Chrysler updated the 300 flagship sedan for the 2014 and unveiled the new car ahead of 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. The 2014 Chrysler 300S now carries even more blacked out design elements and comes with body-color door handles and fascia inserts, new Gloss Black belt molding, daylight opening surrounds and tail lamp bezels that are paired with Gloss Black headlamp bezels, a new Black Grome grille surround with sculpted horizontal grille blades, front and rear badges in Liquid Chrome with black “Chrysler” logo.
What’s more interesting is the availability of a Gloss Black painted roof. The exterior design is completed by 20-inch wheels, featuring a sculptural appearance and Hyper Black finish.
The AWD models get the 19-inch wheels. For the 2014MY, the Chrysler 300S also gets a new Dark Ceramic Gray color. Inside, we find 12-way power driver and passenger sport seats wrapped in all-new Ambassador Blue Nappa leather with silver accent stitching, a center console armrest and door armrests color matched to the seats, Piano Black on interior center stack, instrument panel, steering wheel, gauge cluster and door panel elements.
Moreover, we find matte carbon hydrographic accents and die-cast steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Furthermore, the Uconnect 8.4 system sits at the center of the new interior. The 2014 Chrysler 300S also comes with a Beats by Dr. Dre. audio system, with 10-speakers and a 12-channel amplifier.
Under the hood, there is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine with a cold-air induction system and sport-tuned exhaust system, which delivers 300 hp and 264 lb.-ft. (357 Nm) of torque.
The engine is bolted to an eight-speed automatic transmission with sport mode. For those who want even more, the 2014 Chrysler 300S is available with the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine rated at 370 hp. The engine comes with four-cylinder mode Fuel Saver Technology.
