2013 Peugeot 208 GTI Limited Edition already sold out

The batch of special launch edition of the Peugeot 208 GTi intended for the UK market has already sold out. Of the total 54 cars to be built, all 29 of the cars meant for the UK have found owners. The Peugeot GTI Limited Edition, which was unveiled at the recently held Paris motor show, will be offered together with the standard car during its launch in late May 2013.

It will have a starting price of £20,495. The standard car is likely to be priced at about £19,000.

Peugeot produced 29 units for the UK. The number signifies the years since the original 205 GTi was launched in 1984. Peugeot hopes that with this car, Peugeot will make consumers nostalgic about the iconic vehicle.

All of the special editions will feature a higher specification instead of additional power or chassis improvements compared to the standard 208 GTI. These cars will bear individual numbers and will feature sat-nav and DAB digital radio, the first time for a Peugeot to get these features.

The vehicle will have a pearlescent white finish. It will ride on a set of 17in Carbon Onyx Black alloy wheels and on its lower grille, there will be a Union Jack painted on.

Peugeot’s spot in the history of motor sport has been established. The DNA of the Marque has the best inheritable factors for the creation of the modern performance GTi, whether through advertising and promotions, its models, and its accomplishment in competition. The vision is to make a chic and playful sports car—a modern version of the legendary Peugeot GTi.

One glimpse of the automobile and it captures your attention with its sporty and sophisticated identity. There is no argument with the latest 208 derivative’s sportiness. Across the gloss black rear skirt, the exhaust has surfaces with a double tailpipe that is trapezoid chromed. This innovative design enhances the model’s uniqueness.

In bright chrome with red highlights accent, the quarter panel trim carries the GTi logo.

Without regard of the chosen color of its exterior, the red highlights are seen throughout the automobile: on brake calipers, grille lower bead, on the grille and on Peugeot letters on the tailgate. Furthermore, with chromed attachments in the gloss black grille, the grille has a 3D checkered mesh. The entirety is faintly enhanced by the hints of bright chrome on the surrounds of the fog lamp trim, the grille upper trim and the door mirrors.

By opening the doors of the vehicle, a passenger compartment that mirrors the paintwork is shown. The passenger compartment is remarkably sporty with its sill having the embossed name of its model. The color scheme integrates black, red and satin chrome. Up to its slightest detail, the interior is added with prominence with its red GTi overstitching throughout.
