Ford unveiled today the all-new 2012 Harley-Davidson F-150, its latest truck which combines two iconic brans which appeal to truck owners and motorcycle enthusiasts alike. As you can see from the photos, the 2012 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 features a bold front fascia and six-bar billet-style bright chrome grille, comes with standard 22-inch wheels with painted accents and Harley-Davidson bar and shield logo on center cap. Moreover, the vehicle is painted in classic Harley-Davidson – Tuxedo Black and White Platinum Tri-Coat, which means that 2012 is the first year white has been offered.
Furthermore, we find new graphics on the bodyside of the truck executed in an unique snakeskin texture, inspired by tank inserts on premium-level Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The interior trim panels are covered in high-gloss Tuxedo Black paint, while snakeskin leather is found on the console lid and upper steering wheel.
According to the manufacturer, the 2012 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 offers plenty of technology options such as a standard 4.2-inch LCD (liquid crystal display), power moonroof, rear view camera, second-row heated seats, ambient lightning, Remote Start System, 110-volt power inverter and power-adjustable performance pedals.Under the hood we find the impressive 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engine delivering a best-in-class 411 horsepower and 434 lb.-ft. of torque and providing maximum trailer towing capability of 7,500 pounds.
The 2012 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 has a daring front fascia and a lustrous billet chrome grille with six cut bars for a more solid feel. It also features the Harley-Davidson badge, which is proudly displayed. The truck may have the standard running board, but it has a lowered look.
The 2012 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 also has the 22-inch aluminum wheels that feature the Harley-Davidson bar and shield emblem at the center along with painted accents. You can also choose from White Platinum Tri-Coat or Tuxedo Black for the paint, and these are the classic Harley-Davidson choices.
The body side of the 2012 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 has new elements that are made even bolder with its unusual snakeskin texture. “Harley-Davidson” lettering is also seen on the box side. That snakeskin design element is a throwback to the tank inserts that you find on more expensive Harley-Davidson motorcycles. And you could also see that inside.
F-150 Program Manager Mike Massara says that this is the first time the carmaker has fully made use of the full spectrum of dark to light for the exterior. The lines accent the design curve of the 2012 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 with the snakeskin texture making it even more beautiful.
Inside, you will surely appreciate the trim panels that are finished with high gloss black paint as well as the feel of snakeskin leather on the upper steering wheel and the console lid. The scuff plate also has the same texture with its brushed aluminum. All of these highlight the chrome surfaces that have a satiny and silky finish. You will also fall in love with the premium snakeskin seats that are trimmed with leather and that come with the cloisonné badge and accent color inserts.
The interiors are designed with the truck buyer who values attention to detail in mind. It certainly helps that this is what Harley-Davidson and Ford are known for.
For instance, check out the console lid and the seats where you would find hand crafted cloisonné badges that come from the same company that makes the Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The console also has serialization plates, where you could find the limited-edition truck’s VIN and build numbers laser-engraved.
And did you know that almost all of the people who worked on the Harley-Davidson F-150 own a Harley-Davidson?
The 2012 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 features a wide range of technology options that help the customers do what they need to do while also personalizing their truck. You have the 4.2-inch LCD productivity screen that comes in all 2012 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150, helping drivers get the full benefit of the truck’s capabilities.
Located between the speedometer and the tachometer, the LCD screen gives you a range of menu options, detailing all the important information you need on the drive, from towing performance to fuel economy. You can navigate through the menus using the five-way button you find on the steering wheel.
Additionally, the 2012 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 comes equipped with a standard voice-activated navigation system that integrates several functions, including speech recognition destination entry, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and climate control.
You can also opt for the SelectShift Automatic transmission, which comes standard for the truck. This transmission mode is activated by a toggle switch that you find on the console shift lever, giving you more control over transmission gear selection because the transmission does not override the driver’s input. In short, it gives the driver total control over the gear selection.
