Hyundai has unveiled the complete pricing, specs and insurance group ratings for the all-new Veloster, which will be available for sale in the United Kingdom in February 2012 for as low as £17,995 on the road. The vehicle has an insurance group rating of 16E. It will provide customers a high level of functionality, style and economy.
The Hyundai Veloster will be available in two primary trim levels -- Veloster and Veloster Sport. It is powered by an efficient 1.6-litre four-cylinder GDI petrol engine, producing 140PS. Customers will have the choice of a six-speed manual gearbox or Hyundai’s first dual-clutch transmission.
Hyundai’s Blue drive technologies -- integrating low rolling resistance tires and Intelligent Stop & Go technology-- will feature in the Veloster range providing competitive carbon dioxide emissions of 137g/km and a combined fuel economy of 47.9mpg.
Standard characteristics, which made the Veloster stand out from other rival offerings are its 17-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch Touch screen media centre with capability of playing games through consoles and videos from smartphones, climate control air conditioning, Bluetooth Connectivity with voice recognition, back and front fog lights, reversing sensors and striking LED daytime running lights.
The Veloster also comes with a stereo RDS Radio/CD Player with MP3/WMA compatibility as well as an iPod connection, with the capability to manage all functions on the leather steering wheel for additional convenience.
The Veloster Sport gains advantage from 18-inch alloy wheels with color inserts, a panoramic sunroof with tilt and slide function, black leather upholstery with heated front seats, keyless entry with engine start/stop button, cruise control and sporty alloy pedals.
Customers opting for the Sport derivative can choose to have a red leather interior as well as a media pack, which contains touch screen sat nav with back view parking camera, 7 speakers with Amp and subwoofer, and Parking Guidance System.
