If the “standard” XJ is not good enough for you, Jaguar decided to offer an even more expensive version of its flagship sedan, the XJ Ultimate. Set to make its public debut tomorrow at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show, the new Jaguar XJ Ultimate promises to be firm’s modest expensive sedan ever produced.
Based on the long wheelbase (LWB) version of the XJ, the Ultimate is focused on the rear passengers and offers two separate, fully reclining seats as well as an aluminum folding table and space for serving champagne. By the way, a champagne fridge is located between the two rear seats and according to the manufacturer customers can refrigerate up to two bottles.
Moreover, the front seats offer two screens for the rear passengers but also two integrated iPads. In order to offer a high level of comfort, the Jaguar XJ Ultimate comes with a modified suspension, while the exterior received some minor tweaks such as a new set of wheels and new “XJ Ultimate” side badges.
The car uses a 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine, which delivers 510 hp, but it can also be fitted with the more fuel-efficient 3.0-liter V6 diesel. Pricing is expected to start at £125,000 or $200,000.
