2010 Geneva Motor Show: Renault Clio Gordini RS

Article by Christian A., on August 29, 2010

Renault has introduced the Clio Gordini RS at the Geneva Motor Show, extending its range further. Essentially, the hatch is a Renault Clio RS.

Powering the car is the same 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, which produces 203 hp and 215 Nm. Customers can opt to have the engine mounted on a Sport chassis or on an optional extreme Cup one.

The Clio Gordini boasts a distinct personality; it has a Malte Blue color that features two heritage white stripes. Gloss black highlights are featured on the car's front bumper and rear diffuser. Its exterior mirrors and F1-inspired front ornament are dressed in white to create a contrasting image.

The hatch is designed with motorsport-style Gordini Series badges on its sides and it rides on black 17-inch alloy rims that come in a diamond finish.

The Gordini theme is seen liberally in the car's interior. We can find Gordini-badged Renault Sport seats finished in black and blue leather, a bespoke leather-covered steering wheel that matches the seats color theme and a Gordini gearshift knob.

The car also has features such as special stitching for the dashboard, a numbered Gordini plaque and Gordini floor mats.

Standard features for the Clio Gordini R.S. are a Carminat TomTom navigation system, cruise control, rain sensor, ignition card, automatic climate control and a fully disconnectable ESP system.
