Audi revealed the facelifted version of its A3 model. Audi made revisions to the entire range: the three-door variant, the Sportback, the Cabriolet and the S3. Audi will replace the old 102hp 1.6 liter configuration with the new 1.2-liter TFSI engine, which delivers 105hp and 129 lb-ft of torque (175 Nm).
The A3 model will be fitted with the start & stop system as standard, leading to a fuel consumption rating of 42.7 mpg (5,5 liters/100 km). The A3 was displayed at the Leipzig Show alongside the TT. Both will have minimal aesthetic revisions on the exterior as well as the inside.
The single frame grille has a glossy black finish, the same as the spoiler air inlets. Audi redesigned the rearview mirrors and it gave the 3-door version a new spoiler. Audi came up with new colors for the lineup and it also provided new rims for the Ambition trim.
For its interior, we see new aluminum surfaces and a new leather covered sport steering-wheel. The gasoline engine line-up consists of the 1.4 liter TFSI (125hp), the 1.8 TFSI (160 hp), the 2.0 liter TFSI (200 hp) and the 265hp 2.0 liter supercharged engine, reserved only for the S3.
Meanwhile, the diesel lineup contains the 1.6 liter TDI in two power options (90 and 105 hp), and the 2.0 liter TDI (140 and 170 hp). There will also be an eco-friendly version -- the 1.6 TDIe -- that will have an average consumption rating of 61.9 mpg (3.8 liters/100 km) and CO2 emissions of only 99 g/km. European markets will be able to get their hands on the upgraded Audi A3 at the start of the summer.
