2011 Fiat 500C by Gucci: details, photos and specs

Fiat will start to take orders for the 500C by Gucci this month. The convertible will be arriving at dealerships around the world starting this September. Fiat has high hopes for the convertible variant as the 500 by Gucci has already recorded 3,000 pre-orders. The campaign for the 500C by Gucci will include an original tour that begins on August 19. The vehicle will visit several places throughout Europe.

Gucci’s trademarks are featured all over the Fiat designer convertible, from the red and green stripes to the logos on the seats and wheel hubs. The vehicle will be offered in two body colors. Consumers can choose from white with matte chrome-plated elements or glossy black with shiny chrome-plated accents.

These two color versions will feature the same soft top, which is black and will have a distinct green-red-green Gucci web pattern. It will feature a set of 16″ alloy wheels to match the retro design of the citycar.

A double “G” logo in matching body color will be seen on the bug caps. The Gucci signature in italics is visible on the tailgate and on the door pillar. Its standard features include an automatic climate control system, seven airbags (front, side, window and knee), Blue&Me system integrated with rear parking sensors, car radio with CD-MP3 player and leather steering wheel with radio controls.

Similar to what was done for the sedan, Fiat’s 500C by Gucci will feature its own twist with regards to its advertising campaign as the car will be accompanied by none other than celebrated character model, Natasha Poly.

For certified Fiat dealers who will be in the exhibit, the 500C by Gucci will have a very exclusive lifestyle brochure. Unlike your usual booklet, this one has been designed to look like a fashion catalogue and even has photos enhanced to match the uniqueness and class of this amazing interpretation of the 500. For the exhibit, a copy of the 500C by Gucci will be placed on the stage and inside a 5x5-meter glass cube, giving the appearance of a previous jewel being guarded.

Both the floor and the ceiling will be in a glossy black paint. At night, the display will be lighted to give it that elegant ambience and to highlight not only the vehicle but the location as well. Completing the exhibit will be three small caskets where items that are part of the 500C by Gucci will be stored.

These include, among others, small leather goods, travel accessories, bomber jackets, tracksuits, glass, wristwatch, and pilot gloves. This exhibit is expected to occur before the 500C by Gucci will make its official debut in August at the sales network. It will not be in one location only as the 500C by Gucci will in fact be going around some of the best places in Europe.

The first stop will be in Saint Tropez, which will be from August 19-27, and followed by Berlin starting September 8-14. After that it will go to Spain in Barcelona from September 25 to October 2, and then cross the sea over to London where it will be displayed from October 16-23.

It will then go to Geneva by October 23 and stay until October 30. There will also be another exhibit which is focused on Italy. It will be in Forte dei Marmi starting August 22 until August 28. It will then proceed to Rome where it will stay from September 4-11, before going to Florence for September 19-26, and ultimately Milan by October 8-16.

Fiat present the new convertible and Gucci
