Chrysler minivans have been around since 30 years ago. In celebration of this milestone, 30th Anniversary Edition packages have been launched for the 2014 Chrysler Town & Country and the 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. In November 1983, the first ever Chrysler minivan was built. Since then, over 13 million minivans have been sold by the automaker.
Aside from the “30th Anniversary Edition” badges, the 2014 Chrysler Town & Country 30th Anniversary Edition also gets a set of 17-inch wheels with dark accents and an available granite crystal pearl paint color. This minivan is based on a Touring-L model. Its interior gets black Nappa leather seat bolsters with Alcantara inserts, piano-black trim for the steering wheel and instrument cluster, power-folding third-row seats, power-folding mirrors, and another 30th Anniversary Edition logo on the keyfob.
In addition, the Town & Country gets the Driver’s Convenience package, which puts in heated first- and second-row seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable pedals, and push-button start. About the same upgrades are seen on the 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan 30th Anniversary Edition. It is fitted with 17-inch wheels, unique badges, optional granite crystal paint, and piano-black interior trim. Both SE and SXT models of the minivan can get this package.
The SE model will feature black cloth seats, a black leather-wrapped shift knob, power second- and third-row windows, chrome climate-control trim, a black headliner, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. Meanwhile, the SXT version of the Dodge Grand Caravan gets black leatherette seats with silver stitching; chrome trim for the foglight housings, window surrounds, and roof rack; automatic headlights; and a power driver’s seat.
2014 Chrysler Town & Country and 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan will be powered by a 283-hp, 3.6-liter V-6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Town & Country 30th Anniversary Edition has a starting price of $36,690 (which includes a $995 destination charge). The Grand Caravan SE 30th Anniversary costs $25,690, while the Grand Caravan SXT 30th Anniversary has a price tag of $28,990.
