The 2012 Range Rover will soon have new option packs that include additional aesthetic modifications. The Vogue and Autobiography models get a set of 20-inch V Spoke Alloy Wheels as well as additional stylish elements. John Edwards, Land Rover Global Brand Director, said that the Range Rover has never relinquished its reputation for being the “definitive, luxury SUV and one whose off-road performance matches its comfort levels and performance.”

He said that for 2012, the Range Rover will be “the one to beat” with its new equipment levels, improved styling and generous option packs. The most major aesthetic change is that the lights, tail lamp back plates get a gloss black finish while the front grille surround boasts of having the Narvik Black color. The luxury SUV also gets a set of new 20-inch V Spoke Alloy Wheels and body-colored door handles and side vents.

The Vogue Silver Pack and Vogue Black Pack are both offered with the Logic 7, 1200W Harman Kardon High Dynamics Audio System, heated and cooled seats for all passengers, and an 8-inch Dual View infotainment screen.

This enables the driver to view the navigation display while the passenger watches videos. The engine range hasn’t been changed and still includes the impressive 4.4 LR-TDV8 diesel with 313hp, which only emits 253g/km of CO2 when fitted with the ZF 8HP70 8-speed automatic transmission. The petrol versions include both the naturally aspirated (with 375hp) and supercharged versions of the 5.0-liter V8 engine (510hp).

The exterior of the 2012 Land Rover Range Rover has been improved with some changes in its detail styling. The front grille surround for example has a Narvik Black finish with the back plates of both the headlamp and tail lamp having a gloss black finish. Completing the changes done to the exterior are the alloy V-spoke 20-inch wheels with a mid-silver finish.

It also has the Range Rover logo on its center cap. The Range Rover Vogue variant will come with a more unique appearance as it will have that tailgate badge that will show whether the customer went with the Vogue Black Pack or the Vogue Silver Pack. Under the Black Pack, an Exterior Design Pack will be offered which includes a front bumper modifed to have fog lamp surrounds. Redesigned as well are the bumper in the rear, the side sills, and the exhaust finisher, made up of stainless steel.

It even has the 1,200-watt Logic 7 High Dynamics Harman Kardon Audio System.

Through the Dual View 8-inch infotainment screen installed, the driver can look at the navigation display while the passengers can watch a movie. The 2012 Range Rover will have the Grand Black wood veneers with an inlay that reads out 'Range Rover'. Offered as well are the autobiography veneers that make use of Anthracite Lined Oak, Ash Burl, or Burr Maple Prussian Blue. Land Rover Global Brand Director John Edwards shares that the Range Rover continues to be the perfect luxury SUV. It is an SUV, he adds, whose performance in off-road complements the level of comfort. With a new equipment level, specified option packs and new style, the Range Rover is indeed the one to beat for 2012, continues Edwards.
