The advanced Audi A6 -- the A6 allroad Quattro – will be offered beginning next month with a starting price of £43,145 OTR. It has a very sophisticated electronic ‘brain’ and will be complemented by added brawn. The third generation A6 allroad quattro has a stance that’s customarily tougher and it also comes with a four-level adaptive air suspension as it makes its global debut.

Its deliveries will start in the spring. Audi reaped plenty of success for the first two generations of the allroad Quattro. One was launched in 2000 while the second one was launched in 2006.

Audi aims to enhance the latest version by giving it some extraordinary versatility with even higher efficiency that is demonstrated in fuel economy improvements of as much as 20 percent.

The latest A6 allroad quattro is six centimetres higher than the Avant. Its dimensions are length of 4.94 metres, width of 1.90 metres, and height of 1.47 metres. Similar to the saloon and ‘standard’ Avant, this model used the newest Audi ultra lightweight construction principles, with aluminum parts accounting for about 20% of its body. Its total vehicle weight was cut by up to 70 kilograms compared with the older model.

Among the highlights of this allroad quattro are the extended side sills, wings that are more widely flared, and vertical slats within the single-frame grille. The underbody at the front and rear of the car is protected by stainless steel guards and its exhaust system ends in two large, flattened tailpipes.

Double bars are used to mount the roof rails. A contrasting paint color is used on the wheel arches, bumpers and sills but if the optional aluminum exterior package is specified, it may have the same color as the body. The new A6 allroad Quattro may also come in the exclusive color, Java Brown.

A6 allroad quattro is 4.94 meters long, 1.47 meters tall, and 1.90 meters wide, making it slightly bigger when compared to the Avant. It follows the same lightweight construction that you see on Audi sedans, with around 20% of its body made out of aluminum. Compared to the previous A6, the new model is 70 kilograms lighter.

Moreover, the Audi A6 allroad quattro has a sporty look. It has sharp lines that frame the tight surfaces, a roof line that blends seamlessly into D-pillars, and balanced proportions. You can also choose LED technology for the headlamps and taillamps, while the xenon plus headlights can be paired with adaptive light that ensures proper lighting no matter what the road condition is.

The body

The new Audi A6 allroad quattro's body is placed higher by six centimeters when compared with the A6 Avant. Other differences from the previous model include the trim strips you see on the side sills, the grille that has one frame and vertical slats, and fenders that are now more widely flared. The underbody is protected by stainless steel covering while the exhaust system now has two flattened and big tailpipes. Double bars are used to mount the roof rails.

Painted with colors contrasting to the body color are the wheel well edges, the sills and the bumpers. You can enjoy the Java Braun color only with the new A6. The carmaker also gives you a choice of a full paint finish that you can match with the aluminium exterior add-on package.

Interior and storage compartment

Generous space awaits the customers, owing to the Audi A6 allroad quattro’s long wheelbase that measures 2.91 meters. What you inside are elements that are elegant yet lean styling while also well-crafted and ergonomic. The MMI operating system has added a function that hints at the pitch as well as aluminum soft keys. This system is standard to all new A6 cars, as well as the onboard computer that features the efficiency program. You can also enjoy several restraint systems that can help protect you in case of an accident.
