Chrysler’s flagship, the new Chrysler 300C executive saloon, will start selling in the UK in June. Since the 300C was launched last year at the Detroit Auto Show, it has already received several awards. It is offered in two diesel-powered versions. The luxury saloon 300C Limited has a starting price of £35,995 OTR. It offers European-style quality and finesse, partnered with American-style comfort and high levels of standard equipment.
The new four-door car offers exceptional value for money and makes the 300C comparable to its benchmark competitors in the top-line luxury sector of the market. The 300C Executive has a starting price of £39,995 OTR.
Paying this amount gives the customer some pretty impressive features such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring system, forward collision warning, keyless entry, powered rear sunshade, and heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats.
The new 300C is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine that delivers 236bhp and 540Nm of torque. It has a fuel economy of 39.8 mpg (Combined) and has a CO2 emissions level that range from 185 to 191g/km depending on wheel size.
300C’s side profile has the unique proportions of its predecessor but with more refinement and a more tailored look. The car features the biggest standard color touchscreen display and the largest sunroof compared to others in the segment.
In addition, it’s one of the quietest vehicles ever built. It is safe and comfortable. The entry-level Limited version has the following as standard equipment: heated front and rear seats, load leveling suspension and height control, LED daytime running lamps, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, active head restraints, and curtain, side, front and rear airbags.
2012 Chrysler 300 Luxury Series is designed to be Chrysler’s most luxurious and most fuel-efficient flagship sedan ever, combining ultra-premium leather with world-class handling and refinement, state-of-the-art connectivity and safety features, and eight-speed automatic transmission. It also has a Pentastar V6 engine that generates a best-in-class fuel efficiency of 31 mpg on the highway.
Saad Chehab, Chrysler Group LLC President and CEO for Chrysler Brand, says that the 2012 Chrysler 300 Luxury Series is more than just their flagship car; it is also a reward for the tireless majority. He says that the car was designed to meet discerning expectations and was equipped with a paddle-shift eight-speed transmission that is normally used only on cars that are twice as expensive.
Moreover, Chehab adds, the new 300 Luxury Edition has high-grade Italian Poltrona Frau leather upholstery and finished with hand-sanded real wood that are used only in exotic cars. All these, he says, deliver a great combination of excellent style, craftsmanship, and technology, not to mention best-in-class fuel economy.
Additionally, the new luxury series further expands Chrysler’s flagship sedan lineup with a V6 engine option that is fuel-efficient. This is in addition to the top-of-the-range 300C Luxury Series sedan with its 363 hp 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine that features Fuel Saver Technology. Needless to say, the Chrysler 300 and the 300C Luxury Series are the brand’s most highly appointed sedans.
Chrysler’s 300 and 300C Luxury Edition sedans boast exclusive interior features, including instrument panel, center console side panels, cluster brow, and front-door and rear-door panels all wrapped in either Mochachino or Black Poltrona Frau "Foligno" leather. The center console, door armrest, and bolster are also covered in premium Nappa leather. The seats are also wrapped in supple Nappa leather in either two-tone Mochachino or black. The sedans also have 12-way adjustable and four-way power lumbar driver seat and front-passenger seat, as well as a two-mode ventilation and two-mode heated front and rear passenger seats.
