Pricing for the recently-introduced 2011 Volkswagen Touran MPV in Germany is now available. The more fuel-economic version of the Touran, the Trendline model with the 1.2 liter TSI Bluemotion gasoline engine that develops 105 hp, is priced from 22,400 euro.
Meanwhile, the gasoline Touran range, equipped with the 140 hp 1.4 TSI powerplant that comes with the Highline equipment level, is priced at 30,425 euro.
Diesel versions of the Touran are priced from 24,950 euro, which is what customers would have to pay for the Trendline model using the 1.6 TDI engine that offers 105 hp. The least fuel-economic version is the 170 hp 2.0 TDI model with the Highline trim level, which is priced from 33,400 euro.
The Volkswagen Touran is an eco-friendly vehicle, as all its engines use turbocharging and direct fuel injection to reduce emissions. The entire engine line-up complies with the Euro 5 emissions standard.
The vehicle's exterior is completely redesigned, with the doors being the only element shared with the pre-facelift model. The interior features "Golf & Co" styling, with white backlit instruments and fresh three-spoke steering wheels.
Customers select between a five and a seven seat configuration. To increase the luggage storage space capacity, each seat of the optional third row can be folded out.
