ohio and manufactured in Alliston, Ontario, Canada. Powering the car is a 3.7-liter SOHC V-6 aluminum alloy engine that generates 300 hp at 6,300 rpm and 270 lbs-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm.
Due to this configuration, the car achieves a fuel consumption rating of 16 mpg (14.7 l/100km) city and 22 mpg (10.6 l/100km) highway.
Because of its premium model distinction, the car is equipped with a wide array of standard features including leather-accented instrument panels, sport-oriented leather front seats with heating and available ventilation, available Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition, AcuraLink Satellite Communication System with AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic and WeatherTM, and an available 10-speaker Acura/ELS Surround Premium Audio System.
Unique features that are sure to delight potential buyers include a new rearview camera system, Collision Mitigating Braking SystemTM (CMBSTM), Active Cruise Control (ACC) and a blind spot information system.
Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales, remarked that the new ZDK four-door sports coupe is like nothing ever seen before from the luxury brand as it fuses the best attributes of a sedan, a coupe and a sport utility. He added that the new ZDK should be able to attract an entirely new premium customer to the Acura brand.
The new 2010 Acura ZDK is the first vehicle that Acura has designed -- from start to finish – at its new Acura Design Studio in Torrance, California. Because of this, Acura's exterior and interior designers were able to better collaborate during the entire design process.
This newest offering from Acura is laden with deeply sculpted shoulders, strong character lines and sensuous curves – staying faithful to the original sketch by Michelle Christensen, which is Acura's first female designer. The new 2010 Acura ZDK is designed, developed and manufactured in North America.
