2011 Nissan Altima pricing announced

Nissan North America announced today the pricing for the new 2011 Nissan Altima, Altima Coupe and Altima Hybrid. The 2011 Nissan Altima Sedan will carry a base price of $19,900 and will be offered in three versions: Altima Sedan 2.5 CVT, Altima Sedan 2.5 S CVT ($22,060) and Altima Sedan 3.5 SR CVT ($24,740).

The base model comes with a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine delivering 175 hp while the Altima Sedan 3.5 SR CVT is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine delivering 270 hp. The 2011 model year Altima received a new Special Edition Package (Altima Sedan 2.5 S CVT).

Furthermore, three new exterior colors were introduced: Metallic Slate, Saharan Stone and Brilliant Silver. The 2011 Altima Coupe pricing starts at $22,940 and is offered in four versions: Altima Coupe 2.5 S 6MT, Altima Coupe 2.5 S CVT ($23,440), Altima Coupe 3.5 SR 6MT ($30,100) and Altima Coupe 3.5 SR CVT ($27,770).

The coupe version of the Altima comes with a choice of two engines: a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder and 3.5-liter V6 engines delivering 175 hp and 270 hp, respectively.

Refinements for the 2011 Altima Coupe are limited to two new exterior colors – Metallic Slate and Brilliant Silver. The 2011 Altima Hybrid is priced at $26,780 and comes with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and standard electronically controlled CVT with an advanced electric drive motor/generator.

Nissan Altima entered the 2010 model year with a restyled bonnet, grille and front bumper as well as new wheel designs and new exterior colors. Aside from the standard Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), the new Altima also boasts of revised interior fabric and finishers as well as revised option package content. For the 2010 model year, the Altima 3.5 SE designation is now known as the 3.5 SR.

Nissan designed the new Altima to provide an exciting drive and ride, as made possible by its driver-oriented cockpit, greater levels of performance, as well as a number of infotainment features. These include new available premium audio packages that like the Bose AM/FM audio system with nine speakers. The new Nissan Altima also comes with a 4.3-inch color display, USB port with iPod connectivity, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System and MP3/WMA CD-ROM playback, as well as XM Satellite Radio and RearView Monitor.

The Sedan, Coupe and Hybrid models of the new Nissan Altima could be specified with a next-generation Nissan Hard Drive Navigation System that includes a 6.5-inch VGA color touch-screen display, 9.3GB Music Box and advanced map data including speed limit advisories. The system also includes XM NavTraffic, XM NavWeather, Zagat restaurant guide, Bluetooth Streaming Audio, DVD player as well as an RCA input for auxiliary audio/video connectivity.
