Interested customers could now order the much-awaited and all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA, with prices starting from £24,355 OTR. The Mercedes-Benz CLA is a compact four-door coupé that exudes a good balance of fresh looks and practicality. Boasting alluring lines, the CLA could transport five people and boasts of a large, practical boot.

In the United Kingdom, the CLA range is available in two model lines – Sport and AMG Sport – both of which are powered with a choice of two fuel-efficient engines. The choice of four-cylinder petrol or diesel engines allows the vehicle to provide the highest possible economy while retaining the levels of performance and refinement standard of a Mercedes-Benz.

One of the models, the CLA 220 CDI, could accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 8.2-seconds but it could travel up to 62.9 miles using a gallon of fuel. The CLA, whether in Sport or AMG Sport, comes with wide-ranging standard equipment laden with the latest advances in comfort, safety and dynamic technologies.

A customer could have his CLA personalized through a number of key options available. The Exclusive package includes an Artico artificial leather upper dashboard with topstitching, armrest with topstitching, leather upholstery, four-way lumbar support in the front seats and velour floor mats with edging. It also comes with headed front seats that are available in three color choices for Sport variants: Lava Black, Hazelnut Brown and Crystal Grey; and in Lava Black with red perforations for AMG Sport lines.

The Exclusive package is available for £1,970 for Sport variants and £1,640 for AMG Sport variants. Aside from standard Jupiter Red and Cirrus White paint, a customer could opt to have his CLA finished in one of the five available metallic paints or in designo Magno Polar Silver for £1,480. He could also opt for designo Patagonia Red for £1,790.

This four-doored coupe gets its distinctive look from its astonishingly athletic dimensions and strong, vibrant design concepts that play between convex and concave lines.

The car's attractive elements include the hood with embedded power-domes in the front and the diamond radiator grille. The light components and LEDs at the back of the headlight’s glass cover have been configured in a way to produce the signature flared effect for the day driving lights and indicators. This light signature delineates the car's vibrant look and forms a new face for Mercedes.

Many details point to the fact that, from a design perspective, the CLA symbolises an additional development of the contemporary classic Mercedes-Benz CLS. Three dominant lines create a form for the automobile when seen from its profile: the front elemental edge above the wings pours to the rear in a distinctive dropping stroke. Another, more muscular line reaches across the shoulder over the rear axle, while the third line encompasses a sloping curve from the front wheel to the back. These lines together give the profile a deepness and vitality.

The rear, by emphasising its width, exudes strength and sportiness, presenting a relationship between curving lines and shapes. The subtle sloping roof form and the dominant, signature rear window curve provide the CLA with a coupé-style character from the rear as well. The sporty impression at the back comes from the drawn-in C-pillars along with the shoulder musculature over the wheel arch linings in the rear.
