Volvo Cars’ British division announced that it will introduce the new top-of-the-line saloon and sporty estate models, in the guise of the Volvo S80 Executive and the Volvo V70 R-Design. Obviously, the Volvo S80 Executive and the Volvo V70 R-Design are refined special versions of the Volvo S80 saloon and the Volvo V70 estate models, respectively.
According to Volvo, the S80 Executive and the V70 R-Design have been installed with the latest Volvo Sensus infotainment system. In Volvo Sensus, nearly everything that is being sought is presented on a five-inch or seven-inch color screen that can be seen in the upper part of the center stack. In April, the screen is placed high so that the driver is able to keep the eyes on the road.
The new Volvo S80 Executive is the first Volvo model to be given an instrument panel top in leather, offered in either espresso brown or off black.
Included in the interior details of Volvo S80 Executive are the following: ventilated soft leather seats with massage function, leather door panels, an integrated analogue clock on the instrument panel as well as the aluminum center console storage. The S80 Executive also received exclusively designed and very thick carpets.
The Volvo S80 Executive gets a luxurious ambiance from installing a fridge in the rear seat and displaying a set of Swedish crystal glasses.
On the other hand, the Volvo V70 R-Design has several unique exterior and interior design details. For the exterior, there are special design elements in the front, LED turning indicators that are integrated into door mirrors with silk metal covers and a diamond cut 18-inch wheel dubbed as the "Ixion.”
The interior of the Volvo V70 R-Design has leather upholstery trimmed in off black, leather around the gear selector, and black floor-mats with contrasting stitching.
Lex Kerssemakers, Senior Vice President Product Strategy and Vehicle Line Management at Volvo Car Corporation, said that these two cars – the Volvo S80 Executive and the Volvo V70 R-Design -- are designed to appeal to a rising number of consumers who like to customize their vehicles to suit their tastes.
Exclusive luxury is the phrase that comes to mind when looking at the Executive version of the S80. Meanwhile, its R-Design models are intended for buyers who want an “extra sporty look.”
